Great birthday deal! Beautiful restaurant, great drinks, average food. The happy hour is by far the best value. The pizza and cocktails are wonderful, but the main pasta entries are average, not bad, not great. With the high price point I did expect more of an outstanding meal, but it was good. The atmosphere and staff are excellent. Very traditional American/ Italian flavors, simple but good is a good way to describe the food.
My dinner was delicious but it was difficult to find a non dairy item to eat. I would have appreciated cheaper wine options.
Our server was great.
I had octopus entre, which was outstanding. Nice portion size too. Daughter had veal. Delicious! Highly recommend.
We shared an excellent appetizer (Calamari) and then each had a great dinner. We have found Pazzaluna to be reliably good. And the wine list offers an excellent selection - you can have nice wines at a lower price or you can splurge on a more exotic choice.
We went early and were able to have Happy Hour in the bar (good value). Sat in the dining room for dinner - food was excellent as well as service. Pretty good crowd for a week night!
Great all around, except Pazzaluna is now out of business.
I had the special. Shrimp fettuccine. It was very good. Service was quick. Plenty of bread. A very enjoyable experience like I have come to expect.
Pazzaluna remains one of the best and most reliable restaurants in St. Paul. The food is always beautifully prepared, and a terrific variety for an Italian restaurant. Definitely not a "everything tastes the same" menu.
Our service this time was a little rough.... our server was clearly a bit stressed and would disappear for long periods (including before taking drink and food orders), and also made a couple of mistakes in our orders. I wouldn't say this is a normal occurrence, but it's frustrating to get your main dish 5 minutes after your salad, and 15 minutes before your bottle of wine.
I’ve been to Pazzaluna a dozen times over the years. This was the first time I was disappointed. My seafood linguini was bland with very little flavor or seasoning.
The Caesar salad barely covered the small salad plate. Parmigiana Riggiano would have been appriecated in the salad. To end? the Coke I ordered with the meal was flat. Sorry but. I call it like it was. Next Wild game We may just skip the expensive dinner just have nachos at the game I guess. I’m usually never complain but this time you should know what I thought. Good luck
We sat at the rail in front of the kitchen; fun to watch and interact with the chefs. Our server, Sara, was outstanding.
Food disappointing. Meatballs dry, unremarkable. Beet salad was unbalanced, all cheese, very little beet and the arugula was yellowed and sparse. Mushroom bruschetta was the only real treat. My boyfriend’s ravioli was ok, but the sauce was also unremarkable and scant. Overall not worth the money, you can get far better Italian cuisine in a pleasant setting for less money and less crowded and loud.
Dessert was fabulous, my meal was great. Rabbit with pasta a nice surprise.
Curtis is the best server ever. He made the dining experience perfect!
We went to Pazzaluna for dinner for a party of four. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was great and we had a wonderful time. We were seated at our reservation time. We picked this location because it was close to work for one of our party. Both the location and dinner were a success. We plan to return for more enjoyable evenings.
Service was poor and food took forever, and it wasn't even busy. Thursday night....
Curt and Rochelle where great!! There service was impeccable. The food was delicious. I was really Impressed by the pecan pie. I always love the giant-stuffed meatball. My friends love there entrees too.
We had a fantastic dinner during MN/StPaul Restaurant week with friends!
Our waitress was incredibly kind and on top of things at our table- which makes a huge impact. The food was great, thank you!
The wait staff was lovely! We had a great time trying a new restaurant. Good portions and a fun stop for restaurant week!
Service was great for Restaurant Week!
It was my birthday and Rachel our server made it all so perfect. Old friends getting together with great food, wine and ambiance. I had the sea bass, woke up dreaming about it later! Pazzaluna is in a great location and has the perfect mood! be sure and sign up for the birthday special on the website!
Perfect like always.
Food was delicious, good variety. We went for restaurant week but will definitely be going back. Chicken Piccata was excellent
Awesome! Get service with great friends!
Arrived at our 7:30 reservation time & was told they had to “seat 4 groups ahead of us. Wait is 5-10 minutes”. They suggested we wait in the bar. 20 minutes later when I checked on our table they told me “we texted you 15 minutes ago”. Nono one told me they’d text me & I left my phone in my car. Upon leaving I gave the valet my ticket. “$18”. I waited 15 minutes AFTER I paid him...no car. When we asked him where our car was he said I never gave him the ticket. Somehow they found my car. A bit disjointed. Typically you don’t ask someone for money until the service is rendered. Food was good! Our waitress Emmerlee was nice & told us about the free bottle of wine with a birthday.
Wonderful experience! I have always been there for happy hour but never dinner. The food was amazing and our service was outstanding. Thank you very much, we cannot wait to go back!
Wonderful venue for a celebration or special occasion!
Very nice place to go for good food for special occasions.
Excellent food and service. Best scallops I’ve ever had!
Always great food and wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Our birthday go to spot. Free wine and free dessert, can’t be beat.
Amazing experience all around!! Cannoloni was to die for!!
This is a favorite place for special occasions for my wife and I, our most recent visit was her birthday, and the birthday club gives you a bottle of wine and dessert. The food was really good, especially the gnocchi and stuffed cannelloni, and the service was excellent.
We enjoyed the meal and ambience. They were slammed with the Valentine's weekend, a Wild hockey game and Ordway event. All hands were busy trying to keep up with the food and drinks. It took a little longer because of the aforementioned. I will continue to visit. Yum
We were seated by front door on a cold evening so were chilly the entire time, plus we got to listen to the hostess shouting out names of parties for seating in a shrill voice. We ordered the prix fixe Valentine's dinner with wine pairings and server mixed up first two wines which we drank with wrong courses. She also didn't seem to know about timing the meal and kept asking if we were ready for her to order next course. Food was otherwise good and reasonably priced, but service and seating location made this a lot less enjoyable than we usually experience at Pazzaluna.
good food. good service. wait staff seemed a little overworked but it was understandable for valentines day and they still did a great job
Overall, it was another great experience for dinner. The food was great and the ambiance was nice. The service was very good.
The service was great! We weren’t waiting around for service or refills. But also didn’t feel rushed! The food was amazing! I especially loved the house bread and our crab cakes! We also ordered the apple crisp dessert with gelato and it was great
Had a great meal, the food was amazing as always. The staff was very patient with our 8 year old daughter. The group of 6-7 next to us was a bit rowdy but it was still a fun evening.
We went on Valentine's Day which isn't the best day to judge noise level, but it still wasn't obnoxiously loud. Our first time there, the space was larger than we expected, yet still somewhat cozy without being dated. The staff handled the crowd well. Service was good, a little too quick at first. We chose the specials with wine parings and enjoyed all but one, which was still quite good (sirloin was a little too peppery). I want to return on a more "normal" evening to explore their large menu.
