This new branch of Coco Pazzo is excellent! The only reason it wasn't mobbed before the opera last Saturday night must be that it is not yet well known. We were delayed because Othello at Navy Pier ran long, but I called ahead and was accommodated easily and cheerfully. The waiter was excellent, recommending an excellent pinot grigio from Venice to go with my sauteed sea scallops, which were perfect in a wine cream sauce. My companion had the fusilli with Italian sausage, which he loved. While I had no dessert, he enjoyed the chocolate fudge cake. Even though we had been late, arriving after 6:15 for a 7:30 opera across the street, we were there in plenty of time. We will be sure to return.
