As expected it was awesome! Thank you
Great restaurant just off King St W. loved the small/shared plates and the Other Spanish inspired dishes. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend the croquettes.
Awesome!! Delicious food and great service!
Excellent ambiance, great food. Candles and decorations were beautiful. Felt cozy and intimate. Good for a friend-date or a date-date. Food was expensive, although it was delicious. Staff was friendly and service was good.
Very nice place, but hard to find from just the address: there are at least three businesses next to each other which have the same address. Patria is a ways to the left of the others, and set back from the street.
The food was excellent but the order of the food was terrible. It was recommended we order our paella ahead of time but they came before we received half our appetizers much less our salad. We got our final appetizer as we were getting ready to leave. Not impressed. Not much for a dairy free person.
We went there on a Sunday mid afternoon. By the time we left we were pretty much the only people at the restaurant. Food took considerably long considering small tapas dishes and relatively no guests. Flavours were nothing exciting. Sometimes bland. Not really any fond memory. There was no octopus on the menu that others mentioned. Price was on the high side as others mentioned. Gets by, nothing can be raved about this place.
Very nice, relaxed dining experience. Wait staff and food was exceptional. Ambience was very comfortable. Round table for two was a little small. My only complaint is that I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a patio table (which is very nice on a hot day) but didn't get one.
I was very excited to come here as the place is very nicely decorated and has a good reputation. What I experienced was overpriced food that did not taste very good at all. Baro across the street is way better.
Didn’t really appreciate making a reservation weeks in advance to be sat next to a fire alarm that seemed to be in our face.
Other than not showcasing Spain within their decor, which, if done properly will definitely earn this restaurant 5 stars, everything about this establishment is catered towards fine dining and groups of any size. Our servers were knowledgeable, and provided options where we were looking for it. The menu is not exhaustive, but covers a wide-enough selection of shareable and individual options. It is on the pricey side, but understandable, given the cuisine, presentation and service
Great food and outstanding service, great job on the pulpo a la gallega (octopus) it was amazingly tender. The service by Katie was outstanding.
A very nice meal. Food was excellent - especially liked the mushroom paella. The sommelier helped us pick a great bottle of rose. The dining room was very stylish and inviting, although it was a little bit warm on a hot summer night. It didn't help that we were sitting close to the kitchen and wood fire, so perhaps ask for a table a little closer to the front or on the patio in summer. A table in the back would be a fantastic spot in the winter.
My favorite spot in Downtown Toronto!
Very over priced
I don't mind spending the money but a little over priced. $12 for a bottle of beer....seriously. $38 for a small jug of sangria.....cheaper to fly to Spain and have real tapas....
Fabulous evening of wonderful food and service. Our waitress was attentive and not overwhelming, she explained how the menu worked and was accommodating to special dietary needs. Fantastic Spanish wine selection. We were fortunate to have an outside patio table where which was quieter than inside.
Way too much salt was used in all the food. Hostess did a terrible job sitting us, with an empty restaurant she tried to sit us next to one of the only other people in there and adjacent to the fire place. Waitresses were very quick and responsive. Cozy atmosphere.
I was greeted like a king over there. Because I mentioned to the staff that I was coming from Montreal, they went out of their way to make sure that I had an excellent service. It was more than I expected and will definitely come back with some relatives in my next stay in Toronto. They made me feel like a special guest. Excellent food and original cocktails.

Great service, good food. Prices are over the top. Always had been expensive but it has priced itself out of my range.
Great ambience, really cool spot with good service. However, the food was disappointing and everyone (party of 6) felt kind of sick afterwards.
Good service. Nice selection of inventive food choices. Excellent wine and a knowledgeble somillier. Very noisy!
Heard so many great reviews about this place, and so my expectation may have been a bit high from the outset. Food was good (but not spectacular). Their Pimientos de Padrón (app) was served without any sea salt, (as it should) so I had to request some, however the Dátiles and Bombas con Salsa Brava were quite good. Their specialty, the paella, was underwhelming and a bland, (I had the Paella Patria and husband had the Paela de Carrillada, and both lacked flavor and salt). Service was ok, however I had to ask for the bill three times, (as we had a show to get to), and it wasn't even that busy. Would consider giving this place a second chance, but as it stands, I definitely prefer Bar Isabel or LaVinia.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to ny friends for only one reason “Service”. I go out to eat very often and I like to try different restaurants specially great places like this with the amazing decor and amazing talented Chef Stewart Cameron. That is the only reason I went to Patria in the first place. The service for me should be as sharp as the menu in terms of level of service as well as the price we pay to dine there. That was not the case for me on my first visit. Thankfully there are many other tapas hidden gems out there. Sorry Patria won’t be a next time.
We are 4 female friends, have a longtime tradition to celebrate our birthdays visiting some fancy restaurant. Have been in many of Toronto's hot spots. We all agree: Patria is outstanding. Exellent food, authentic with a twist of creativity. Ample vine list. Portions are on a smaller side, but it is usual for a tapas bar, expect to order a number of dishes to try. Especially wish to mention the service. It was very attentive and professional, but not a bit of nuisance: exactly how you want it. It is an expensive place, we spent more than 100 for a person. We were sitting inside, but the patio looks nice and cozy, also they have a loft with a large table for a private event. Would recommend.
Excellent dinner spot. Lots of menu options. The seafood paella was great. The oxtail peppers were a hit. The grilled octopus was awesome. Outdoor dining was so comfortable. Expensive but worth it spot.
This is my third time at Patria and again the experience was amazing! The restaurant is beautiful, the service excellent and the food innovative and tasty! We had the paella with scallops and they were absolutely delicious!
Challenging to find this gem of a restaurant. Service was on top of everything. Made us feel totally welcome and made perfect suggestions. Meal was wonderful.
Portions were quite small, but came out at a good pace and surprisingly filled up quickly. Bacon wrapped dates were exceptional! Our waitress was amazing and had great recommendations for us :)
A very lovely restaurant! Enjoyed the Tapas experience and our server was very helpful. Also this restaurant had nice restrooms that were clean.
Our server Liz was amazing! And the food was top notch. Hadn’t been to Patria in a couple of years and it seemed better than ever. We had the branzino, octopus, shrimp and the butter lettuce salad along with exceptional hazelnut mousse for dessert.
We enjoyed our meal very much. Most dishes were very good (octopus, paella Patria) , some were so so. (Patatas Bravas were soggy and not at all crispy)
I was VERY impressed by the service and the team work of the staff.
If there was an empty plate or a water glass that needed to be filled - the first person to notice it, even if it it wasn't "their" table or "their" job, was on it. Everyone seemed to be covering for each other.
I would go back just to have dessert for dinner ! The Semifrío was SOOOOOOO yummy!!
Walked in with a reservation for a table for two, no line ups, since it was reserved for their opening time (5pm).
The host however lead us to an area which we later found out that no one was being lead to after us. We realized that its an unpopular seating area, since its right by the entrance. Everyone else were being seated deeper inside & upstairs. No idea as to why they did that, but very unhappy.
Food was very tasty. Portions were smaller than expected. Overall a good experience.
Amazingly delicious food! Tapas style great for sharing with a group. Paella was awesome. Great service too! Would definitely come back
Service was good, food was so so, space was cool. Convenient and private spot right in the entertainment district.
I came to Toronto for the night and saw Grease. This is my favourite place to eat.
Everything was outstanding! Our server was great and the food was amazing. I love introducing friends to Patria
Everything was absolutely perfect! Our server was amazing and knowledgeable, making sure order the perfect amount and paired our food with a perfect wine. Definitely one of my favourite places to go to!
I didn't like the paella. Everything else was great.
