Absolutely superb food and superb service. Our waitress, Summer, was very attentive and professionsal. The choice and range of foods was outstanding. There is also a great choice for vegetarians. I would definitely recommend Peacock Alley for a Christmas buffet: fantastic.

I went to Peacock Alley for Christmas brunch. We always go to hotels for their holiday brunches. We go to nice places. Our favorite is actually Seasons in Washington, DC. We went to Peacock Alley as the Four Seasons in NYC doesn't offer a buffet - only a plated dinner. We weren't impressed. The food was lacking as the hotel was trying to hard to be foodie and they fell short. The seafood (crab claws and shrimp) had no taste at all. The 'traditional fare' had mashed potatoes with so much pesto, they were green. Spices should enhance the flavor of a dish - not be the flavor. The cauliflower au gratin was way too rich. The lobster manicotti was 'fishy'. I think there was turkey but I didn't try it. The desserts were all too sugary which most people love but it is a turn off for me. I usually do a small slice of pumpkin or apple pie but they didn't have anything resembling pie or cookies. They did have baked Alaska pops which my husband tried. It looked like a marshmallow melting off a stick. I didn't eat much - 2-3 crab claws and 5 pieces of shrimp along with 3 small cubes of cheese. Two hours later I was hungry. The good news is in NYC on Christmas, I was able to get a bagel. The bad news is that after spending $200/person for brunch, 2 hours later I was hungry. The hotel also is very quick to tell you multiple times that you only have two hours to eat. I'm fine with this but they also need to tell people to leave their phones in their pockets. There were way too many people walking around the buffet taking photos and videos. It was annoying to others as the space was too small. Every five steps, you were having to stop for someone or they were holding everything up so they could video. Please tell people that the space isn't big enough for this action. Many of those dining at this restaurant were just flat out annoyed. If you can tell people they have 2 hours to eat, you can tell them to put their phones away.

Just a quick meeting over coffee but great service, nice atmosphere and felt comfortable to linger if we wanted.

I was highly disappointed with the Peacock Room. Poor service, poor food, as others have mentioned. Salads came with the entrees, servers not attentive and dishes sat dirty on table and my guests were stacking their dirty dishes to make room. Filet mignon small and overcooked - really one of the worst I've had. Ordered wine and they were out of the first 2 we chose. Paid $450 and no one was pleased.

Had Waldorf salad at Peacock Alley Cafe, Waldorf Astoria today. *Only* nineteen dollars. Does spelling the number 19 make it a better value? Made with 1 apple, 2 grapes and 3 walnuts -- delicious though :-) We were paying for the ambiance -- chimes on the quarter hour from the incredible lobby clock, sitting next to Cole Porter's piano. Worth it! :-)

It's just wasn't anything special. You can find a better breakfast for cheaper. Definitely not worth the price

This was a horrible experience. Too noisy and too dimly lit. Food selection was not as expected. As usual the lobster was overcooked. One selection of ham was extremely salty, to the point of being inedible. Charged $9.00 for a bottle of water, not sparkling. Difficulty retrieving our coats from staff. Difficulty exiting the premises. Door to Park Avenue was not available. Was sent to parking garage to exit. We did not drive there. It was awful. Just plain awful. Thankful it is over.

Brunch is fabulous! Fresh seafood bar is the best- selections of caviar with all the trimmings and salmon, lobster tails, shrimp, oysters and clams. The beef Wellington and leg of lamb are outstanding, as are the hot entrees and side dishes. Desserts are outstanding, especially the bread pudding and Baked Alaska. Service is best in class!

Okay so here's the deal. Everyone has heard of Waldorf Brunch, the absurdly expensive buffet-style feast. I have always wanted to do it, finally pulled the trigger, and have to say was slightly disappointed. For the price ($175 each after tax and auto-added gratuity) I expected WAY better service and honestly, better quality food. Besides the host who sat us, the service was abysmal. My napkin was never folded when I left it on my seat, our plates were never cleared unless we asked for them to be, unacceptable for the price tag; not to mention the language barrier with the servers. The food stations offered great variety but the quality lacked. The shrimp were somewhat slimy, the oysters were terrible and poorly shucked, the egg station was horribly executed (everything runny and too much grease). The desserts actually could have been better, larger cakes by the slice would be more appealing and some sort of ice cream/gelato would have been appreciated. My final pet peeve is improper silverware and the lack of shellfish forks, crackers for the crab, and spoons for the caviar was fairly off-putting. It was a delicious brunch but definitely was dissatisfied knowing how much I was paying (as my date presumably did not and seemed satisfied).

Completely overpriced and not worth it. The brunch was $145 plus tax and built in tip meant it was $180 each. The service was awful. Beyond awful. The food was good and there is lots of it. The 'restaurant' itself is right in the middle of check in so it is all one big room with check in on one side, people walking down the middle and food and tables on the other. Definitely not worth the $180 price tag - go elsewhere!
