   Everything was nearly perfect. The service, the atmosphere, the drinks. But my medium rare filet was dry and overcooked. Really ruined what was an otherwise very nice anniversary dinner.

   The service was slow and the food was just ok. Our appetizer order was wrong so they took the food to another table and gave it to them for free, then it took another 20 minutes to get our appetizers. Reservations were for 5:15 and we didn’t get out of there until almost 8:00. I went in December and everything was wonderful, so I was disappointed last night when we brought my parents in for a celebratory dinner.

   Wine was served promptly by friendly wait person, dinner was not. Few patrons, but dinner took over 30 minutes to be served Pork chop tough, wedge salad with skimpy blue cheese, bacon etc.but huge wedge. Bread pudding was cold, dry and inedible. Bread pudding was removed from bill. Host avoided our table after dessert sent back. He had been by before we were served any food.

   Food was terrible, plain and simple. Pork chop was extremely over cooked and tough. Maybe 3/4 inch thick, and the waiter didn’t even ask how I wanted it cooked. How you can charge $35 for that with a straight face is simply beyond me. Partner got the redfish and also extremely overdone. Maybe a fluke but all in all awful. Neither of us ate more than a third of our meals. Waiter must have known how bad the meal was as he didn’t ask how the food was even once nor did he offer a to go box despite us having 70% of our meals left. Don’t go here, there are better options for your money.

   The reason for this review is alot of things. First I asked for a booth , I was told none were available but we walked passed 2 booths. Second the waiter didn't introduce themselves to us. That was the first time that has happened. We didn't know the waiters name until we received the check to pay for the meal. Tip value has dropped by then. The first time our food was just ok instead of what we would always say. Which is that the food was "delicious". This was the first time we experienced such bad events there. This is one of our favorite restaurants so we will be back, hopefully it will be back to why Paulette's is just that.

    We have been going to Paulette’s for years, a favorite restaurant. But yesterday the service at their Sunday Brunch was less than expected…popovers were 45 min late. These are a standard starter when you sit down. We had to keep asking for refills for water and coffee. Had to send one of the entrees back because it was luke warm. And then we were delivered the wrong bill.

    Our service was excellent. Owner Mr. George Falls greeted us as we arrived and as we left. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, elegant. Small complaint was the delicious popovers were overcooked this time. But dinner was very good.

    Paulette’s used to be our favorite restaurant to go to when we wanted to get dressed up and go for a celebration dinner. The last 2 times, service hasn’t been great. We waited a while before our server even approached our table. The food wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great like it has been in the past. We were there to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and honestly the experience SUCKED!!! Highly disappointing

    The service was very slow given that we mentioned upon being seated that we were attending the Orpheum for a Show at 7:30 and needed to complete our meal in an hour and a half. It was over an hour and a half when finally requested our check.

    I hate to do this because we have always had lovely dinners at Paulette’s. But, on this occasion, thing just did not go well. I think the restaurant was just overwhelmed. Our server was trying very hard, but was rushed. It took forever to get our main course and then the fish was cool, the chicken satay overly salted, and the shrimp & grits sausage was dry. Overall, just disappointing. But, we won’t give up - maybe just not go on a Saturday night….

    My chicken crepe tasted like it was made with canned chicken. The filling was so salty that I literally couldn’t eat it. The cheeseburger soup was also very salty and pretty uninspiring. The popover with strawberry butter was delightful.

    Beautiful restaurant. Easy to get to. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River. We ordered crab cakes, chicken supreme crepes, and strawberry arugula salad. All were delicious. Dessert was strawberry crepes, key lime pie, and bread pudding. Not a crumb left.

    When we arrived our table was not ready. The staff seemed very disorganized and chaotic. When I asked the waitress for a drink menu rather than the wine menu she brought it but never ask for my drink order. On the menu the beginning dish was crab cakes as in plural on the menu but only one was served. We had the steak filet mignon it was very good. The desserts were fine. Overall for the price I think it was very expensive. We were told it was a special menu for Valentine's Day dinner but we were never told what the dishes were or the prices before going there. If I had known the menu and the prices before going I believe we would have chosen somewhere else to go.

    The service was great. I lowered the food rating because the filet’s were not tender although cooked correctly; just a bad cut for a filet apparently. The crab cakes are wonderful! Will dine again but not for Valentine day special unless I want the fish.

    The food was very good. I did not get what I ordered and when I told the server, he told me what I ordered. I was taken aback by this because we had a conversation about it and the Chefs vegetables. He told me they were asparagus, which I don’t like and asked him to plate it separately for my girlfriend. He had brought me Chicken Bruschetta, when I had ordered Chicken crepes. I asked if he could take it back and see if they could possibly turn what he had given me into chicken crêpes. I told him I did not want them to waste the food, and if they couldn’t do it, then bring it back to me, and I would eat what he originally brought me. He came back shortly afterwards and told me that they said they couldn’t do it. Having been in the restaurant business myself, I knew this was very unusual, especially when the server had made the mistake. I got the feeling he did not mentioned the mistake was on him, but blamed me. Later on, I confronted him about the asparagus and how we had had a conversation about it. Then he admitted that he had made a mistake, but offered no apology. I think I ended up paying more for the Bruschetta than I was supposed to pay for the crêpe. He was nice otherwise but seemed a little disheveled. I love Paulette’s, and I will certainly go back, but this was not one of the better experiences I’ve had.

    We chose to celebrate Valentine’s Day again here. We have been several years in a row along with celebrating our anniversary in the past. Food was good but overall service was disappointing. Our reservation was at 11:15 and we were there a few minutes early. The guy that supposedly checked us in said they were still in the process of setting up for the day. Told us to wait in the lobby and they would come and get us. 10-15 minutes later I went to the hostess desk and checked on being seated. The ladies appeared to not know that we were there and waiting. Our server lacked being attentive (restaurant not busy). Service was very slow. My husband asked for more tea and she brought hot tea, no ice. She just lacked making it feel special on this special day. So it will be a long time before we think of going back.

    I personally dont like giving bad reviews, but I waited two weeks to eat at a restaurant that I had so wanted to try for so long. We waited an hour for our food, the waitress wouldn't come back to the table. Couldn't get her attention. A lady who was walking around asking how things were going came by, when we told her we had been there a long time, she told us we were the only table that order was behind....wonderful now what....she offered us a free dessert. Not a let me see what's happening nothing. Food finally shows up with a waitress that has an attitude...I ordered a steak and lobster the night special. I ask where was the lobster. She pointed at the three small pieces of meat on the small steak. The "lobster" was ice cold. The small steak was over cooked but, at this time I was starving and we had other places to be. So sad this place I was so looking forward to eating at, a place that has been in Memphis for so long had to be so disappointing. For the record we didn't accept to dessert.......
