Pazzo's Cucina Italiana is popular among patrons for its authentic Italian cuisine. The high-ceilinged restaurant features both booth-style and table and chair seating arrangements and has wooden furniture all over. There are several stylish, large lamps hanging down, glasses with Pazzo's imprinted and each table has a vase with fresh flowers. The ambiance is classy and welcoming, while the noise levels are average, making it a good spot for having a business meeting, lunch with friends and dinner with family.
Pazzo's Cucina Italiana has a full Italian menu which is divided into several categories, such as popular items, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, homemade fresh pizzas, entrées and desserts. Customers have the option to create their own pizza, as well. For homebodies, the restaurant offers online ordering and delivery service. Pazzo's Cucina Italiana features an outdoor seating option where customers can eat their food while enjoying the fresh air.
Great pasta dishes. Really good portions for the price. Great patio for outdoor lunches
Good service and atmosphere for business lunch; easy to talk and private - tables not close together
Just love that I can count on Pazzo's for a delicious quick lunch!
We will be visiting Pazzo's again soon. It was a pleasant pre-show experience.
Nothing. It was surprising empty yet bad sevice.our waitress vanished. Until we asked what happen
I recommend highly! Great for lunch or after-work! Great service and food.
The service is amazing.
We should have known when we walked into an empty room at noon on a Thursday. The pasta special really should have been called "pasta surprise" because the only thing special about it was it cost about $8 more than it should. Service was rushed, then absent completely. I don't get why they wanted us out so fast when the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was ok, however I can think of at least a half-dozen places within a 5-iron that provide better value. I'm excited to try whatever takes the space next, though, since this place won't last.
Pazzo's is my go to place for lunch in the Loop. Never disappointed and a great value.
This new branch of Coco Pazzo is excellent! The only reason it wasn't mobbed before the opera last Saturday night must be that it is not yet well known. We were delayed because Othello at Navy Pier ran long, but I called ahead and was accommodated easily and cheerfully. The waiter was excellent, recommending an excellent pinot grigio from Venice to go with my sauteed sea scallops, which were perfect in a wine cream sauce. My companion had the fusilli with Italian sausage, which he loved. While I had no dessert, he enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake. Even though we had been late, arriving after 6:15 for a 7:30 opera across the street, we were there in plenty of time. We will be sure to return.
The service is always friendly and the food is fantastic!
I go there for business lunches and the atmosphere is perfect for small group discussions.
Great for a quick business lunch. Excellent service.
Very long wait at lunch time: since seated waited for half hour for the food to come.
Offered a second basket of bread after 40 minutes or so, after all the food came, obviously no longer needed.
The waiter disappeared after taking our order and never returned until it was time to present the check. Our food was delivered by other kitchen help. The fish entree was breaded even though this was not noted on the menu. We would have mentioned this if we had ever seen our waiter. It was so slow that even though we had planned on having dessert and allowed 1 hr and 45 minutes, there wasn't time to have dessert or coffee by the time the waiter reappeared. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
Made reservations for 5:30, because it was close to the Lyric Opera. Front dining room/bar is pretty loud (after work crowd), I didn't mind it and the hostess did offer us a table in the back dining room if we wanted something more quiet. The food was great, service was good, our server did not hover but was always around when needed. I would definitely recommend this place for a drink after work or dinner before the opera.
I have never had a bad meal at Pazzo's. Great Italian food with great service. Wine list and bar offerings are excellent. I love this place!
We last ate here just after they opened. The food was mediocre, and the service terrible. We decided to give them another try. They've improved their menu, and the service is greatly improved. We'll be back prior to our next opera.
Food was great! Staff were very kind and helpful!
I was at the restaurant twice in two weeks and, both times, the food was delicious and the servers were attentive but never bothersome. Pazzo's is a good quality restaurant that's close to the office and friendly.
Nothing stands out on the menu. Pasta is average to good but not outstanding; "spicy," the servers explain, means "not really spicy," and that blandness carries through. Antipasto arrives on a chilled plate, meaning it has been sitting in refrigeration; it's not bad, but it's all very cold. Salads are large, generous with ingredients, but not distinctive. Nothing is distinctive. It's close to lots of businesses but at 6.30 or 7 on a weeknight it's almost empty, while places a block south are crammed. We felt sorry for the servers and were glad to duck out for our train.
We were looking for a place to eat before the theatre and it was only a few blocks away. The service was fast. Our waitress made recommendations that we appreciated. We would go there again.
We were seated on time and the staff were very welcoming. The calamari appetizer was delicious and the Italian entrees were very good but not outstanding. We definitely would return to this very comfortable restaurant.
My friends and I get together 4 times year to celebrate our birthdays. We love this place. The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the location is great. We have never been disappointed.
In summer, sit outside. When the after work crowd comes, it can get noisy near the bar, but not so that conversation is blocked.
Great for before the opera. They are careful to get you out in time for performance,
Have a light meal or go for the whole pasta and decadent dessert tray.
went with work colleagues for lunch. Mushroom soup tasted like it hadn't been cooked long enough for the flavors to meld and the lasagna somehow didn't taste as good as usual either. But I have gone many times and this was unusual. Maybe the chef was off that day.
I made a reservation for 9 people. I was so surprised when we were given a private room! This was perfect for our gathering. The table was set in a square so we could all engage in the conversation without struggling to hear. The variety of food was fantastic and the flavor was delicious. When one of the women received her lasagna, it was not hot. We waited for our server to come back to check on us...when that did not happen we went to her and told her the lasagna was not hot. She apologized and brought out a new plate of piping hot delicious lasagna. We were even allowed to have seperate checks!
Our experience was wonderful and just perfect for a pre-shoe dinner.
The bar was hopping with a corporate mixer...super high noise level. Once we arrived, we were shown to our table. as we walked through the din, we all hoped this was not where we were going to have dinner as we had planned a "getting to know you" dinner with a friend's date. Amazingly, we were shown to a small dining room adjacent to the bar. There were five 4-top tables and you could speak in normal tones. Whew! We ordered a nice bottle of Malbec, enjoyed the bread, EVOO and Parmesan while we waited for food. The calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked. we each ordered a different pasta dish and all were excellent. We also ordered two desserts and both were amazing. We would return.
The hostess was so nice!! I would come back just to see her.
I've been here multiple times. Service is always prompt and good. Food is fresh and delicious! Never disappointed!
Colleague arrived early and was seated. When I arrived they knew that and took me to the correct table. Good bread and olive oil with cheese on the table. Attentive but not overbearing service. Let us sit a long time and talk.
Like the food, like the location and like the staff. Very reliable! Thanks
Pazzo's is a place close to the Opera House and train station that is open for dinner in an area without many choices. The food is good, the pizzas and salads are the best thing on the menu. It can get crowded but you can usually walk in and get a table.
This is the perfect place for lunch or an early pre-theater dinner. Food is always good at reasonable prices. Have never had a bad meal at Pazzo's
Enjoyed lunch on a nice summer day. Many were enjoying the outside patio but we chose inside. Great and attentive service and very good food. Would recommend as a nice spot in the west loop
The staff were nice and attentive and the menu and drinks list were interesting, but our food was a bit delayed and both dishes turned out to be over-cooked, at a time when the place was not particularly busy. The coffee was also cold.
My friends and I love Pazzo....welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff & wonderful food...a great before theater or opera dining option.
Is it just me? I am never really satisfied with whatever I order here. I switch it up every time and take suggestions from others but I'm still left disappointed. I just don't think the food is that great.
We were staying in a hotel nearby and was looking for a good place to eat that wasn't too far and we found it. Calamari was cooked perfectly, seafood pasta was excellent as well as the southwest steak salad.
Pazzos is directly across the street from my job, so I initially chose rhem because of convenience. I've been several times because the service is good and so is the food. Happy hour is nice as well. Would definitely recommend and will always go back!
Horrible service, smells like fish cheap fish inside, food wasn't that great. There are better choices around!
