Ambiance but local, organically cooked meals with presentation

Just an average experience. Service was a little slow considering not many patrons. Started off with a good signature cocktail. Had escargot for an app and it was really lacking in flavor. It really could have used a good dose of garlic with the butter. And it was sizzling hot...tried to give it some time to cool off but still burned my tongue and roof of my mouth. Filled was a very nice cut and cooked perfectly but again...a lack of flavor. It was supposed the be pepper crusted but looked like it was only seared. And oddly, the seasoned butter daub didn't deliver. I was hoping for more for my money, especially given the high trip advisor rating.

Food and service were excellent. Only food remark would be that the oysters in the oysters Rockefeller dish were on the larger side. Would have preferred them to be smaller.

Lighting was a little too direct with spotlight-type fixtures (upstairs). Would be better if dimmed. Missing the white tablecloths that always added some romance to the silver service.

Would definitely recommend to others.

Went for an early Valentine's dinner. Staff was very friendly, service was quick and efficient. Food was delicious. Prices were reasonable.

Meh. It started off badly when we they seated us too close to another table, obstructing the server's path to other tables. We had to move the take ourselves not to be in the way, but our conversation was still affected, as we were too near the other table, and heard every word they were saying. You'd think the restaurant could figure this out better considering available space and covid. The food was barely average. We were hoping for so much better considering how rarely we go out anymore.

A great little restaurant with a unique menu, lovely staff, and nice atmosphere. The food was delicious! I will definitely go again next time I’m in town.

We had not been to Paulines in awhile and decided it would be nice since we know the food is usually great. It did not disappoint. From my specialty cocktail to our appetizer and main entree of Pork schnitzel it was delicious! The service was excellent. We will be going again soon!

Dinner was for our 50th wedding anniversary on that day. It was a wonderful day and such a joy for us to enjoy it at such a wonderful place with such delightful food and with such a pleasant staff. Thank you all for the beautiful memories.

We chose Pauline’s for my husband’s birthday, because it has always been very good in every way. Dennis loved his seafood selection and I really enjoyed the only vegan item on the list of entrees: an “Impossible Burger”, with a gluten free bun I had brought from home. Dennis loved the creme brûlée. The waitstaff were delightful!

Everything tasted amazing. It is my third year living in the area and this is one of the best places around I’ve experienced.

Love Thanksgiving at Pauline’s! Service is appropriately relaxed but professional, food is fine although nothing is elevated and the carrot soup, dressing and gravy was bland when turkey needs some sides that sing!

We were visiting from Ardmore, PA. I found Pauline's on Trip Advisor so I thought this would be a wonderful place to dine on our last evening in Vermont. We were seated immediately by a very gracious hostess. Our server, Alisa, was very helpful. We shared the Caesar Salad which was made with very fresh, crisp romaine (anchovies on the side). My husband couldn't decide between the House Schnitzel or the Crab Cakes. While Alisa said it was a hard decision, she recommended the Crab Cakes. Great choice! My husband loved them. I had the Eggplant Parmesan. Crispy nuggets of eggplant in a delicious tomato sauce. Not to sweet and definitely not acidic. We were full so we passed on desserts.
