Patricia's of Holmdel
Patricia’s of Holmdel takes the quintessential Italian family dinner and delivers it in spades. The menu consists of standard Italian fare with a generous list of thoughtful daily specials and unique but tasteful twists on standards. The seafood is fresh, the pasta is al dente, the portions are generous. Somebody (namely the chef) knows what they are doing.
The Sunday Sauce is only made on Sundays but it’s not to miss. The halibut is easily a double portion. The homemade desserts are absurd, probably illegal in a few states, definitely Pennsylvania. Homemade zeppole or gelato is a wonderful touch.
The wait staff are attentive and popping all over the place. When the owner is present, he makes every table feel welcomed. The locals know this place well, so I would suggest making a reservation. BYOB. As for ambience, somehow they managed to put crystal chandeliers coupled with modern decor.
Will be back for sure
Food was excellent. Everybody liked what they got. Waiter was very attentive. Would go back. Better for a group of people then couple date night
Server was sweet.
Consistently delicious, well prepared food served by friendly and professional staff.
Very nice special occasion restaurant. Service and food were excellent.
Very good food and pleasant staff
Celebrating our son’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We were the last customers in the restaurant and we did not feel rushed in the least.
Lunch was delicious as usual. Love this restaurant! We were celebrating a birthday and our waiter made sure that everything was perfect!
Always consistent and outstanding !
One of the best Italian restaurants around. Food was fabulous. Michael our server was informative, friendly, great recommendations. Seafood salad and fig and burrata were so delicious. So fresh. Nonna’s Sunday gravy delicious. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to return.
Always a great dining experience. Selections on the special Valentine's Day menu were superb.
Second time to your establishment and it was amazing. Forgot our waiter’s name but he said it’s the only one with the accent that works there! LOL The food is amazing and the staff is outstanding!! Can’t wait to come back!!
Patricia’s is always a great dining experience and I love that it’s BYOB.
Great place & great food !
I have been a frequent customer at Patricia’s and they never disappoint! The food is always on point, incredibly delicious and always makes me begging for more. While I’ve never had bad service there, Chelsea went above and beyond to make my dad’s birthday special. She is truly one of a kind and we hope that we have her as our server when we return.
Patricia's is a family restaurant so there are often large parties celebrating events. This energizes the experience while allowing enough intimacy for small groups or couples to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. The food is always delicious and portions large enough to take some home. The staff is friendly and professional seeing to details like putting a sparkler in your birthday cake and cutting it to accommodate your guests. They are busy so reservations are strongly recommended.
booked Patricia's for sister's retirement dinner with immediate family (7) as we had been there several times with great results and I am happy to say, no surprises.... Very nice booth was ready for us...service was attentive as it was on the way to the kitchen but still missed picking up empties placed at the end of the table on the way past...not a dealbreaker but otherwise good...the food was great as usual (especially the charred octopus, yum!), well-paced. Would definitely recommend for for small party. Will return and often.
We arrived with a large party (11 people) , we had a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was excellent, answering all the questions and adjusting dishes as needed. The food was simply fantastic. Everyone was extremely pleased with their dinner choice. We will be back!!!
Food and service were very good, Although everything on the menu is a bit overpriced.
I absolutely LOVE Patricia’s! We don’t go as much as we’d like because it is pricey but understandable for the quality of food. Coupons?? :-)
It's wise to have reservations for Patricia's. We had 4:30 reservations for Saturday
evening. We arrived at 4:30 and the restaurant was already busy. When we left at
7:30 the place was packed and people were waiting on line to get seated.
Went for my birthday, my husband would have done better letting us order one of their desserts instead of bringing a dry cake, besides they had key lime pie. Veal Piccata was fabulous and the iceberg wedge was wonderful. My husband loves the lasagna and minestrone soup.
Overall we had a very enjoyable evening for our first time dining at Patricia's. The menu was wide enough to satisfy a steak lover and a vegetarian and the prices were in line with the portions and level of food served. Our waitress was a bit too snooty for my liking but the service was quick and well timed between courses. They have the tables a bit close together which contributes to a louder than preferred noise level but all in all would definitely go back and would recommend.
Great meal -- can not wait to go back. Absolutely one of my favorite places!!
We had a wonderful experience at Patricia’s of Holmdel! The food , service and ambiance were amazing! We will definitely go back
Great service! Great food!
Prices are high
Their pizza is amazing. So delicious. Our server, Tara, is friendly; we are always so happy when she’s available. Love this place!
Truly a gem in Holmdel tremendous variety on the dinner menu in addition to a lengthy daily special list if you're gluten intolerant this place has quite a few items including warm bread for the table that is all gluten free staff was knowledgeable and very approachable definitely will be back
We were seated on time, the server Jorge was adept at his job, pleasant and personable, and our food choices were very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends
Excellent food and service. Well worth going. Specials are varied and interesting.
I have been to this restaurant before and absolutely loved it. But last night I had the pasta with lobster and the lobster was tough.
Food is always excellent and the service is unmatched.
It’s always outstanding !! Food service outstanding. Never disappointed
The food is good at Patricia's but the prices are out of line, the atmosphere is a step above cafeteria grade, and the service is sub par. Should dinner with your special someone, without drinks cost you $150+? Maybe on a special occasion but not very often. The restaurant largely consists of one large room with wall-to-wall tables (no dividers). We were escorted to a table for four towards the center of the room. We asked to be seated at an empty table for two that we spotted against the wall but they wouldn't accommodate us. We had to ask the server twice to get an ice bucket, and forget about getting automatic refills to your water glass. For many dishes Patricia's has passed the point where I am willing to shell out my hard earned money for an entree. I guess because its BYOB they feel they can charge outrageous prices. Even a chicken dish can cost you $30. Forget strip steak ($39), the veal chops ($45), and even short ribs ($38). Seafood is equally pricey. If you stick to the pasta dishes and pizza, the cost of eating at Patricia's won't be too outrageous. But why should you have to do that, oh and you also you have to avoid desserts and hot beverages. Herbal tea will run you $4 and what they call cobbler (which was really not much more than a 1" pie-like, wedge-shaped morsel was $10! All in all, not a place that justifies its high ratings. It does draw crowds and I can only guess its because of its location (not many Italian restaurants to compete with in Holmdel).
The menu was complemented by the specials and made ordering a tough choice as there were many interesting items. Service was fast and friendly and the birthday candle was really special.
Took my 28 year old twin daughters for their birthday celebration and sat in one of the booths. The feeling of togetherness, service and food was great. Waiter brought the girls a little sparkler fountain which just made everything memorable.
Consistently excellent food and service.
Beat Italian food I Monmouth county.
Nice restaurant with a nice menu and very helpful staff. It’s also nice to know that it’s BYOB and they also sell wine by the bottle.
