Pazzaluna Urban Italian Restaurant & Bar
The award-winning and critically acclaimed Bar at Pazzaluna Urban Italian is an energetic and fun place to meet after work, before an event at the Ordway, Xcel Energy Center, Roy Wilkins Auditorium or just to unwind with family, friends, clients or business associates.
During warm weather, relax on the patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown St. Paul (patio open May through September). See for yourself, you'll be glad you did.
Very delicious food and friendly waitress
Yum! The SPAGHETTI CARBONARA was the best.
Curtis our server was great very warm, knowledgeable about all the food items. He made some great suggestions. Atmosphere was very nice and inviting. Entrees were well prepared and well priced.
Aside from an overdressed mixed salad, the food was delicious. Service was pleasant and efficient.
A great night, delicious food, fabulous service, and a personalized bottle of wine on your birthday! We will be back!
Great service, pre-concert and with kids. Food was tasty and came out timely.
I very much loved our meal, I got mushrooms and asparagus, my daughter got spaghetti and meatballs- huge portions! Great service. We will return.
I had never been to this restaurant before but I went with my parents and boyfriend and was excited for Italian food. I ordered the carbonara and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. They took it off the bill and offered something else so I got the gnocchi which was also unappetizing. The desserts were average. I have no intention of going back, very disappointed.
For an upscale St. Paul restaurant, I noticed that the two young women that were the hostesses, were dressed very casual. As "First Impressions" scuffed boots, and casual pants and a top is not what I expect. My husband agreed with me.
I'd like to suggest that there should be somewhat of a dress code for this position.
Ladies, put your best foot forward and maybe add some jewelry and lipstick too.
It is always a great place to dine
Food was good, Server was good. The greeter at the door seemed like we were a bother when we walked in. Gave a poor impression.
Great place to celebrate my wife's birthday!!! ThanKYou!
The food was uninspired. The menu needs an update and chefs who want to impress or at least care. Had to send back one entree as it was not hot enough. Can’t keep this restaurant on my list any longer
AWESOME EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning sometime soon.
The food was quite good as usual but the service was surprisingly poor. There was a mistake at every interaction:
Cocktail dropped & shattered - never replaced
Appetizer order missing one part - later provided
Salad almost tossed on to the table so that croutons bounced around the table
Entree - served one of the 2, a couple minutes later served the 2Nd order but it was missing a main ingredient
About 15-20 minutes later it was redone and served along with another order for the first person but by then we weren’t actually hungry any more
All the while we were served orders meant for other people ( twice)
We received a gracious apology from the floor supervisor but no real adjustment in the bill, which I did expect after the circus experience
We’ll probably go back since it’s never happened before but not for awhile
We love Pazzaluna and always look forward to the food, wine and atmosphere. It's one of our 'go to' places.
It’s a bit more expensive than other places you could go but is worth every penny. Food and service never fails!
What an amazing dinner. I made reservations for supper before the Jennifer Lopez concert. We had great valet service and restaurant service. We had a wine glass spill and would have liked to have the cloth replaced but we put the cloth napkins over it instead.
Overall, I would definitely go back!
We came to dinner before the JLO concert at the Xcel Energy Center. The food and service was amazing. I had the Salmon and it was delicious.
Always a treat. Excellent food, great service. One of my favorite places to dine or have a cocktail before an event.
We had a wonderful experience. Three of us ordered the veal and loved every bite of it. We shared a couple of desserts and found the creme brûlée fantastic. Our server was friendly, efficient and informed.
Excellent dinner. Birthday celebration complete with personalized bottle of wine and dessert. All delicious.
Ate here before a show at the Ordway with our two sons. They were great with timing to make sure we were done in time. Food was very good and menu has lots of selections that work for kids with pizza and pasta but great stuff for adults too. I had angel hair pasta in the style of capri with shrimp which was wonderful. My husband liked his steak although wishes it had a vegetable too and not just meat and potato puree. The kids liked their pasta and pizza. The salads were good and one son got a cheese antipasto that he really liked. The bread was delicious.
Perfect spot before a concert at Xcel. We were able to valet park for the entire evening, which was a huge help. The service was good, and our meal came out quickly so we had no problem getting to our event in time. The food was great - everyone liked what they had. Enjoyed speaking to the manager after the show as well. Great experience all around.
The food was good but service was lacking. We did not see a waiter for the first 20 minutes after we sat down, then it took another 10 minutes to get a glass of wine. Also, we were heading to a concert and had to wait 15 minutes to get the bill so we could leave- which ultimately made us late even though our waiter knew we had to go by a certain time.
Since 2002 we have been celebrating our anniversaries and birthdays here and the entrees and service never disappoint!! Excellent dining and always very professional service, time after time! (Although this time they could have used a more mature/polished and experienced host at the reception desk.) Overall, we had a fabulous time and look forward to many more opportunities to dine here.
Excellent service! Great food!
This was our first time at Pazzaluna. Due to traffic and rain we would be 30 minutes late for our reservation time. We called with our ETA and asked if we should come based upon the time change. They said yes! Yay! We arrived late as expected, received excellent service every step of the way beginning with the valet and on to every person we encountered in our time there. The food was prompt, hot and delicious. We were able to get to the concert with plenty of time. We will definitely be back and enjoy our experience and linger a little longer :)
Pazzaluna is our go-to restaurant when we need a good meal before seeing a show at the Ordway. Great drink selections, decent vegetarian options, and wonderful service. We already have our reservations set for next time.
This is by far the best Italian food i've ever had. My brother brought me here over 10 years ago and it was excellent then and it brought me right back to then with the delicious meal we had. Highly recommend Pazzaluna!!
Sat at table 40 on Sat night and our server was terrible. The duck was small portions for the price plus the meat was very fatty.
You have GOT to spend you birthday here - bottle of wine and dessert is on the house. The food, as always was perfect. The waitstaff are really nice -it's like you're eating at your Italian grandmothers house.
We went for my 15 year olds golden birthday dinner. Our service was not good. Food was just ok. We were never offered parmesan with our meals yet watched other wait staff adding it to their tables. It took too long to clear our appetizer plates. They knew it was a birthday celebration. My son sat and watched other tables getting a dessert with candle. We were never offered one.
Awesome food and service was great! Short wait time and offered us take home service!
It was very good. I didn't like the Sea Bass with Orzo. They gave me a different dish and provided full credit. They made up in service for the food in my humble opinion.
Great food, wonderful service. However, the baseball caps that patrons are allowed to wear during dinner detract from the ambiance. They need a dress code, i.e., no baseball caps.
Always great service and ambiance but my husband’s chicken parmigiana was tough and dry. The gnocchi was very good though.
It was a great location and ambiance to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only downside was that my pasta dish should have been warmer.
We had 7 people in our party and al had different meals. All fabulous! Bread and olive oil, so fresh. Yum!
Drinks were outstanding as well! Highly recommend this establishment.
