Food was WONDERFUL! Service, impeccable :)
Nice menu for Restaurant Week. Food was good and the service great
Pazzaluna is a favorite and came through again. We love the place for special occasions when price isn't a factor. The quality of the food is always good and service was excellent. I had Papardelle Bolognese and she had Chicken Parmesan. We both ordered and loved the Squash soup. Very thick and tasty. The chocolate lava cake with gelato made a nice dessert to split. We both also enjoyed the side of asparagus with Parmesan. Just the perfect texture not mushy or too crisp.
We're going to return again.
Our party of five were at Pazzaluna for a special occasion. Our food and service was great. The only real negative was the noise level. It was hard to hear the person sitting to me.
We received an anniversary offer from the restaurant; when we arrived, the wait staff and manager said "we don't do that" and our service went downhill from there. Why would a restaurant send a special occasion offer they do not intend to honor; we were made to feel like we were trying to cheat the restaurant; it ruined our anniversary dinner. Food was okay, but the service/management situation was not.
We were seated promptly at 5. Received our water and told the name of our waitperson who we did not see for 20 minutes. We thought they were busy seating patrons so excused this delay. But the delay happened after every course. We were seated at 5 and received our bill at 6:50. This was a little excessive. However the food was wonderful.
My Wife and I brought our mothers and my sister to dine after a show at the Ordway. We enjoyed wine and cocktails in the bar, as we were early for our dinner reservation. The only negative of the entire evening, was that the bar was out of Drambuie for my favorite cocktail. The ambiance was good, the food was fabulous, and our servers were attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning.
We enjoyed our second "Engagement Dinner" experience this past weekend. Both occasions were exceptional in service, ambiance and menu selection. Pazzaluna is an memorable "Special Occasion" restaurant!
Have to say I was a little disappointed in the food. The risotto with the Chicken Piccata was gummy, the lemon butter sauce was thick as pudding and not very appealing. The servers were a bit too busy, didn't tell us about the specials, drinks took a while, probably won't be back, too bad, loved the atmosphere.
The salad was incredibly disappointing. It had wilted lettuce. The chicken I had was mediocre at best. Not worth a 70$ tab for 2 people
Ambiance is fantastic, tables offer plenty of breathing room and the overall space is interesting. Notably, lighting is fantastic.
During my visit service was awful. We had a reservation for 8:30 and showed up at 8:05, they told us they'd have a table for us within minutes. By 8:45 we still had no text and had to talk to the hostess again. We were brought to a table in the far rear of the restaurant with no apology. Our waitress had a good attitude but it took nearly ten minutes to get our check.
Food was good but not worth the cost especially taking into account the poor service. I can't recommend Pazzaluna for anything beyond the location itself.
Fantastic place to go out on a nice date. Food was great, the atmusfear was great!
On a previous visit, the food was spectacular, the best Italian food ever. This last visit was only very good, on par with other high-end Italian restaurant. I will have to try it one more time to see which one was the fluke.
One best and most consistent restaurants in the Twin Cities. Superior service. Curtis is a true professional.
The service was excellent, the food outstanding. Everything you want for a date night.
Everything was great, only downside was we were there for a business meal and right by the kitchen so it was rather loud.
it was great! highly recommend the pecan pie!!
We went to Pazzaluna for Valentine's Day--my husband loves Italian food. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The food was very good and we had a wonderful bottle of wine. There were specials for Valentine's Day, but we ordered off the menu. The only problem was that I ate too much! But that's not their fault! We'd definitely go again.
I have eaten here several times, mostly for date nights with hubby, but recently for pre-Valentine's dinner with our family of 4, including two school-age sons.
The atmosphere and service are always excellent. Dining here always feels like something special. The food is consistently very good to excellent with creative takes on Italian standards.
Very worthwhile fine-dining experience.
Very awesome staff and food.
Not a good experience.
Negatives: Our reservation was not held, we had to wait and were given a table by the door with constant cold air blasts from the outside. Hostesses (all 4!?) were rude. Our water and bread server threw the plate on our table rather than place. Our entrees were cold, salty, and not much flavor. Chain resturaunt do better than this. Rude awakening on gift card - we had 3 and were informed we could only use 1. This wasn’t told to us during purchase of said gift cards.proces were outrageous for the quality ($30 and up!)
Positives: one of our wines was nice, our waitress was pleasant.
Total disappointment. Five people crammed into a booth near a loud kitchen. Food was marginal at best. I've never had al dente ravioli - pasta was dry and edges were over-baked. Chicken Piccata included several tiny medallions swimming in white cream sauce. Good sauce but overkill and barely any meat. The opposite held true for the spaghetti and meatballs. Beef tasted livery and there was no gravy consistency to the sauce - just chopped chunks of tomato that seemed to come from a can. The best part of the meal was the wine, the bread, the crème brulee, and our server. Won't go back.
Service was good, but we were all very disappointed with our food. The pasta was starchy and dry. The sauce could hardly moisten the pasta enough to separate it. I was surprised that the tomatoes looked like they were from a can. I expected fresh.
I’ve had better Italian at Chianti Grill
Food was mediocre at best. Chicken Piccata has 3 tiny pieces of chicken over a blob of risotto and was not hot. The pizza margarita had very little cheese on it and the bottom of the pie was burned.
Great food and environment. The service was fantastic and we didn't feel rushed despite the restaurant being full.
Nice place, we liked the food but the service was not very impressive.
Pazzaluna never disappoints. It was a great evening of great food and outstanding service. Our server, Rose, was efficient, congenial and fun. She was terrific!!!
The restaurant was much too noisy which was disappointing as we were taking friends to dinner to celebrate a retirement and it was difficult to hear over the loud voices of other guests. The meal was delicious, but we didn't linger long askkk
I had some VIPs come into town wanting excellent Italian food. Pazzaluna did not disappoint. They made a point to tell me about their experience. Thank you for making me look great!
Good bread, nice variety in the menu. A few items we ordered were not cooked as they should have been (pizza a little burnt, lasagna burnt a bit on the outside of the crock, brussel sprouts not seared well in the brussel sprout and beer hash side item). However, food was generally very flavorful otherwise. Desserts (bananas foster cheesecake and chocolate gelato) were excellent.
