Bridget and Craig, two winery chefs, opened Patrona in 2003. The simple goal was to enjoy the great area we live in and share this with our family and friends. Our mission statement is simply “Happy People”. We need to be happy about what we do and how we do it. Our guests need to be happy and feel good as well as our neighbors and future generations. This means a thoughtful and sustainable business. Our menu changes are based on today’s catch from the gardens, ocean and local purveyors.
We ordered drinks and food. One of the drinks had food frozen in the ice. When I got my next drink it tasted way to much like Rose and I felt like I was drinking a bottle of perfume. The food was delicious, but unfortunately we found two hairs in our chicken. I think maybe they were just having an off night, and I would be willing to give Patrona another shot.
I actually made reservations for CHOP CHOP (or thought I was) but the online reservation said nothing about it being closed (the next day I had an email from Patrona asking how the service was.. then I realized when I made reservations, I was actually making reservations for Patrona (not knowing). When we arrived, it was closed, so we went to Patrona (knowing same owner). Have eaten here numerous times, we always enjoy ourselves! However, Monday was a little different. I was not crazy about the food this time (was just okay) and our server was very nice and attentive UNTIL it was time to get our check. we waited 10 min after we finished our food, even had the CC on the edge of table (we were both on our lunch hour). I finally had to take the bill up front so we could leave. SO, that was my only true complaint.
The food was mediocre, the service was slow and confused. It seemed over priced for the quality that we received. I was not expecting much going in but it barely hit my low expectations.
Menu gets boring. Bring back the wonderful fried artichoke, panflova and lattes!!!
The service was great and the food was very good. The decor was a little funky and I was not sure what it was suppose to represent.
Outstanding service. Very relaxing. Enjoyable and delicious food. A fun experience. Can't wait until next time to see what special dish will be served.
Great service in an attractive room and deck. Food is quite good, especially for Ukiah. Menu had a wide selection and food was well and attractively prepared. I had nettle ravioli was very tasty and light. Good and well priced wine selections. Staff graciously made an exception and let me have dinner with my dog on the deck, which was closed due to a staffing issue.
A lovely quiet outdoor lunch. Our server was fun, informative and a very nice young lady and the food was wonderful, especially the calamari.
As usual, your place is definitely VALUE FOR MONEY
Patrona is my favorite restaurant in all of Mendocino County!!! The service is fantastic. I have become friends with everyone who works there. They prepare my favorite cocktail the minute I walk in the door. The food is consistently delicious and beautiful. This is the perfect restaurant.
My 87 year old Auntie lives in Ukiah, and eating out with her is always a special occasion. The service was warm and inviting, the menu selection was fantastic, our food choices were perfect, and the wait staff was attentive.
Wonderful food and our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable.
As always, the food was terrific; fresh and well thought out. We come for the community dinners as often as we can. It feels like our home base, were we try and celebrate with friends, and bring our family when they visit. I have never had an unpleasant time here.
As always, service was great! We were greeted with smiles ad warmth. Very sweet server and bus boy. Oysters were excellent We love horseradish! Champagne was fabulous. We also had some flatbread which was yummy. Good times!
Great place with a community feel and good value for the quality of food. Especially liked the seafood with romesco broth. The seasonal vegetables on the entree were perfectly cooked. Also accomadating to special diets.
Stopped on our road trip down to San Francisco. Wonderful, delicious little place. Highly recommend!
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Food mediocre at best and service terrible. Not at all busy but wait staff more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. Too bad after “13 years” they can’t do better. Not recommended
Great meal, a bit overpriced on the seafood entrees; only (small) complaint is being charged for bread and forgetting to serve the balsamic condiments that were supposed to come with the bread.
A delicous three course dinner - excellent and courteous service - lovely setting - at a very reasonable price.
The food was delicious on this Taco Tuesday, as were the margaritas. We take our friends to show them the variety these treats available at a great price. Although we had reservations, and arrived 30 minutes early for a drink, the bar was full and there was difficulty seating the four of us in a nearly empty room. After finally being seated, we waited 15 minutes before anyone came to take a drink order. We were expected to have our food orders ready at that time. Thank goodness the food offset the very disappointing service.
Wonderful restaurant. We live in the Bay Area and go to Ukiah once a year on business....we always eat at Patrona......it is as good as any San Francisco Restaurant. Please give it a whirl if you are in Ukiah. I bet you won't be sorry
We had the community dinner that was the best darn spareribs this side of mommas!!
Stopped by a a road trip and really enjoyed ourselves, thanks!
Patrona’s is a favorite place for me. The food is outstanding, and the staff is personable and knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food and service. A very enjoyable evening out. We'll be back.
I don't understand your NOISE choice. I assumed that the smallest box meant the quietest.
We were celebrating a soecial dat for my friend and Patrona's made it perfect! We both especially enjoyed the french press coffee. Great place!
Dining on Valentine’s Day at a large community table with people we didn’t know was not fun. When you spend $100+ on a romantic dinner sharing a table with strangers ruined it.
It's wonderful to have a San Francisco quality restaurant in Ukiah without the huge bill at the end. I love the intimate atmosphere and the very friendly wait staff. We come here often even though we live 40 minutes away.
This is always my spot when traveling from my home in Yountville to my business in Humboldt County. Staff is great. The menu has such a wide selection... no matter what I'm in the mood for it is here. I just naturally park 3-4 blocks away and walk to Patrona.
Everything was OK, but it felt like it easily could have been better. Service was a little lackadaisical, food was tasty but presented too casually. Interior is very nice and prices were in line. I wanted to love it, but not yet.
Great place for cozy dining place in Downtown Ukiah. Food was good. Service was friendly but not very attentive often almost feel like we and also our nearby table got abandoned. Our server never introduced herself to us never checked in us if anything was OK or not. Food runner took food to the wrong table not just once with our table but several times with our nearby tables as well. Service very slow please be prepare. Food overall good I order bunches of starter dishes like tapas style pork belly, lamb croquettes and salad. Love thier seasonal special cocktail.
We met family there for a birthday brunch. We came from Santa Rosa and they came from Eureka. It is a good spot with very good food, lovely ambience and great service. We'll definitely go there again when we're travelling and looking for a great meal vs fast food on the road!
I just love the waitress who handles the front left side of the place. She is personable and attentive. The food is terrific, and the community dinner is a great value!
Delicious menu, appreciated the extensive additional vegan menu. Creative, beautifully crafted cocktails. Our server was delightful and answered or researched our endless questions! We had a delightful lunch.
I thought the restaurant had a very nice interior, a good menu, and I would recommend it. But what I would not recommend is the veggie burger. It was very bland, I did not like the texture as it was very soft and there was not much on it, just a few onions and a small amount of sauce. I would also recommend getting an appetizer if you’re hungry because it only came with a very small salad and the veggie burger itself was not that big.
The chef has learned to cook my steak with NO pink - I did not have to send it back this time.
Finest restaurant in Ukiah. Inventive, diverse menu and extensive cocktail menu. If I'm in Ukiah, this is where I go for a great fine dining experience. On this particular occasion, there was a very noisy group in the bar. Some minor glitches with service: our salads were brought out before the appetizer.
Nice food but far short of excellent wine country cuisine I was expecting from other reviews
Excellent Restaurant. You can have a relaxing lunch or dinner and not feel rushed! We ordered the fish and chips, delicious. And great desserts.
