Patti's 1880's Settlement Ratings and Reviews
Everything was very good all except we ordered pie to go and the waiter told two of our group members that they were out of coconut cream pie so they did not order however I did order a chocolate pie to take home. Later when I opened it was coconut cream. So before you leave check your to go containers
The problem was the waitress was lousy. Our food was luke warm by the time we got it. She showed up one time to offer refills on our drinks. When she did come by she was not friendly! We were seated next to the kitchen door, I ordered a piece of pie for dessert; I waited 10:00 minutes for the pie. I finally got tired if waiting and asked for my check. I asked for ranch dressing it never came. I asked for lemon for my iced tea 2 times before she brought it. I drove 2.5 hours round trip to bring my wife here to eat for her birthday and frankly I was disappointed as was my wife.
Take notice this is probably the first and last time I will have something bad to say about Pattie's. I go there a few times a year and usually take about 5 families there this time of year over several nights for a Christmas dinner as a gift. The steak this time was not to their usual standard. I was surprised that the cook did not set it aside because it had a visable large ball of gristle surrounded by fat that took up about 1/4th of the mass of the steak. I love the location and the Christmas spirit in the entire town. I will continue to go as the food is normally very good and I hope this was an abnormality. Their tree pavilion where Santa visits is always a treat and I enjoy watching Ms. Clause ask parents about their children to have Santa engage the child by name and questions that are directly related to them. Ms. Clause and Santa are connected electronically so he can get to the point and stun them with his knowledge of their past behavior. The look on their faces can be astounding. This part of the evening has always been a special part as there is no charge to visit Santa and parents are encouraged to take photos! This was my third visit this season. I drive two hours each way to share this place.
First time to Patti's. Smaller, separate dining rooms were nice, low noise level, nice ambience. Service was very good. Food was good but not extraordinary and not necessarily in keeping with the prices. Aside from the restaurant there are lots of gift shops and things to see, holiday lights were fun. Planning to visit in another season. Looks like some good outdoor options in good weather.
We arrived on schedule- and then we were seated- our server took our drink orders and appetizer order quickly. She returned with our drinks and shortly to follow with our appetizers -the salads and then our food arrived quickly. For a service of ten it was the quickest ever.
Me and my mother had been planning to visit Patty’s for several months to see the Christmas lights and Patty’s did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the environment was warm and cozy, and the holiday lights were out of this world. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN TO PATTI S ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. HOWEVER, OUR FAVORITE TIMES HAVE BEEN THE CHRISTMAS SEASON WHILE THE BEAUTIFUL DECORATIONS ARE UP. OUTSTANDING. THE AMBIENCE IS VERY PLEASING AND MAKES EACH TRIP A SPECIAL MEMORY.
IN ADDITION TO THE RESTAURANT, WE HAVE SEEN SEVERAL SHOWS AT THE BADGET THEATRE. THIS IS ALSO A VERY REWARDING EVENT. WE HAVE ALWAYS FELT BOTH EXPERIENCES HAVE ADDED TO OUR SPECIAL TIMES.
I have been to Patti's before but this was a first visit for my friend. She had the special of the day, smoked brisket and I had the pork loin cooked with apples. Everything we had was delicious. Since it was December we had the added bonus of the Christmas decorations. Every room was beautifully decorated with different themes and colors. (If you go at Christmas, be sure to walk around the restaurant and see each one). After lunch we shopped for a while at Patti's and then returned to the restaurant for dessert. The servings at lunch are so generous, it seems impossible to eat the meal and have room for dessert. The selections all look so good, it is very hard to choose just one! My friend loved her Sawdust Pie . I was very pleased with my choice of coconut cake. After dessert we oohed and aahed over the lights decorating the grounds. My friend observed that it was as good as visiting Opryland Hotel but with a lot less walking. A trip of two hours in a car for a restaurant may seem a bit much, but the food and whole experience makes the trip well worth the driving time.
Fish was great. However was disappointed to learn that my wife’s and sons pork chops were not fully cooked. They did not complain because they did not want to ruin the dining experience. Cooked chops in crock pot for four hours - after taking home. None of us will order pork chops again.
As usual there is a nice Christmas theme this time of year and some have been changed. Santa and Ms. Clause are a hit. The food is good and the service is usually top notch. I do miss one omission on the appetizer menu it was the loaded potato chips that are no longer available. Been going there for years and just found out they had a military discount of 25%.
The staff was very unfriendly. One hostesses was rude. Refused to serve my teen-age son a sandwich becasuse it was after 4:00 pm. Then she rushed him to order quickly, standing over him with her hand on her hip and glaring...no smiles from anyone here. The food was actually very tasty, but very overpriced. They charged to share your meal or desert (?) Also was impossible to get the menu with prices online prior to visit. I will not return. Description in 2 words rude and greedy.
Patti's was a wonderful experience. We went on a calmer afternoon and it was quiet and great for a business meeting. We had a party of 10 and were placed in a side room by ourselves. The decorations for the Christmas holiday added to the ambiance. Our server was wonderful. She left us time to have our meeting as well as eat but made sure that all our needs were met. We were extremely happy with our experience.
Our bread was left to set beside our table until it got cold which meant we had to wait another 15 min before the bread arrived. Our waitress was not pleasant and went long periods of time between checking on our table then behaved as though it was an inconvenience when we asked for refills or any assistance. The other waitress in our area was more helpful and pleasant to our group. My husband and I spent well over $200 on this meal for our family of 10. Pattie's for Christmas has become a tradition over the last several years but my husband and I discussed on our way home trying somewhere else next year. The Christmas atmosphere is outstanding but the experience as a whole not so good.
