Paul's Homewood Cafe
Wonderful food, varied menu, also some traditional Greek specialties.
Always a pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. Aa favorite of mine to take out of town guests.
Waiter was informative, entertaining and very efficient. Food was delicious
Three friends and I very much enjoyed our evening at Paul's. The service was excellent, and all of our entrees were scrumptious. Two of us had the Chicken Marsala and it was delicious; very tender and favorable.
Our entire experience was well above par. The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Since these are the key attributes that most people care about when they dine out, Paul's deserves high marks. The decor, while not elegant, is very appropriate for an upscale cafe/pub - relatively simple, casual, and clean. We will definitely come here again...and probably again after that.
Paul's is always reliable. The halibut was excellent.
The chicken soup with orzo and lemon was wonderful and the steak Diane was the best I’ve had. I will be back to try some of the Greek dishes.
This was an awesome find. Would definitely go back.
Great food at a great price. Greek entrees were awesome!
Paul’s is our favorite restaurant in Annapolis. The food is consistently delicious especially the Greek fare. Thank you to the Mariott family for making this neighborhood gem such a special place to dine.
The food and drinks were fantastic. The service was spectacular and this is a charming yet hidden gem in Annapolis. Homewood is downtown yet just a block or two outside of the downtown mayhem, making Paul’s the perfect venue for a wonderful date night. The Homewood neighborhood is the new attractive area of Annapolis, and Paul’s is its long time anchor. I offer my strongest possible recommendation for dining at Paul’s.
We were celebrating our anniversary - 53 years. Paul's is our go to for special occasions. The salmon chipotle and veal marsala were excellent, the service friendly and effecient, the atmosphere intimate and tasteful. Paul's never disappoints.
Paul’s has the recipe for a great experience. Easy parking, helpful staff, knowledgeable server and delicious food. Been here before and will be there again.
An out of the way place primarily for a loyal local crowd. Thought the Greek selections were very good, as were the entree salads. Our waiter was very good also. Ambiance was ok, nothing extraordinary. They could use some new menus, covers, etc. pretty beat up. Still, it’s worth a trip back from Columbia ( no Greek eateries there ).
This time the restaurant had some very loud guests and we actually thought of asking to be moved or leaving as the purpose of our meal was to catch up with each other and talking was a strain. They left shortly afterwards.
One of our foursome said nothing until later but found her food do be dry and not hot enough..
An unusual evening at this restaurant for us.
They are deceptively large. Looks small but they have a lot of tables. Very Greek with a few American dishes (e.g. Burgers). Seafood sampler was excellent as was the Steak Diane. Lamb chops were good but my wife just likes a different style (think Burnt) ;-) Nice wine selection, including half bottles. Overall very nice at a moderate price ($104 for the two of us). We'll be back.
We frequent Paul’s at least 1-2 times per month. There’s a nice variety of food Greek, American, and fresh seafood. You can eat fairly inexpensively or get a more expensive selection that is delicious, but at least $5 less than other restaurants. There specials are always great choices. We love their seafood! I love their Meze platters, salads, and pitabilities. I had their steak salad on this occasion. It had a large sliced skirt steak on it. I noticed a new seasoning included on the steak beyond it’s usual salt pepper an garlic. Was not a seasoning that I liked, but I still enjoyed the meal. Something you will notice is that you will receive the food cooked to the temperature you request. The staff is friendly. The owners are present and take care to make sure the restaurant is well run.
Paul’s is our go to place and especially when we are catching up with out of town friends. Relaxed atmosphere, good service, wonderful food...
We enjoyed our dining at Pauls. The noise level was quite high and thus not as easy to converse as we would have liked. The food is quite good and that is what keeps us coming back.
Celebration after a major business event. Food and service great but noise level on front room precluded casual conversation
We had dinner on a Tuesday so it was not crowded nor did we feel at all rushed. Very friendly staff, great food and choices on the menu. We have eaten here many times before and that’s why we come back. If you don’t know where it is it’s easy to miss the driveway!
We had a fine time Enjoyed the food and the ambiance, Our waiter, can't remember his name, was outstanding. Our guests remarked that it had been a long time since they had such a good waiter!
Chicken parm was deep fried. Dry!
We has a wonderful Mother's Day brunch. My mother-in-law had Greek eggs with lamb chops, which she said were "just right." My wife had smoked salmon Benedict- I tried a bit and it was yummy. My son and I had crabcake Benedicts, which are the perfect Bay-country elegant comfort breakfast. The decor is pleasent without being obtrusive. The noise level made for comfortable conversation. Our server was attentive, professional, and pleasant. Paul's is going to be one of our main places for special occasions from now on.
We were pleased with our dinners & the service was on spot.
Excellent service from hostess, server and server’s assistant. Good was great as always. Had grilled halloumi, scallops, clams casino and salads. Great time and plenty of parking.
Had a wonderful dinner. Rick, our server, was very nice, knowledgable and attentive. Food was excellent. Best Caesar Salad I can remember. The wine was perfect w/ our meal. Go to DC to dine a lot & Paul's equals and even surpasses.
Always a favorite.
Food was great. Service impeccable. A good time was had by all.
Great food and service! What more is there to say?
We had a very lovely time. The food and the service was excellent. Not very fancy but nice enough for a pleasant evening with friends. Our waiter was very attentive, professional and courteous. Will definitely come back for both lunch and dinner.
I went there with a friend for Sunday brunch. They gave us complimentary mimosas and we're super nice! I'd definitely go back.
Great food and service! The key lime pie is amazing. Great place for celebration dinner.
When I mentioned that I'd made the reservation, my girlfriend said, "Great, we ought to go to Paul's more often." As usual, she's right. We've been to Paul's a dozen times or more, which is a statement in itself. The food is terrific and the menu varies sufficiently that there always are several options we've not yet tried. The service is outstanding. The wine menu is solid and usually has a couple of surprises. (Your waiter/waitress can recite specifics about pretty near everything on the wine list.) The bar is small -- six or eight stools? -- and every time we have dinner there it reminds me that someday I want to come back to have drinks. It's a cozy place, slight off the beaten track in Annapolis. Every time we pull into the parking lot, however, it's filled to overflowing. That tells you something: people keep coming back. And I plan to follow my girlfriend's advice to get there more frequently.
Very fresh and tasty food! I had the Caesar salad and Chipotle Salmon for dinner - both were excellent! Prices are reasonable for what you get - especially in Annapolis- and they do offer parking. Truly enjoyed my time with my friend; service was also very good. ✅✅✅😀
We visited Paul's for Sunday brunch to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant wasn't busy which gave our visit a leisurely feel. The seafood omelette was delicious but the filet minion eggs benedict was disappointing. The eggs were over cooked and the steak was very small and their was not enough sauce on the eggs. We were there to celebrate a birthday which was noted on the open table reservation but the restaurant did not do anything special to add to our celebration which is what I expected. So a little disappointing. We will eat here again but not for brunch.
We love Paul's for its superb cuisine, selective wine list, good art, and overall ambiance. It's our restaurant of choice when out-of-town guests visit. The noise level can vary however, depending on time of day and location of table. This past Saturday, we were seated in the front room, next to the front window and across from a table of 4 with very loud patrons. The noise level unfortunately marred what would have otherwise been a perfect meal. After half the tables left, the noise became manageable, so we lingered over delicious desserts and coffee. Advice to others: if you desire less noise, perhaps ask to be seated on the second level, or in the two-story portion where the sound has more room to travel.
Will come again and again. Excellent wait staff. Very friendly atmosphere. Private parking. Drinks were amazing, food was exceptional.
I loved everything: the food, the service, the atmosphere. Our server was helpful and personable but not hovering. He stuck a candle in my dessert for my birthday and made sure someone sang. My friends and I ordered the meze platters, and we were surprised by the amount of food. Our dinners and dessert were delicious.
