   We came back to this restaurant because we loved our experience last fall (2024) - we learned they “rebranded” three weeks ago, and our experience was comparatively disappointing: -Prices were substantially higher for smaller portions. -House wine was just okay at $20 for an 8oz. -Dj was good but spun a loud club vibe at 6:30pm (perhaps this is just on Fridays?) -Felt a bit tasteless overall, with all the misogyny in the world right now & reversal of women’s rights, we couldn’t help but feel super bothered by the hostesses sexualized “uniforms”. -On the plus side: our server was lovely, attentive, and a good sport. This may be the vibe you’re looking for, but their new “brand” traded in exceptional quality and value, for appearance & status - it’s no longer for us.

   Everything was exceptional except the paella which should have been the star of the show but felt bland. We got the mushroom one and felt it needed a kick or more richness in the flavour

   The food is good but the seating area is very crowded, there’s not enough room for people to get around the table.

   Fantastic spot for a Spanish date night out in King W. Menu is a 2-pager of standout Spanish tapas, pintxos, paella, etc so you know it’s good! Our server Fiona was very knowledgeable and friendly, and recommends the tastiest tapas and booziest cocktails. Nice to see Patria revived as Beso, and I’ll definitely be back.

   Excellent experience! From walking in and being greeted by the friendly hosts to the team of excellent servers taking care of us throughout the evening; it was wonderful. The food was incredible! All around great night.

   We have been to Patria on my occasions. As a re-branded restaurant little has changed. The decor has been freshened up. The menu variety has been reduced. Quality of food is still excellent. Some service issues last night. Our waiter however really stepped up to rectify service issues associated with the restaurant re- brand. We will definitely return.

    I had the pleasure of dining at Beso last night, and it was an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is sultry, vibrant, and beautifully designed — every detail feels intentional and immersive. The food was outstanding — the branzino was cooked to perfection — and the service made the evening feel special from start to finish.
