The best restaurant in DC for brunch or any other occasion.
A nice place for lunch with a variety of healthy choices. Can’t get crowded and noisy at lunch but the turnovers fairly quick.
Great spot for lunch or brunch. Friendly service with a fun atmosphere.
Gracious host, lively atmosphere, delicious food
The service and staff were great. Lots of food and beverage options and they serve brunch until 4p!
Loved everything about the Peacock Cafe!
My friends and I took a chance and were more than pleasantly surprised. The food and service was amazing. We’ve decided it’s our meeting place for future meet ups. We all had the pre fixe menu, and everything was delicious.
Love this restaurant so much. And the sweetest host(ess) ever.
I forwarded to my guest location, etc and she never received it
Such a great menu! We had a lot of fun, the food was great, the restaurant was hopping but not too loud. Really fun place and great food.
Went for Valentine’s Day and it was such a cute atmosphere! They decorated with some balloons and gave each couple a beautiful flower. The food was amazing, we got the crab & pesto risotto and the filet mignon. Perfect portions and great flavors. Highly recommend for a date night or a girls night out!
We went for Valentine’s Day and it was wonder full service and food was spot on. Only thing is that the description for Valentine’s fixes menu in the email upon reservation was not the same when we arrived, but all went well.
We returned for our 7th visit while staying at the condo of Hotel Arya for the past month. We have always enjoyed meals at both Jaguar,Talavera and the Peacock Cafe. However, this past week when we went to our dinner reservation the young man ask us to seat a unmade table and I requested a different one and he said I will get you a better chair. So we waited and then I saw him taking drink orders with a group of student in side the bar , he came back out side to seat another couple. Still NO chair and I went over to him and I said .."do one job at a time". He said not to raise my voice with him! I said that this is not the way people are treated at any of your establishments. We then departed and said it will be along time before we return.
Sorry about this but there is no good reason for this treatment.
The service was so bad we ended up leaving. We had been there 20 minutes and no one had taken a drink order. We also had asked for our waiter twice. We ended up leaving after we realized the two tables around us had been there longer than we had and had also not been helped.
Food was very average - not bad not good
A great Sunday brunch. Our favorite DC brunch.
We truly loved our Saturday brunch at Peacock Cafe. The service and the food were exceptional. Their attention to all details was great!!
Great lunch spot for a white tablecloth experience without being too stuffy. Food is always solid. Humphrey Bogart sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, tomato, basil is my go-to and never disappoints. On a cold dreary day start with the tomato bisque.
Great experience as usual. The waiter overheard that it was a birthday dinner and surprised us with a dessert for the birthday gurl!
Food was very good and our service was friendly and attentive if a bit slow. Fortunately it was a casual lunch so not issues. Great time!
Dinner with my son!
My husband and I have loved Peacock for many years, we took our friends there this visit and It didn’t disappoint. 4 different entrees and we each raved. Service is always friendly and attentive. I appreciate their gluten free bread and menu items. They have a nice bar area where we like to eat as a twosome. We look forward to our next visit!

Good food and good service. Reliable dining spot.
Always love this spot for lunch. Delicious food and very attentive service. We also have had very nice light dinners here.
The food and service are great. It's just very loud. Especially when the college crowd gets a few drinks in them...
Service and food and ambience make it easy to return . Wonderful place to lunch with friends
Fantastic place, amazing food, last but not least great Moroccan host who takes care of everybody
Excellent service, management was very friendly as well.
Very nice host and waiter . Food was delicious
Great service. Wonderful food!! Can walk to Kennedy Center.
Wonderful location and brunch!! Will return!
great selection, perfect service and very handy location. This is a true DC jewel
Very enjoyable. The service was excellent. Kudos to our waiter Omer who was very attentive and inviting. Good job on attending to our needs. The food was very good, especially the lobster risotto which was delicious. not too heavy and not too light, just right. the dessert was excellent too. I'd go back.
Saturday night and my wife and I decided to stop in.
This place has been here forever and we have never been there. Shame on us.
We had the hummus appetizer and it’s was killer
Feeling full we split the roast chicken entree and they divided it up for us.
Our waiter was funny and the place made us feel at home.
We will make this a frequent staple for the wine and food.
My apologies for not spending my money there sooner.
Good service and nice range of options on the menu.
I’ve lived in DC about as long as this restaurant has been in business, and somehow tonight was my first visit. Sorry I waited so long! It was a great experience. From the Maitre D who ran to the door to open it for us as we were approaching the restaurant to our server, and various waitstaff and busing staff, the service was outstanding. Friendly, warm, attentive, knowledgeable about the food and wine, and yet not overbearing. The food was delicious. Our party of 3 (me, husband, teenage daughter) ordered 7 courses between us, and all agreed our food was excellent. Stand outs included the fried calamari appetizer (light, crispy, and very fresh tasting), the mushroom risotto, and the pumpkin bread pudding dessert. In a city with new, fabulous and hip restaurants popping up almost weekly, Peacock Cafe does seem a bit dated in terms of decor. But you quickly forget about that because of the welcoming staff, great food and overall energy of the dining and bar areas. So happy to find a great eatery in G’town. Will definitely return!
Slow service, it took more than 30 minutes for the server to take our order. The tablecloth was dirty with tomato sauce. The food was regular, expensive for the quality, they charged me more than the price stated on the menu for the salad that I ordered.
We were late for our reservation and the restaurant was very busy. The hostess was so kind and helpful. They squeezed us in with a very short wait and we were a large (hard to seat) party. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating! No surprise it’s a neighborhood favorite. We definitely go back.
