the brunch was way overpriced for what was available. The deserts table was slim to none. WSas never asked if we wanted refills on our beverages.
We were there for Mother's Day brunch. Our reservation was 12:45 pm and reservations were taken until 2 pm. By 1:05 pm, you ran out of prime rib (which was listed as one of the foods served on your brunch menu), most of the fruit was out (to which the owner, when I asked, gruffly told me you were out and that was it), and the caramel rolls were out and no longer available. Yet, the price remained the same, with no apologies, rather grumpiness from the owner for even asking about these items. What happened to those seated later? What else ran out? The restaurant was closed, but to reservations only. Poor allocations for the reservation count. Poor attitude from the owner, to say the least. We've come there for all of our special occasions and more. Not any longer.
Visiting from out of state, read reviews of this place so we got reservations for their mother's day brunch. They sat us late, they never told us some of the di she's had to be ordered. Food ran out as we there and the never restocked but kept seating people for the brunch. Staff didn't seem to care and one of the busser's was just flat rude about it. The food we did have was good but they sure didn't seem to care about the patrons.
We had an excellent dining experience for the Mother's Day Brunch. The food variety was excellent and we found plenty of things to fill our plates and our bellies. We were fortunately able to be seated at a traditional dining table (versus a high top) to accommodate a toddler. We were checked on frequently and were offered refills and service in a timely manner.
I ordered the pork loin and the flavors we're good, but the meat was a little dry and the veggies weren't very hot.
The food and service were very good. My only negative would be the lighting. Too dark to see the menu. Other than that, great experience.
Waiter was very inattentive. Steaks we over cooked. Spoke to some locals the day after and they’ve had similar experiences. Bar area is probably where you want to eat.
Very disappointed with Easter buffet and service. Will not do that again.
Attended for Easter Sunday Brunch. Food and selection was good. Service was horrible and not sure why. We asked for waters and those didn’t come. When there is a buffet, servers need to get drinks and clear plates and that was not done.
The food was great however the service not so much.
Food was great but did not realize I had to ask for bread and a salad after declining the soup of the day. I will choose more wisely next time but thought my server could have guided me better too.
We made reservations for Valentine’s Day. It was apparent that the earlier tables had table cloths. We did not. Our waiter didn’t check on us until it was time for dessert. The food was excellent but the service, especially when it wasn’t extremely busy and it was a special occasion, left a lot to be desired.
Great food, great service!
Had group of 12 reservation..food and drinks were great..service was impeccable...quiet enough for conversation...very enjoyable! Perfect!
Excellent service and superb food! We love coming here!!
We made a reservation for a nice supper out for our anniversary. We arrive about 15 minutes early and we're seated immediately in a back area by ourselves. Not very romantic and the table had a serious wobble to it. Thank food was excellent! We both had the sirloin with mushroom pepper cream sauce. Highly recommend! Service was a little rushed but good. Overall. We would do it again!
Peacock Alley is absolutely beautiful inside. It was perfect for a romantic date. It was a very quiet setting, and even had a lit candle on the table. The food was delicious, only complaint is that my burger was a little too greasy that it soaked my bun and made it soggy. Otherwise our food was great quality. Service was great also, got seated right away and server was very polite and not always bothering us, but catered to us when needed. Thanks Peacock Alley!
The 26 oz beef ribeye steak was Not the correct cut of meat and the regular ribeye was not cooked to specifications. It was cooked rare not medium. The trip was a disappointment as we work all year to raise certified angus beef and the meal was not up to satisfaction.
Food nothing special. Way to much sodium in dish.
Food not warm. Yet alone hot.
Very good service...good food....good atmosphere. Bar separated from dining so the noise level was low and very good for conversations. It was a very enjoyable evening!
We were there early in the evening, but they were already out of salmon. Big disappointment. Service was spotty, not organized. I’ve eaten several times at Peacock Alley, this was one of the low points.
The Peacock Alley is a great place for conversation, fun and food!
Good food and great service, but not the right atmosphere for a quiet dinner. The noise from the bar makes conversation difficult and is a distraction from the dining experience.
Good atmosphere, good food and a killer Espresso Martini. Had the filet which was cooked just to my liking and it had a very good flavor. After dinner I ordered an Espresso Martini and WOW! The bar setting was pleasant and not too noisy. Great location downtown and easy to get to.
We had great food. Was nice to be able to switch out the dressing choice. Was also nice to receive an extra dressing. Julene was our server and did a great job !
We we're in town from Texas in business and chose the bar area seating as opposed to the dining room. A group of girls at the bar were playing a game and screaming so that made it hard to hear each other, but they have a dining room if you want a quieter venue. It's hard to find decent healthy options in the area so this place was GREAT. Good salad selection and actual vegtables with entrees was a nice change. Service was excellent! He was very attentive and timely with everything we needed and we drank and ate a lot. We'll be back for sure.
ahhhhhmazing! tried the Asian pork nachos they were fantastic as well as the rest of the food!
The butter that is served with the bread here is out of this world, and the Ribeye was the best I have ever had. I could eat that dish every day.
We had a party of 8 and our server Sequoia took great care of us. We tried several recommended appetizers that were excellent (Asian Nachos were a big hit.). We had a great evening and the food was very good.
We hadn't eaten there for a long time and we were all 4 impressed with the food, the waiter, the selection. I like that it was light enough to see the menu and that it wasn't so cold that you have to have a coat on to eat like most places. It was quiet enough to talk which is also nice. We plan to eat here more often.
Ate there while visiting Bismarck, ND. Food was okay. Very nice wait staff.
Oh goodness, their steaks are consistently among the best on the planet. And the service is always just superb.
The waitress was very friendly. The chef came out to check with several tables to make sure they were enjoying their meals. The seafood was especially good.
This was one of the finer dining restaurants in Bismarck but the menu has been changed and is not as foodie oriented as before. It is less expensive but the food is no longer anything special like it was before.
Our server was terrible - had to complain several times. He spilled wine on the table and didn't offer to replace my glass or try and clean it up
Overall dinner was fabulous. You can't beat the environment. Open and airy space shows off the dark wood of this historic establishment, and tables are spaced well apart, so you don't feel at all crowded. Service was attentive and efficient with an excellent suggestion for an appetizer that everyone at the table enjoyed.
All the people I hosted for the dinner raved about the food. My only complaint was with the ribeye steak I ordered. It was cooked to the perfect degree of done, but was horribly over seasoned and most of the steak consisted of gristle and fat. If we had not been pressed for time, it would have gone back to the kitchen.
This is a lovely restaurant in a historic building with amazing service, and, for the most part, excellent food. You should definitely have dinner here.
I hosted seven for the Easter Brunch. The food was absolutely stellar! There was ample food, very tasty, and the right serving temperature. No one left hungry or disappointed. I look forward to it every year! They did an outstanding job and I loved the wide variety of menu options. Thanks for a memorable occasion!
We went to the Easter Brunch. It was delicious! The brunch was sold out, so it was crowded with people waiting for their reservation. But there were places to sit and wait. The service was great, quick to bring the beverages, and explain the order of the buffet lines. The food was delicious, many choices. We left very, very happy and full! We will go again.
Went for the special brunch offered for Easter, the food was fabulous and the staff was very attentive and accommodating. Considering making this our Easter tradition.
I have been there before and have always enjoyed. This time the service was terrible and the food was over cooked, must have been a bad day. Person beside us had the same problem with a different server.
