Paul's Homewood Cafe
Great pre-theatre dinner with friends. Service was great, attentive and mindful of our show time. The food is always consistently good but this time the grape leaves were a little on the dry side. That won’t stop us returning - Paul’s is our “go to” neighbored cafe for dine dining.
Best Greek food in Annapolis. My wife always picks the Meze plate. Had the fresh halibut with lemon caper sauce. cooked to perfection. Beautiful. Highly recommend.
Excellent as usual.
Paul’s Homewood remains a constant in Annapolis for those of us who have enjoyed dining there for decades - the service, ambiance, value, presentation and - most of all - quality of the menu items are tiptop and a home away from home for the local - if not the tourist - community. Anna and her family continue to welcome us like old friends, despite the only periodic visits 4-5 times a year for lunch and dinner. While those family members who used to wait table have occasional other responsibilities these day the training for new staff should be a model of all Annapolis restaurants - servers are professional always have a smile and know the menu well. Yes, of course, we’ll return again and again.....hopefully, enabled to return more often!!
Always a warm, casual environment to enjoy a family dinner!
I wish they could do something to suppress the sound.
We attended concert at Maryland Hall and Paul’s Cafe is a great place for dinner.
One of the best local restaurants.
I usually do not give an opinion or even complete a survey for anything. Paul’s is so good I could not resist. The staff was excellent. Attentive enough to ensure you have a great meal, but not intrusive. I was solo and the waiter, Rick was gracious enough to engage in small talk and to enjoy my acerbic sense of humor.
It is the kind of small, local restaurants that you are immediately comfortable in and you wish it was seven blocks from where you live. A quiet, somewhat sophisticated clientele was appreciated.
The meal was delicious. I had the grilled sea bass with only infused olive oil and lemon juice. God, I love Greek cooking. Honestly, one of the best fish I have ever eaten and I am from Florida, so I know fish. A more than adequate wine selection is available.
I cannot wait to return.
If you are a European or an American who enjoys the flavor of the life you MUST eat there! It is like a fusion best food from Greece and USA. Definitely The best option in Annapolis.
Great experience, this was my first visit but not my last
Great local venue with good service and like the mediterranean menu.
We went there Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary and brought along two friends who had never dined there and they were so impressed with the outstanding service by Frank, the delicious cuisine ( we always order their “ specials”) and the overall great and neighborhood friendly dining experience. We will certainly come back many more times and our friends will too!
Rich and Fran Becker
Paul's has the best crabcakes in town! Their food quality is always exceptional and the service is outstanding!
We had a "thank goodness it's Friday dinner" at Paul's cafe and it was fabulous, as usual!
Always very consistent. Great food and amazing people/staff!
Great food. Great service! Food was flavorful, however Greek specialties could have had more of the delicious spices that are highlighted in Greek cuisine. Flavors were mild, but delicious.
Frank is the best!! He always remembers our drink orders..
Great service as usual. Amazing good value for fine food
The only thing I would like to see is a captain wine list, there is a great value with the current list that I would not change
This was only the second time I was at Paul's for brunch but have eaten lunch and dinner there many times over the years. Service and food are always reliably good. Brunch offered a nice selection of classic dishes plus some with Paul's signature Greek cuisine such as Greek eggs and lamb. Plus, the restaurant offered a free mimosa at brunch! Paul's has a comfortable neighborhood feel and offers good value for the money.
I found this restaurant by chance, having done a search on OpenTable ... The menu looked promising and I was in the mood for a quick drive to Annapolis ... The staff was very friendly ... The food was delicious ... The atmosphere was very nice ...
Perfect. Lovely place. Lovely staff. Excellent food and service. We all had fish. Salad. Hummus plate with pita. Great bottle of wine and very reasonable pricing!!
A tasty and and enjoyable Father’s Day lunch
We decided to have a small Fathers Day Brunch at the last minute. As Paul’s Homewood was a recommended restaurant, we reserved a table. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown our table. Paul’s lived up to its reputation. The meal was delicious, our server amiable, and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely return.
Great food, friendly staff, nice place. Highly recommend.
Location is perfect, not too far downtown and don't have to fight traffic. Lot parking. Hostess was great and very accommodating. I had the Chesapeake Benedict from the brunch menu and it was perfect! we couldn't choose so we shared french toast on the table. Also delish! The bloody Mary's were very tasty and they made their mix from scratch. Definitely a must try! I will be back:)
Our dinner was a special occasion to celebrate Father’s Day early and we all had a great time. Our server was attentive but not intrusive throughout our dining experience . We couldn’t have asked for better service. We had a great table and everyone enjoyed their food. Would certainly recommend this restaurant to others and will return!
Brunch at Paul's Homewood Cafe is always a relaxed, no rush experience. The menu selection spans traditional breakfast and interesting luncheon/dinner items. And there are choices for the kids as well. The meals are plentiful and reasonably priced.
Great dining place. Food was excellent and the service great. Our first visit. We'll be back again.
Broad variety to choose from. Everyone said they enjoyed their meal and declared them delicious, including the rolls. Our server was very attentive. I am looking forward to going again soon.
My husbands birthday...our server took great care of us and paced the meal very well. She offered taste of wine before we decided to buy the bottle. Kitchen accommodated request to leave out an ingredient. Seafood appetizer was excellent and the branzino special was very good. All in all a great evening!
We ate here last week. We both enjoyed our dinners. I had the blackened Ahi Tuna salad which was cooked exactly as ordered - medium. Just the right amount of blackening seasoning. My husband order the sautéed seafood platter which consisted of scallops, stuffed shrimp and a crab cake. He pronounced it to be perfect...a compliment he rarely uses. Service was very good. Always glad to return to one of our favorite restaurants in Annapolis!
Our first visit but it won’t be our last. Enjoyed great service and great food. Not in a place where it is obvious, so make the effort and enjoy a great meal!
I have been to Paul's many times. Despite a busy time of the evening on a Thursday, the service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Paul's Homewood Cafe was fantastic. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was excellent. We where for brunch. My husband has the softshell crab with eggs benedict. I tried some of his softshell crab and it was the best I have ever had. I had the same dish, only with crab cakes, which was also delicious. Our friend ordered the lamb. That was preferred perfectly, although I would have like a bit more of the Greek flavoring. We also had the lemon orzo chicken soup. I wish I had some now! Their desserts are made at the restaurant. Their peanut butter mouse pie with the chocolate crust was silky and scrumptious! We are definitely going back very soon!
We always love going to Paul's. Service is always great, as is the food.
Steak Diane was delicious but the soft shell crab dish...not so much.
