Pavilion Grille Ratings and Reviews
This was a very entertaining evening.Arrived at 7PM, a little earlier that we usually dine, but the only reservation we could get before 8:30. There were very few diners at that time, but it was packed by 8 PM! A very diverse, well-heeled crowd ranging from the late 20's to the late 80's. Mostly, 50 - 75 years old is my best guess. Some really good dancers, think Dancing with the Stars and many dancers who were simply out for a good time. Appeared to be many singles who love to dance. Would definitely return for another fun evening. Wednesday night is ballroom dancing nite - they enlarge the dance floor to give the dancers the space they need for ballroom dancing!
Looked way better/nicer in pictures. We were 2 families with 5 kids. We had an early reservation, and we had to pay $10 each cover charge just to sit down (in an empty restaurant on a Tuesday at 6 pm). We got the money back after spending $20 each, but it was still a dumb thing to even charge us. Food was really overpriced for what it was. The manager asked our kids to "clear the dance floor" because there was a live performance starting. 30 minutes later that actually happened. I'm sure this is a good spot for some, but def not for us!
We sat at a table near the dance floor to eat and dance to a wonderful band (Cachet). I can't rate other parts of the review ratings (lunch, brunch, scenic kid-friendly), since we weren't in the main dining room. However, we had a good dinner and a wonderful evening. We certainly plan on returning.
Perhaps I should have paid closer attention to details of reviews, but the dining experience at Pavilion Grille which not at all what I expected.
The crowd appeared to be a "regular, more elderly, and local, Friday night crowd," with a variety of handshakes/high fives before and after dancing to a (not very good, three vocalists, with recorded back-up for instruments) "live band."
In terms of service, perhaps it was intentional and nature of the venue (there to listen to music), but we spent almost two and a half hours at the Grille for dinner. During each event we had to find someone to track down our waitress for: initial drink order (waitress: "since no one has waited on you yet, I guess I'll do it"), appetizer order, entrée order, and check (approx. 20 to 45 minutes between each).
My daughter's food, when finally delivered, was room temperature; the Restaurant did return the plate to the kitchen for a replacement (which was satisfactory).
My dinner (grilled fish) was "ok," still tender, not overcooked and dried out, but a bit bland, even though crusted with some type(s) of spices (couldn't really tell what they were).
Finally, when the roving Manager asked us "did you enjoy your dinner," and we responded with "it was ok, but the service was slow, and food was not delivered at the appropriate temperature," the Manager offered "a drink or a dessert on us," with a not very convincing apology.
We called before reserving as we had never been. Christina was very helpful and helping us book a table . We loved the location of the table and the dance vibe was exactly what we were looking for. The pavilion is pretty with nice ambience. The service was friendly and very good, Christina was our server. We did not like the food. We will be back to dance and enjoy some cocktails. The dance floor was a good size and accommodated nicely the amount of dancers. The crowd was pleasant and mostly around the 50 and up age bracket...The music was fun and professional.
We went for lunch a couple weeks ago. We were the only customers. But no tables were set with anything, they were all perfectly blank tops as if they didn’t even expect anybody, even though I had a reservation on their book. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked but service was imaginary. The restaurant is in the atrium of an office building and is really some kind of “night club”, with a dance floor and a DJ setup. I presume dinner would be altogether different.
We went here for Mother's Day Brunch because it was one of the only places that still had availability a couple of weeks before, took reservations (how can restaurants not take Mother's Day reservations?), and looked like it had good food (brunch style!). The atmosphere is NOT intimate as the restaurant is located in the middle of an office complex (so think big, open and airy). They had a live singer, which is awesome, but the music selection was poor...elevator muzak at best. There is a large bar in the middle, which I'm sure gets hopping at night. The buffet had lots to choose from, including both breakfast and heavier lunch items. None of the food blew me away, but it wasn't bad either. Attention by the service staff was amazing at first...always refilling my mimosa before it even reached the bottom, but then it slacked off. The worst part was we waited at least 20 min for the check, clearly no food on our plates and our waitress was no where to be seen. We had to go up to the hostess to ask for the check. The waitress finally brought it to us and did not even apologize for the wait. Then we had to go back to the hostess to give her our card because our waitress wasn't around to take our money! They also automatically include gratuity, which is bad because we can't "punish" our waitress for the poor service. We did talk to the manager, though. Definitely NOT WORTH the $300 I spent for 5 people. I could have provided a better breakfast experience for my mom on my own.
Pavilion Grille never disappoints. The service is wonderful, everyone is attentive, the food is yummy. They have a fabulous dance floor, where you can dance the night away if you so desire, or just sit at your table and enjoy the music. The variety of bands gives everyone, young to old, an opportunity to enjoy their favorite sounds. This is one of those hidden gems, hidden within an office building and until you walk in, you'd never know there was this fantastic place, filled with energy, vibrance and the opportunity to create many good times and memories again and again.
We were there for a special group get-together. The food was great as always. The place was packed with people dancing. Large dance floor. The band Fusion, was wonderful. People were really enjoying themselves. It was inside a office bldg. so you don't really know that it is there, but once you go inside, it's a totally difference experience. Very fun.
A dining pleasure-delicious food-wonderful wait staff and management. Cedar Plank Salmon & The Asian Salmon Salad are my favorite. Every night is different super entertainment for dancing and listening pleasure of all varieties.
I especially loved the Almost Manilow Show on August 9th. He sang most of the night had several costumes like Las Vegas was in Boca. Charlie Vee was fabulous. His voice sounds like the real Barry Manilow and he stayed late to greet fans and take photos. A primo talent and will return October 18th with a medley of Neil Sedaka & Neil Diamond.
The Pavilion Grille is easy to find-Corner of Yamato Rd. & Dixie Hwy. in the Stonegate Build., ground floor level.
What a Place! The Pavilion Grille. Really Extraordinary.
On a weekday we opted to eating in their small enclosed grill room. Very quiet as opposed to high octane outside. The lamb shank was huge--at least 20+oz. and fall off the bone. The salmon was also excellent--cooked rare as my wife asked for. Do not look for fine wines here.
Very difficult to find. Maybe a sign on Yamata would be helpful. Also, why was the entertainment terminated early. I came from Naples for the show and was very disappointed that it was cut short for piped in music. The venue was attractive and the noise level was no more than expected with the number of people in the restaurant. This was my first time at Pavilion Grille and was not impressed due to the difficulty in finding it and the disappointing experience with the shortened LIVE entertainment. At this time I would not recommend Pavilion Grille. If you correct the problems I noted I may change my mind.
We walked in to the Pavillion Grille and the music was incredibly loud! The restaurant is located in a building atrium, and the sound magnifies in the space. We paid our cover charge and were shown to a table and given menus. We then proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. After about 15 minutes, a server went by, and said, "I'll be with you in a minute.", but seemed very disinterested in us. We waited a few minutes more, and decided to leave. On the plus side, our cover charge was refunded without problem.
This appears to be set up more for dancing and drinks than for dinner, although the menu was quite extensive. It also caters to an older crowd.
