It was very hot at dinner time, otherwise 5 stars. It’s a heat wave so understandable but we’d have loved to have been moved to a cooler spot vs sitting there fanning ourselves by the door during our dinner.
Great and delicious! Great for foodies!
Always excellent food and excellent service. Never disappoints. They are opening what sounds like a great spot call Vintage 78 in the DuPont Circle area...we can’t wait to check it out...opens in a few weeks.
The pancakes were outstanding. They came with warm maple syrup loaded with sliced bananas and walnuts. When I’m in Georgetown, I always visit the Peacock for lunch. The service is good and the food is well prepared and presented. They have a large menu with something for everyone.
Always an excellent brunch when visiting Georgetown!
I took my mom to this restaurant when she visited from out of town. She wanted to eat a dish with crab, so we split the crab pesto risotto and crab cakes. Both were to die for and the atmosphere was perfect for good conversation.
Great food just done right.
Tuna Tartar we perfect done in an Japanese style w seaweed salad and wasbi sauce.
Dinner menu arugula salad, seafood jambalaya with saffron rice and cannoli as desert all done to perfection.
Will go back next visit to Georgetown.
The ONLY good place to eat in Georgetown, leave all the rest, they are tourist traps.
Fantastic food and drink options for an early Sunday morning. Everyone was happy with their food. Was a little pricey at the end.
Excellent food, a lovely variety, and stellar people.
Service was good and food was spot-on. My son said the calamari was the best he’s had in DC/Georgetown.
Birthday recorded in reservation, but no recognition. Waiter was absent throughout.
Recently we experienced brunch at the Peacock Cafe. It isn’t how I remember it to be in the past. The entrees are now very small, with 3/4 of the plate filled up with French fries. What you get is ordinary in taste and doesn’t match the price. Not enough servers at brunch time, making the wait time to get our meals noticeably long! Would no longer recommend it for brunch!
The service here was absolutely incredible! The only negative was that they wouldn't make absolutely any substitutions, not even if you couldn't eat a side dish due to allergy (like the tortilla chips). I found that a little ridiculous, but overall it was a great experience with good food, a nice atmosphere, and fantastic service.
Superb brunch! Excellent service and very fresh ingredients.
Food was okay. Didn’t have much flavor. Service was a little slow. Prices were reasonable
Visiting from out of town for a business trip, I had to make reservations for a party of 5 at the last minute. Not only were they very accommodating of a party our size, but the service was friendly and professional. Food and drinks were delicious. Ambiance and location are convenient. Big kudos to Bianca, our bartender and drink mixologist.
Food was great as always, the wait staff were perfect and incredibly accommodating.
I had the smoked salmon omlette, which was light, tender, and tasty. And the service was reasonably prompt buring a busy Father's Day brunch. The atmosphere was orderly.
Father’s Day Brunch terrific !!!
Food and service superb—
Lovely evening- great food with great friends!
Good service. Excellent food. Nice ambiance. Hope to return soon.
Very enjoyable oasis just off the main thoroughfares of Georgetown.
Seated right away and we got the choice of inside or outside. Brunch menu every item is to die for. Eggs Benedict is the best with the shoe string fries!
We were seated outside, which was lovely. The food was tasty, but not exceptional. The service was excellent and we were well attended to.
Outstanding food and service. Always top notch
Es un lugar agradable con buena cocina y mejores Martinis. Ambiente relajado para reunirse entre amigos y familia.
We love Peacock Cafe! The service is ALWAYS excellent and the food is very consistently good. What makes it special for brunch on Sundays (when we go) are the delicious smoothies and the ambiance. I particularly like that there is a standard egg dish that comes with a biscuit, breakfast meat and french fry like chopped potatoes for about 14$. My partner loves the smoked salmon omelette.
Amazing!! Great service and excellent food!
Nice place attentive staff interesting menu would definitely go there again
Service was extremely slow. We sat outside on the patio. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered the beets with goat cheese appetizer, which was served cold along with the peacock salad, which was too heavy on the dressing. My husband ordered the fish, which was the best he’d ever had. The prices were high for portion size.
Shahab, the owner, is always very welcoming and attentive. Every time I have eaten here the food and atmosphere have been terrific.
This was our 1st time here and we definitely enjoyed it. They offer bread while waiting for your appetizers, but I really like that they do not give a bowl of it. They give you one, which is freshly baked, and a little butter on the side. This way you don't fill up on bread. I ordered the salad with apples and goat cheese and my husband ordered the tomato bisque. Both we're delicious, and for my husband not being a tomato fan, that is saying alot. He also commented it was a good serving size knowing he has a steak coming. They seafood Jambalaya was really good as well and the fish was cooked perfectly. Only complaint, the shrimp was a little over cooked, but it didn't hinder the meal at all. We didn't finish because we wanted to share a dessert. The white and dark chocolate moouse was rich, best to share it if you don't cant handle too much richness. I liked my mojito more than the pomegranate margarita. We would definitely come back, there are a few other items we would like to try.
We had a great time at Peacock Cafe. I was happy to see that others had children with them when we entered, as we wanted a family dinner. The decor was great as there was mood lighting, nice artwork, and just a great looking restaurant. There was outside seating, but on a cool, rainy evening, everyone was inside. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable, and someone who appeared to be one of the Chefs came out to bring our appetizers and our meal. He was impressed a 10 year old ordered the curry lamb burger and came back after we ate to ask how everything was and tell the 10 year old that he was impressed with his palette. :) I would go back. The tropical margaritas were great, the calamari, nachos, and arugula salad was great, and our entrees - salmon, curry lamb burger, and jambalaya was delicious!
We took my wife for Mother's Day Brunch. It was all we expected and then some. She loved it and the rose at the end of our meal was a very nice touch!
Interesting brunch menu, busy and boisterous. People around us who were seated later got their food significantly before us(10+ mins) which was annoying. Fun vibe, delicious food so would definitely go back.
We were very pleased with both the service and the food. The location in Georgetown was good, especially for walking around after dinner.
Loved the food, ambience and service! Everything was excellent. Pistachio soup, hummus, fettuccine, burger, and caesar with salmon cake were tremendous. They saw reservation was for my husband’s birthday and brought dessert with candle, all without asking! Definitely will return. Wonderful.
It's been years since my wife and I visited. We loved it years ago and continue to be impressed with the food and service. We made a promise to ourselves to visit on a regular basis.
