Patricia's of Holmdel
Food is always excellent and the service is unmatched.
It’s always outstanding !! Food service outstanding. Never disappointed
The food is good at Patricia's but the prices are out of line, the atmosphere is a step above cafeteria grade, and the service is sub par. Should dinner with your special someone, without drinks cost you $150+? Maybe on a special occasion but not very often. The restaurant largely consists of one large room with wall-to-wall tables (no dividers). We were escorted to a table for four towards the center of the room. We asked to be seated at an empty table for two that we spotted against the wall but they wouldn't accommodate us. We had to ask the server twice to get an ice bucket, and forget about getting automatic refills to your water glass. For many dishes Patricia's has passed the point where I am willing to shell out my hard earned money for an entree. I guess because its BYOB they feel they can charge outrageous prices. Even a chicken dish can cost you $30. Forget strip steak ($39), the veal chops ($45), and even short ribs ($38). Seafood is equally pricey. If you stick to the pasta dishes and pizza, the cost of eating at Patricia's won't be too outrageous. But why should you have to do that, oh and you also you have to avoid desserts and hot beverages. Herbal tea will run you $4 and what they call cobbler (which was really not much more than a 1" pie-like, wedge-shaped morsel was $10! All in all, not a place that justifies its high ratings. It does draw crowds and I can only guess its because of its location (not many Italian restaurants to compete with in Holmdel).
The menu was complemented by the specials and made ordering a tough choice as there were many interesting items. Service was fast and friendly and the birthday candle was really special.
Took my 28 year old twin daughters for their birthday celebration and sat in one of the booths. The feeling of togetherness, service and food was great. Waiter brought the girls a little sparkler fountain which just made everything memorable.
Nice restaurant with a nice menu and very helpful staff. It’s also nice to know that it’s BYOB and they also sell wine by the bottle.
Great gluten free options with notations on the menus! Everyone in the group had a great meal! Will definitely be going back!
Very large, very loud, overall food was very good. Prices a bit steep, however they seem to be willing to substitute/accommodate menu requests. Rosa was excellent!
Wonderful experience every time no matter the occasion
My first time at Patricia’s, it was my birthday dinner
Food was awesome we got the zucchini blossoms for an app I got the “Patricia’s” pizza which had figs, goat cheese and arugula
overall experience was great
to top it off they gave me my amazing Limoncello tiramisu that came with raspberry sorbet with a pretty sparkler
Thank you for making it a special birthday dinner
We will be back
Great food and services as usual. Chicken Milanese and Angry Lobster entrees are personal favorites. I recommended this place.
Enjoyed meeting owner. Met friends in the restaurant at the same time
Wonderful evening with family. The food was exceptional as was the waiter and staff. We had a busboy named Nick that was always on top of our water, bread and extra needs. The waiter recommended desserts which we declined, but he was so intriguing when he recommended them once more, that we changed our minds, and are happy we did. The Cobbler was exceptional, the food delicious...service was great!
Have always enjoyed Patricia's but this night it was exceptionally crowded and noisy. We were a party of four escorted to probably the worst table in the main restaurant--first row of tables, center by reception desk where everyone (customers & staff) pass through. I mentioned to the woman seating us that I indicated in my Open Table reservation that we would like to sit along the window side. She checked my reservation but for some reason, my request was not there. We finally were seated in the new room. It's beautiful but the acoustics are terrible--it was very crowded there also with long tables awaiting big parties. Finally, our waiter seemed pre-occupied and totally ignored us when we tried to get his attention for our check. We asked the busboy to please tell him we need our check. Our food was very good, as usual, but the ambiance was sorely lacking. Interesting--when we left the restaurant, the original table that we refused, was still empty. Could it be others felt the same way we did?
Our dinner was great! The food was really good and the spacing of the courses were really well timed out. All of the servers that helped us were kind and very attentive. We were very pleased with everything and will definitely be returning.
The food and service were outstanding. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely return.
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere.
Food was great but service non existent ... we were never checked in on for more refreshments, not offered cheese for our pasta dishes and a side dish was forgotten and brought out while we were already onto desserts... overall not a good experience
Delicious food, friendly service, and warm ambiance. My husband and I had the octopus as an appetizer and the homemade squid ink pasta with clams and shrimp for our entrees. Both were outstanding. As I was dining with someone with celiac disease, we were all happy to see a variety of high quality gluten-free options on the menu too. The entire group had a wonderful experience and I'm sure this will become our regular "go to" restaurant!
Great food terrific service but it would be nice if customers would give up their tables to the next group that’s reserved at that table... staff was so good about trying to get them to move along... all in all it was worth the wait! Definitely consider this a great dining experience! Will definitely go back!
Over all a very good Italian restaurant. Every one enjoyed their meal and the prices and extremely fair.
Great part is its a BYOB. Will go back
Everything was on point. Services was top notch and the food was excellent. We ate earlier so it wasn't crazy busy like it sometimes gets. Rack of Lamb is great and highly recommended.
One of our favorite places. Foods great and staff is very accommodating.
it is so noisy that it diminishes your enjoyment of eating dinner...no way to communicate with people at your table....far worse in back room so much I will never sit there again!!!
Servers were good but it . took a long time to get our food.
Great restaurant with fantastic food and service!
The food and service were excellent. We did have to wait about 15 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation.
Our meal was delicious! The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Our waitress and bus boy were awesome, would recommend this restaurant to everyone. We were not rushed at all!
Great food, lovely and friendly service from Katie.
Six people, 5 different meals, everything was terrific!
Food is nothing special. I was really disappointed with the backed clams. The stuffing was good, but why cheat the customer by splitting one clam into two servings. So you order eight, but your really eating four. Bad business!
Every clam is delivered fresh, shucked and stuffed in house. We throw the empty shell out and only stuff the ones WITH the clam. We would never serve a shell with only stuffing in it, that is not how we do business. Our baked clams have been one of our top selling appetizers for over four years. - Chef Lenny
Kate was our server and she also outstanding.!
Will definitely return!!
Our appetizers were very good (zucchini blossoms and Nonnas meatballs). My friends had the bolognese-good as usual, my other friend had the red fish special which was very bland and my filet mignon dish could have been better. The meat was tender but the asparagus and potatoes were so overdone that they were not enjoyable at all. Our server was lovely and accommodating. I’m not a zeppoli lover but my friend wanted them and they were delicious...warm and light with yummy cannoli cream.
Had the Sunday Sauce which was wonderful (as always), the Red Fish which was delicious and a fabulous beet salad and apple salad.
Excellent Italian restaurant I would recommend to anyone looking for quality food and terrific service.
Great food and service. Chicken Milanese and Angry Lobster Pasta are two of our favorites. Recommended for any family meal or get together.
Osteria portions significantly more generous. Pasta a wee bit over-cooked.
As always there was nothing to be disappointed about at Patricia’s. This event was a special occasion and the restaurant did everything to accommodate all our requests.
The evening was the perfect culmination of a perfect day.
The food is just fabulous.l wish they would serve wine buy the glass, just want 1 glass with my dinner
Fantastic meal - would highly recommend! Food is delicious, ambience very nice and service is good to outstanding depending on how busy it can get. Staff all really friendly and owner’s genuine attention to what is going on and how guests are doing is a nice touch that is appreciated. Really well run restaurant in addition to fab food. Don’t miss...
