Pazzo Pazzo - Closed for Renovations Ratings and Reviews
One of the worst places you can go in Morristown. Its an old disgusting place that's been there forever and is never cleaned, painted, or changed one thing. I would hate to see the kitchen. On this particular night this past weekend, we decided to go as a last minute thing. A terrible situation took place. We sat at the bar and were the only people at the bar, the bartender stayed at the other end and never came over, after 10 minutes of not even acknowledging us I had to ask the hostess to get her. She came over with a major attitude and finally took the drink order but again 10 minutes until she came back with them. We reluctantly ordered dinner at the bar. Now a second couple came and sat at the end of the bar near us and experienced the same thing, the man said to me "is it just me or is she deliberately ignoring us?" we said we are having the same issue. When she finally came the man said we are customers and expect to have service and the female bartender said' We don't have enough people working here this is all I can do" and very nasty! A few minutes after a Big busboy with tattoos and short sleeves rolled up comes up the guy next to me and starts yelling at him telling him not to yell at the bartender and a fight almost starts. The gentleman at the bar told the bartender very nicely when he said he wanted service but it turns out this busboy and this girl bartender are a couple and so he was being the big shot. Fortunately the manager who was not even the manger but a bartender filling in (Not a manager on the property on a Friday night)witnessed this entire ordeal and she handled it beautifully. Her name was Samantha and she was awesome. As for the bartender and busboy and the restaurant itself, don't waste your time or money in this dirty hole in the wall. They apparently are on hard times and cant afford the proper help and are struggling.
Everytime I go here the Service is poor but it is very nice ambiance sitting outside. When the food runner brought my salad I asked for a side of dressing since they seemed to forget to bring it and he gave me attitude saying I ordered it dry, no dressing. I've never ordered a salad in my life with no dressing! The fact that he gave me attitude and then never brought me dressing bothered me. Then nobody came by to check on our food so I sat there for 15 minutes with my entree that I couldn't even eat.
Despite having a reservation and it being located across the street from a conference center, they were completely unable to handle our party of 6. Salad and pasta took over 3 hours to be served. And no, they weren't pushing the drinks. We had to ask multiple times for them as well.
It is a lovely spot, but don't go unless you're planning to hang out...for a while.
Our server was very attentive, as were the other staff members who cleared our plates and refilled our water glasses. The food, however, was good at best. My pasta special was so bland, the only taste it had was a pungent lemon taste. My husband ordered the overpriced steak special which as he put it was, "just not good". In fact, he said it had a weird taste that he couldn't describe and left almost 3/4 of it on his plate. I ordered one drink which was so watered down it tasted like absolutely nothing. Highly disappointing experience and we will most likely not be returning.
I was greeted by a very nice hostess, but my waitress hardly said a word to me. She was very unfriendly and took forever to come to my table. I often dine alone for business and this does happen to me. She took forever to bring the check and I had to go ask someone else to print out an itemized receipt for me. The atmosphere is beautiful, but what a shame about the service. When I left the hostess called good night from the bar. Won't be back.
Terrible service but excellent food. We went there to celebrate my birthday and the first thing that happened was when we got water brought to our table and we said thank you we never got accnowleged. Next we never were given drink menus but when we ended up getting our drinks the waitress spilled one of the drinks all over the table, on my friends dress and on her phone. The waitress never even asked to help her clean it up! After a few minutes goes by she doesn't come back so my mom complains to the manager so we ended up getting a free drink. When we got out food she never came over to ask how we were doing. Lastly our bill was around $225 and we paid in cash and she asked if we needed change back and we said yes. The waitress came back and when we looked in the bill there was only $30 in there. She ended up trying to pocket her own tip without is knowing. My brother went up to her and she said she meant to give us the rest. Supposedly she was new but this is no excuse. We would definitely come back for the food but the service was terrible.
Can't recommend sorry. I was concerned about getting there 15 minutes late for my 6pm Saturday reservations but have to say that there was nobody in the place.
Several people in the outdoor seating courtyard that looks real nice. Was wondering why this place was empty and after eating I think I know why. The food was seriously lacking taste. The presentation was underwhelming. Service was pretty cold and our waitress was not too attentive. Inside area seats about 50 ppl and we were the only inside table. Beef Capricio appetizer was just OK . Bacon wrapped filet mignon was not just lacking good flavor but had an odd taste that I couldn't identify. I was starving so I'm eating whatever is there. Prices were pretty steep and my end cut of FM was pretty undersized.
Can't recommend and doubt I'll be back. If it's any consolation , the place is nicely laid out and decorated and the outdoor area looks nice. They really need to pick up the food and service quality.
Visited Pazzo Pazzo for the first time with the family and a friend from work. Food was quite acceptable but the server was very inattentive. The place was not very busy but the server just focused attention on everything but the customers. May try again and hope for better service.
Went for Valentine's Day and was very underwhelmed. Service was decent. Place was dead. Food was just okay. Nothing special at all and price point is higher than necessary.
We used to love this place, but it's not worth another visit from our point of view.
The restaurant looked kind of plain for valentine's day...maybe because it was a sunday instead of a Saturday...but it did not look like it did last year or the year before...it was more themed and done up for valentine's day the last two years. This time around, there was nothing to make it seem like it was valentine's day. Very plain.
The hostess and servers were very accommodating. We were promptly seated in the dining room which was too noisy for our group. The staff was very helpful in rearranging tables and moving us into the bar area which was much quieter. Food and drinks were good. An enjoyable time had by all.
Pazzo pazzo seems like a hip place and my fiancée and I were considering it for our rehearsal dinner . After dinning there I am not impressed , why have our guests travel to this spot when there is nothing over the top about it ? Although it was an extremely slow night for them service was very very slow . No one ever asked how are meals were and even when we hinted at it being the place we would potentially choose as the venue for our wedding rehearsal dinner it was treated as if it was not a big deal . Overall waste of money and waste of time .
It is right across the street from the movies. So, a good spot to grab a bite. However, like the rest of morris town, parking is a problem (no lot, no valet) and it is a bit of a photocopy with not the best resolution, so not quite a manhanttan italian bistro. Wait staff doesn't really know much about the menu and give the impression they are just passing the time until a better gig comes along. But the food is tasty and they handle large groups well and the prices aren't too bad -so not a bad choice.
This is an outstanding outdoor dining venue. The space is large yet intimate, separated into different areas by use of elevation, stairs, banquettes. The music is usually good, sometimes with a DJ. The bar scene can be vibrant but never out of control. The food is pretty good. Not great, not particularly inspired, but good enough. I only go when I can eat outside because the inside is loud, dark, cave-like. Overall it's a very pleasant outdoor dining experience.
Not the place to go for lunch. We reserved a table for 12 noon and they were no where near ready to serve customers. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 12, a twosome arrived at 12:30 and another small group at 1:00. It took over an hour to be served our appetizers and had to rush the waiter to get us out in 1 1/2 hours...not a workable business lunch situation. Food was very good and the waiter was doing his best.
Had a reservation for 8:30 but we were not seated until 9:00. Ok not bad. however, we proceeded to put in an order of appetizers but didn't receive them until 10:15 which then push our diner until after 11pm. Food was good but the wait was a bit over the top.
