First time visit, Relieved we didn't have to parking. Two lots available. Food was excellent, server extremely gracious.
12 min after being seated still no server. Someone "important" sat beside us and recieved excellent service but we still had to flag someone down for a drink. The food was average. Bacon was overcooked and cold, biscuit was cold, and the potatoes were old. I was so looking forward to a wonderful brunch based on the reviews but we were very disappointed. Would not recommend.
Service was very friendly, and the location was convenient (one block off M Street in Georgetown). Ambiance was pleasant. We asked to sit outside, and they rearranged tables to accommodate our party of 7. Food was all good (several of us tried pistachio soup, and liked it). All of the 6 different dishes we ordered (only one dupe) were reportedly good. My salad was good and all the others looked good to me. We had two vegetarians in our group, and they were both pleased with their orders. My only "complaint" is that the prices were a bit high. Not astronomical, but over $20 for the entrees on average (I think three of them were $24.95).
I would definitely return there, especially for a special occasion.
Food and service were exceptional! We went for brunch and had the quiche and eggs benedict with smoked salmon - both were great! Staff were friendly and my only (minor) complaint was that I had to ask for drink refills on water and coffee repeatedly. Not a big deal because otherwise the service and atmosphere were lovely.
Great meal and great service. Had been here with my wife and son who attends Georgetown for brunch but this was our first time for dinner. Had a great table, service was outstanding and the food was excellent. My wife had the risotto, my son the N.Y. strip and I had the filet. All perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Had the cookies and ice cream for dessert. That plus starters and wine all for about $90. Pretty reasonable by Georgetown standards. Would highly recommend for casual but nice dinner.
This was the first time I had been to Peacock Cafe in a while and it was better than I remembered! The food was delicious, the wait staff was attentive, and it was a great lunch! I will definitely be back as I work in the area and keep forgetting about this restaurant.
Delicious lunch in a quiet setting with excellent service.
Amazing experience. The food was delicious!
Neighborhood Gem is an excellent description of this place. I think of this as the neighborhood restaurant, or at least it is for me. Over the last 20 years I have eaten most of the items on the menu and there are none that I found lacking. The diversity of the menu may be the best part. If you have one person who wants something light, then there is plenty of that type of food. If someone else is Famished and needs a steak that is there. If you do not want to spend a lot then there are choices. If you want something terrific and bit fancy then that is there too
Great service coupled with a creative menu and a good atmosphere.
It was my first night in the DC area, so I wanted to eat somewhere casual yet with atmosphere and good food. Peacock Cafe exceeded expectations, and the service was great. Thanks!
From the moment we walked in, we felt very comfortable. Greeting, service, food excellent!
As always, the most gracious welcome and service.
Love, love, love P.C. I live in the neighborhood and this is my favorite restaurant. Delicious and nutritious!
Great Easter brunch! Service was excellent and we were not rushed.
Absolutely fantastically atmosphere and outstanding food with cordial service.
Amazing food selections on the menu. Staff very friendly and service spectacular. Will return again n
My friends and I had a great time here. The food was great and so was the service.
Always a pleasure visiting this wonderful restaurant
I always have a good time here at brunch. The hosting is always friendly, the service attentive, and the food is good.
A local favorite. Outstanding service. Fun and lively weekend brunch. Really nice menu for any meal; something for everyone. Tasty food and excellent drinks.
Our food was tasty and we enjoyed dinner at this bustling cafe. Will definitely go again next time we’re in Georgetown. It was not quiet but it was not too loud too enjoy the dinner.
Great as always!
Great meal thank you
The food was delicious...We had mussels and turkey sandwich. The servers friendly and attentively. It was a bit pricey for the size of our dishes but being a Georgetown restaurant is probably the cause.
Loud but not in a bad way, seemed very popular. Great service - very attentive with refilling water and any other needs. Love the smoothie options.
Everything was “good enough”, but I wasn’t blown away by any of the dishes. Tomato bisque was everday cream of tomato soup, and didn’t even have croutons. Jambalaya consisted of a seafood medley sauteed with onions and celery, with steamed white rice totally separate, which thus misses the whole point of Jambalaya, which is to cook the rice in the tomato-based sauce created from the sauteeing of the other ingredients.
There was an extensive selection of Belgian beers, for no clear reason.
Wonderful neighborhood spot
Peacock Cafe is my all time favorite restaurant in Washington DC and definitely in Georgetown.
I have been coming here since they first opened 20years ago. The food is always consistent and the service is amazing. The owner is always so cheerful and greets every table. This is a must go for anyone looking for a casual hip place in the heart of Georgetown. It’s great for dates and for an easy bite to eat. They are famous for their daily brunch menu but I think they are amazing at anytime of the day. Always fun to people watch here too with clients from Georgetown students, politicians and celebrities.
I have been going to peacock since tbey opened . Their service and staff is amazing and I have never had a bas experience. Highly recommend for any occasion
The food was awesome, the service was amazing. I even got a chance to shake the manager and the top chef's hand. They literally walked up to the table themselves and introduced themselves, and make sure that I was satisfied and pleased. Thank you! #FlavorsForPhlavors
Good option for brunch in Georgetown and special occasions. We went for a birthday and they made a lovely birthday treat for the guest of honor. Try the homemade juices and dessert. The service is very good. My only complaint is the bathrooms could be cleaner, but it was a busy weekend when we went so this may not always be an issue.
Great food and service. Nice brunch menu.
The food was very plain and average. Too expensive for the quality of the products. Very disappointing brunches...
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friends at Peacock Cafe. Our waitress was charming - polite, efficient and patient with our questions. Service was fast, and all our dishes were delicious. Our table was cozy and in a quiet spot as requested - we could not have been happier.
My Grand daughter and I had a special day together and I found this restaurant on Open Table with great reviews. My expectations were met and then some. The food was wonderful and my picky little eater left nothing on her plate. Since then - all she has done is talk to her parents about it and how the whole family should go there for dinner. The wait staff and host were attentive and most accommodating. It definitely was a find and we will absolutely go back!!!
Best breakfast/ brunch in Georgetown. Friendly prompt service, good coffeee great breakfast lunch selection. In good weather nice place to sit outside in the sun overlooking Prospect Street. Reservations generally needed.
i went for dinner and found the Peacock Cafe to have a cozy atmosphere, good food, and great service!
We love this place! Finally found a great place for Sunday brunch for our family with gluten free needs who take great care with our food AND they are so accommodating with great options (use delicious locally sourced Rise Bakery for their buns!). Both gluten and non-gluten eating members are happy here! Also had a wonderful dinner before taking Uber to the Kennedy Center one night before a show and it was delicious, quick and easy to get to the show on time!
The food was amazing. I had the beets and goat cheese, calamari, and the crab pesto risotto. My daughter had the ravioli. Everything was exceptional. Even the bread was on point. I ordered a French 77, which some bartenders don’t know what that is. They had no problem getting it together. I would definitely go back.
