Pazzo's sadly is now closed and it appears permanently. Not sure why it closed at this location.

I've gone to lunch several times at Pazzo's and I have found the food to be consistently very good, the ambiance quiet and the service excellent. It is a hidden gem in an area with few nice sit-down restaurants.

I've been to other Cocopazzo restaurants and enjoyed them, so thought we would give this one a try. We were the only ones in the restaurant, which should have been a clue. My son asked if there was a beer list. The server said, "No, and I don't really remember what beers we have, so your best bet it probably to go to the bar and ask." After we placed our drink order, the server said, "Do you want to order your food since I'm already here?" (as if it would be an inconvenience to return). My blackened tilapia special was okay. The salad with candied walnuts and apples had mostly lettuce. It was like mining for gold on a treasure hunt trying to find the few cranberries, walnuts(which weren't candied) and apples. The orecchiette dish was bland. The waiter corrected my son on the pronunciation of the dish, which was rather humorous, as my son pronounced it correctly. Since one of us was celebrating a birthday, we were given a free tiramisu with a sparkler. It was definitely not one of the better versions of tiramisus we've had. Though it did make things festive. Definitely we will not be going back, unless it is to check out if the bar in the basement is any better.

Went to Pazzo's a week ago (May 21) to meet a niece from Dallas who was in Chicago for a work convention. She stayed at the Congress Plaza Hotel, which was around a 3 block or so walk from the hotel. Chicago was kind of a ghost town on Sunday night, and so was the restaurant. Restaurant is on Jackson Street, just off Wabash, and DePaul University is a next door neighbor. That would explain the 3 flat panel TV's in the restaurant.

Pazzo's didn't have Italian decor, and seemed to be more modern in appearance. Main floor dining and an elevated section to the left of the main entry. Bar was right of the entry. Louis (Lewis?) was our server and it appeared he was tending to the entire restaurant. He did an amazing job.

I ordered Chicken Parmigiana and it was quite good. Pasta was al dente and the chicken breast was large, pan fried, and done very well.

Total for 3 meals, 2 appetizers, 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer was $117, excluding tip. I probably won't be back, as I reside between Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin, and Chicago is a long way to drive for Italian.

We celebrated my daughters 13th birthday at Pazzo's on Saturday. The staff were beyond attentive and polite. At the end she was presented with three cannolis ( her favorite!) with a huge candle. Needless to say, she will never forget her night in Chicago. Thank you so much!

All good but the pasta de mar was skimpy on the seafood; tiny scallops and just a few, two clams. Three nice shrimp

We were a party of 6 for an early dinner (5:30) on a Saturday. We were not the only ones there, but there were plenty of open tables. It started to fill up more when we were leaving. Food was amazing, came out super fast, and the wait staff was attentive without being pests. The food was fantastic! Everyone was very pleased with what they got. Desserts were great too. I would go back on a regular basis if we lived in Chicago.

A friend and I tried Pazzo's because it was within a block of our hotel. It was a very pleasant surprise. The cocktails were fine, the food was excellent, the service was superb, and the price was very reasonable for a Loop restaurant. We will return.

We lunched at Pazzo's in advance of the matinee at Symphony Center. The restaurant was quiet, probably because it was Good Friday. The Maitre d' met us and escorted us immediately to our table where our son waited for us. I had the chopped salad, one of the best I've eaten. My son had the Pollo Della Casa. The meal was prepared quickly, and served well. The waiters refilled our glasses frequently. The wait staff was attentive to the time so that we received our check in plenty of time to make our matinee. The kitchen and the dining room appear to be very well managed. I plan to return for another meal.

We read great reviews about this place. People raved about the food & service. The restaurant was near our hotel (Hilton) and so, we decided to walk over. It was a rainy, cold evening and when we walked in, it was less then 1/4 full. The hostess & our waiter were not rude but neither one was what you could call "great". Our food arrived very hot and in very large portions. I got the angel hair pasta with Roma tomatoes in an olive oil, white wine & garlic sauce. I asked if they could add mushrooms and any other fresh vegetables they had handy. My friend ordered the fish. When our meals arrived, his fish was dry and I, not only saw little pieces of what looked like shaved mushrooms but there were 4 tiny pieces of a tomato. This was extra vegetables? As we started to eat, you could see the disappointment on our faces. We each took a bite of the other's meal and my friend asked the waiter for garlic salt and lots of lemon. Once we seasoned our meals, the food tasted fine.
Maybe it was just an off night.

The restaurant was not quite what we expected. Pros: The food tasted good and the service was great. Very kind, welcoming, attentive employees. It was easy walking distance to downtown theaters. It was very kid-friendly --- we saw several families and large groups. Cons: The wine list is limited and basic, which was disappointing. It was much more casual than we expected, with 4 sports events playing on tvs in the dining room. This would be a great casual stop for groups or families, but not so much for date night.

We chose this restaurant because the price was reasonable and it was walking distance to Harris Theater. In comparison to similar restaurants, the prices were reasonable and it really was close to Harris. The ambiance was not fancy, relatively quiet, the service was attentive. the wine list was pretty good as was the bread. I felt like I ordered the wrong thing and would go again and try something else. My husband's meal (chicken vesuvio) was much better than mine.

Great food. My husband had the talapia with garlic mashed potatoes. He was very happy with it. I had a house salad - walnuts, goat cheese, raspberry vinagrete, and Chicken Vesuvio sandwich. Both were excellent. Very good martinis and bellinis also. Restaurant is within a few blocks of the Auditorium Theatre and the Symphony center.

It is a shame this place was not more crowded on a recent Friday evening. Although my expectations were somewhat lowered by various reviews, I can honestly say our meal was quite good! The polenta appetizer was exceptional in presentation and flavor, and the scallops and linquini were very fresh - seasoned and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and served on very large modern plates. Service was prompt and friendly, and the total bill was very reasonable. Unfortunately, we were seated in the back on the main floor, which was like being in an ordinary cafe. The upper dining area looked to be a bit warmer with booths and stack stone walls. If I were in the loop again in the evening, or going to nearby Symphony Center, I would definitely go back, and request to sit upstairs.
