Our favorite place in Burlington. Great food, pleasant staff etc ... highly recommend.
This restaurant is very quaint and cozy! We had a party of 7 and were seated upstairs in our own private room. Our waitress, Meredith, was a delight. Very friendly, and attentive. Everyone in our party loved their meal, everything came out hot and very fresh. We will definitely return here when we are back in town.
This is the first time back to Pauline's for almost 30 plus years and it is still a great place to eat.
My Birthday dinner while visiting Shelburne and Burlington. Excellent meal. Service was great. Was recommended by our Air B&B hosts. Will be back!
Stopped in for a late Saturday lunch. Our waitress was great - she had a table from @#)$ next to us which took 10 minutes with repeated visits to get their order agreed to but never lost her composure or patience.
Had a lovely rose with the crab cake benedict (substituted spinach for the cheddar). Was just one crab cake with potatoes and fruit but was perfect serving size for me and done just to my liking. Egg was poached perfectly and muffin was toasted sufficiently so it wasn't soggy.
The other server could be a little more well kept in dressing as his shirt was untucked and dirty which is always unappealing to me as a patron. But good cozy place for a casual bite.
Excellent food. Great drinks. Friendly staff.
Good value and good food
Pauline's is a great spot! Good food, comfortable atmosphere. Try the shrimp risotto! Onion soups is awesome, and save room for dessert!
Nice food, friendly service.
Wonderful meal on a very busy night (Valentine's Day). Excellent and attentive service. Overall a great experience!
The hostess didn’t even acknowledge us for 5 min. We waited 30 min for a waitress. The lamb chops I ordered were so undercooked I couldn’t even cut them and were paired with an overpowering tomato salsa.
I drove up from Virginia with a friend for our annual Vermont ski trip which always includes dinning at Pauline' s. Been coming here since 1992
Superb dinming experience never disappoints.
Good food,great staff. Very enjoyable.
Love Paulines! Good for family nights. Date nights and meeting over meals. Great food and service.
Food is excellent, staff are very pleasant. Great value.
We will go again, nice change from Downtown! Oysters were so fresh and delish. My husband had the LaPlatt Farm Burger which was to die for. I lo ed the beet salad.
We were a party of 6. All were happy with our dinners. Food and service were excellent. Our server , I believe Laurie, was pleasant and friendly as well as efficient.
Pauline’s never disappoints. It is chef owned and offers creative and delicious menu choices.
Dave is awesome chef and uses local ingredients. Always a treat to see what he has created.
We always enjoy Pauline's. The food and service are very good!
I really like this restaurant for a nice, quiet meal with my husband, I ordered an espresso martini and my husband ordered a dirty vodka martini. They were great! They even had the blue cheese stuffed olives. For dinner, I had the French onion soup and escargot with puff pastry. The escargot was prepared differently than the traditional but was wonderful. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel and it was delicious as well. The waitress was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly (even though it was a busy Friday night). We are locals and we will definitely be back!
Excellent service and meal. Upstairs seating was perfect for our occasion.
We drove up to visit my brother and wanted a nice local place to bee able to talk. The food, service and surroundings were great.
Warm atmosphere, great food and variety, friendly efficient staff. Really like the schnitzel, salads, and oysters Rockefeller.
Lovely setting and our waitress was excellent. But we had to wait 45 minutes for our food.
Food this visit was not up to usual standards
First time for brunch and it's terrific!
I've been going to Pauline's since the early 80's. They were one of the first restaurants in the area to institute a farm-to-table program, working in conjunction with local farmers. The menu includes a number of classics, and the preparation is always inviting. Pauline's is a good notch above a generic steak & seafood restaurant. There's real cooking going on here. Nice staff, too.
We never think of Pauline’s as “the place” to go, but we have always had solid meals there. They definitely seem to cater to an elder crowd, but if you get past that it’s really quite quaint.
Outstanding as usual:
reservations via Open Table
seating per request
waitstaff efficient, friendly, sense of humor & knowledgeable
Enjoyable Thanksgiving family dinner from our of town visit!
Loved it! Excellent everything! Service outstanding!
Great meal, great service--we've been going to Pauline's for years, and it remains excellent.
Very good. Always consistent at lunch and dinner. Friendly service and fresh food. Oysters very good.
I was drawn to the reviews mentioning that this was favorite of locals. My veal meatloaf was delicious but my husband had a burger and that was pretty mediocre-and you are charged for things like adding tomatoes. Also we were drawn to the online menu mentioning a lamb burger. The server told us and another party near us that those are menu "specials" and only available on the menu at certain times. The online menu should be updated. All in all it's just an OK place.
Pauline's was recommended by our hotel just a few minutes away. Food was fresh, creative, prepared and presented beautifully. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Location in a main road was convenient and once inside we could have been in a secluded forest. Atmosphere was cozy and warm and seemed to embody Vermont comfortable cuisine. So glad we had the opportunity to enjoy Pauline's.
We had a wonderful experience in every way at Pauline's. The server was polite and very competent. The meal was served at just the right pace. The food was fantastic. It was very creative, delicious and beautiful. The restaurant itself is pretty and warm. Dinner at Pauline's was totally delightful in every way and we cannot wait to go back.
Love this restaurant. Excellent food and drinks. The food is served piping hot.
Love the chicken or pork schnitzel.
Excellent service and very good food. Like Pauline’s for special occasions.
We had an 11:00 reservation for brunch. It took 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee. The meal arrived just before 12:00. One hour for brunch items? They must have been overwhelmed but it wasn't packed when we arrived...plenty of open seating. No acknowledgement of the delays, very little attention from the staff. Food was mediocre. A "side " of bacon came as two burnt pieces. Can't imagine serving that to anyone. Will avoid at all costs in the future.
