    It was so nice to taste so many different dishes. Everything was delicious and different from the dish before. The staff were excellent and so were the cocktails. Highly recommend.

    We’ve been eating here for over 10 years now. A real favourite! Yesterday’s tasting menu was the best yet. A real flavour fest! The beef tostada was an absolute masterpiece! But every course was top drawer!

    Another superb evening. Our food was so cleverly thought out to suit the1980's theme. Amazing how the chef comes up with so many different dishes. All our courses were delicious but the sichuan pepper macaron was incredible. All the staff were wonderful with us, very friendly, attentive and they really made our evening special. Looking forward to another visit. Joy and Roy

    Service was excellent and attentive without being overbearing. We chose the £65 menu. All dishes were beautifully presented but some were more style than substance. The Egg and Chips starter was bland (but pretty); the chicken broth was reminiscent of chicken oxo; the Wild Garlic bonbon again was elegant but far too salty. The fish and chops foccacia again high on imagination but not so hot on flavour. The main dishes of stone bass and guineafowl were the highlight. These did have great flavours and textures. Mango sorbet was refreshing; the desserts once again were good to look at but did not tingle the tastebuds. For the effort put into the food and different dishes on offer I think it is quite good value - you can pay nearly this much for three courses in some pubs. So - it is worth a visit and you will have an entertaining evening exploring the menu. But, something is missing with regard to exciting flavours. I think Dave needs to do more 'tasting of' rather then 'looking at' his dishes. It is a few years since we last visited. Undoubtedly front of house is much better; but we had hoped to be 'blown away' - we weren't...

    Our first visit and definitely won't be our last! Service was spot on and food was delectable..... we had lunch menu and it was excellent value for money. The beef cheeks were delicious and every course was extremely tasty. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

    A fabulous experience (tasting menu with matched wines). Perfectly paced, prepared and presented. Interesting and satisfying with wonderful service. It’s not cheap but if you consider the quality of food and service, added to the fact it’s ‘more than a meal’ more of an experience, it’s worth it. Thank you P&L

    I was really looking forward to my birthday treat and we chose the tasting menu. I have been here a number of times albeit not for a couple of years. Service was good but the food was really poor. Very stodgy, carb heavy first 5 courses and pretty tasteless. The portion sizes were larger than I would have expected for a tasting menu as well. My suggestion would be to reduce the number of courses from 12 to 7 or 8 for the same price and focus on the quality

    We ate at 6pm on a Thursday and were able to order the £35 set meal. The food was exceptional and fantastic value for money. The staff were attentive and informative and the overall experience was brilliant.
