Peach Blossom at Turning Stone Ratings and Reviews
We have dined at Peach Blossom many many times and each time the food is outstanding and the staff goes above and beyond to make your dining experience very enjoyable. Everytime we visit TS we always make it a point to dine here. Haven't tried anything on the menu yet that we haven't liked and we have definitely tried a wide variety. We will be coming back to Peach Blossom many more times in the future.
My wife and I had been to Peach Blossom a couple of years ago and were very pleased with our experience then. When the time finally came for us to celebrate our retirements, we decided to revisit Peach Blossom. Although their menu has changed quite a bit over the past few years, the quality, ambiance, attentiveness, and attention to detail of the restaurant remain excellent and we had a wonderful dinner. Peach Blossom features a "traditional" menu on the back page of their regular menu, and their traditional items really can't be found elsewhere in our local area. We ordered the jellyfish for our appetizer (enough for two), special ordered a medium size bowl of the Clam and Tofu Soup. Our server suggested the large bowl on the menu would be much too large for two, and she was absolutely correct. We also ordered two traditional entrees (Duck Tongue in Brown Sauce and Conch and Squid with Yellow Chives) and one vegetable (Baby Eggplant Szechwan Style) for our entree course, which we requested be served family style. All items were delicious, and were served with a side plate of multiple hot sauces which we could use to adjust the heat to our tastes. My wife and I both preferred to use the "hot oil" sauce after trying all three. Personally, I thought the clam and tofu soup was rather bland, but it really came alive with the addition of some hot oil sauce, which floated attractively on the surface. Our dinner also included complimentary hot tea and sides of sticky rice and/or fried rice (we requested both). Although we both have hearty appetites, we took advantage of take-out cartons for some of our leftovers. With the addition of some cooked shrimp, we had enough take-out for a marvelous dinner the following evening. Well done, Peach Blossom!
My husband/family and friends have been going to the Peach Blossom for over 20 years. We find it to be our favorite Chinese restaurant anywhere we have ever been. We have come to know Terri the waitress and she is extraordinary and friendly. We love the food, the service and it is part of Turning Stone Casino which we love too!!! My husband's favorite is the beef and scallops, mine is any shrimp dish. WONDERFUL, 5 stars!!
I love the relaxed feel of this place – we were early for our reservation and were able to be seated when we got there. The entire staff was very personable. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Chiang Mai Chicken In Lettuce Wraps was served with the 3 hot sauces on the side was delicious. The spicy mustard was my favorite. The Hunan beef and scallops was outstanding as well as the Szechwan Triple Delight. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Will definitely be recommending The Peach Blossom to friends and family!
Service and ambiance was great. We did not have to wait long for our meals. Everything tasted good. Service clearing the table was fast and efficient. The check was brought to us quickly.
All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely eat there again.
This was a long awaited date with my husband. The atmosphere was wonderful, quiet and great service, but the food did not impress us and it was pricey. There were crunchy noodles brought to the table with a type of sweet & sour sauce, which I believe I've bought in a jar before. It didn't taste homemade at all. The Peach blossom martini was good and so were the steamed pork dumpling appetizer of which were 6, but very small. His entree of Orange Chicken was good and plentiful, but the orange sauce was very similar to that of orange marmalade from a jar. My entree was the Chicken and Eggplant that was served in a clay pot. Again, there was plenty of it, but it didn't impress me. We both ordered our spice level to be medium as we were told that the mild level was almost non-existant and we were worried that the hotter level would be too much for us to enjoy without our mouths on fire. However, the medium level was also non-existant. We had an enjoyable time being out together, but probably wouldn't go back anytime soon. We can get better Chinese type food locally for a fraction of the price. Our meal cost $45.00 not including a tip on top of that. I think we might go there for a lunch date, but they are not open during lunch and are closed 2 days in the middle of the week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so we had to re-arrange our plans and decided to go early on a Thursday evening. Hope this review helps.
