Patzeria Family & Friends Ratings and Reviews
Had dinner with my honey on Saturday evening before show and decided to sit at bar to watch football with our meal. The bartender (female, not sure of her name) was excellent, food was also very good and the overall experience was perfect for a pre-theater meal on a Saturday evening.
Great Italian food. I had salmon, my husband veal. Everything Wes delicious. Service very friendly and accommodating even though it was crowded and noisy. It was pre-theater on a Friday so if you go then you definitely need a reservation and to expect loud voices and a little chaos. Not exactly relaxing or romantic. But otherwise recommended.
Our favorite go-to restaurant in the theatre district. Food is consistently good, service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. The only negative was getting charged for a second basket of bread. None of us could remember having been charged like that the last couple of years, but we still enjoy it there and we will be back.
We’ve been going for dinner at Patzeria and friends every time we visit NYC, it is now a family tradition. They never disappoint and we would like to give a special mention to the rack of lamb on the Christmas menu, my husband still talk about how good it was. We’ll continue our tradition on our next visit.
We ate here before heading to Anastasia on Broadway. The food was the some of the best Italian that I've ever eaten! The garlic knots and marinara sauce are a must! We had spaghetti, pizza and salad. All were excellent. I will be recommending this place to any friends that visit NYC. Our waiter was very kind and made sure we had everything done in time for our show. Someone at the table behind us spilled a drink and I noticed our waiter was especially kind and patient with them.
Poor food and not great service.
Unfortunately the food was not good and even though I booked the table for my dad’s birthday and asked the restaurant to bring a surprise cake or brownie at the end, they didn’t bring anything.
Overall, very disappointing.
We chose this place because the online menu had everything Italian that anyone could ever want. When we got there, it was packed and the owner,Joe greeted us and said we were gonna have a great meal. And he was right! We started with a personal pizza which was the appetizer for all 5 of us. Then pasta fagioli soup...yummy! Small Caesar salads for three and they were huge. Main courses were eggplant park for me and it was the best I have ever eaten, lasagna made with beef...my husband doesn't eat pork. Shrimp Scampi, Mussels and penne with sausage and broccoli sabe. Chocolate gelato and caramel brownie cheesecake for dessert. And we all rolled away from the table happy and full.
I am an x New Yorker and was in the city for business and my birthday. Plus I am Italian.
This was the best authentic Italian food. Plus they make you feel like family.
Pizza looked great, but I had baked clams and shrimp parm pasta dish. Both delicious. Plus cannoli and cappuccino celebrating my birthday with candles was appreciated. Owner was friendly and service was great.
I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
All the food we ordered was delicious. I ordered the chicken piccata with veggies instead of pasta my husband ordered the chicken parmigiana, sis ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a pizza for the kids. Pizza was very good thin but not to thin soft dough. I would highly recommend.
We were in NYC for the Springsteen on Broadway performance and just happened to see this place on Open Table. We had a great experience - wonderful ambience - very good food for the price - would highly recommend. We had the Neopolitan Pizza but everything that went by our table looked good! Going back home soon, or would go back again before we leave.
Met good friends that moved from the west coast to meet up with us while visiting NYC for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Short walking distance from our Hotel (7th Ave. /48t)in the heart of Times Square and easy for them to find --came in from CT on the train, it was the perfect restaurant for a large group of 12. Made one reservation on Open Table for 8 and called to make a separate reservation for 4 and asked to sit by one another-very accomadating. The 8 younger generation sat together--while the four older adults took the table for 4 to catch up. Our table of four ordered a dinner salad, spaghetti with a side of sausage and a pizza(meatball and fresh basil) to share--we enjoyed all our food very much. Younger adults ordered two pizza's (margherita, lasagne pizza) along with a ravioli for one of them and they were equally pleased. The cozy casual spot off a busy street though close in was "perfect" my friend from CT said. We love to support local establishments.
decent food at a decent price off Times Sq. Good if you want to take the kids somewhere that has a menu with options they will like. I would use this as a great family meal or a few mates having a bit of scran, but not a major event. May be good for a date because there is a pleasant atmosphere and the staff are excellent.
Our first visit was due to the location, near our hotel, theater, etc. We loved the food and returned several more times for lunch, dinner, and drinks after the theater. The staff was very friendly and attentive and recognized us on our return visits, making sure to stop and say hello. We met interesting people, both visitors (like us) and locals at the bar after the theater and enjoyed good conversation. This is our new favorite restaurant for return visits to New York.
We were in New York City for a meeting and a couple of shows. Whenever we're there we make sure we go the Patzeria Family & Friends for pizza!! Can't say its better than our home town pizza (Chicago) but is definitely the best place to go in the city for pizza! Also super service, friendly staff and prompt seating.
Have been before, and it is consistently very good. Meals were excellent. Ambience is friendly but tables a bit tight together, and the room is noisy. But we rather expected that, and but for a particularly noisy table location, the rest was very enjoyable. I will certainly return in future.
