There were fruit flies everywhere and the food wasn’t great (too salty)
Good and service were great. Would visit again.
Last minute booking but not disappointed. Really great staff and the Sunday set menu had plenty of variety. Free drink to start went down a treat.
Offered extras of veg which was appreciated.
Will definitely return
Very nice, had the lamb shank, very tasty!! Sitting on the terrace was lovely too
Food was wonderful but the service... not so much.
Food and service was amazing!
Had a really nice Father's Day lunch - Dany V was our server. She was fantastic - very helpful with the menu, giving us great recommendations. She was attentive and made our lunch special. The food was amazing - had the porterhouse steak which was perfectly cooked and the pork loin roast which was juicy and tender.
Lovely place and lovely service. The team is great and so friendly and are so attentive. The food is quiet tasty but the desserts could be improved. Thanks for a lovely night.
great place in the centre of the City of London
first time out for lunch outside with the whole family from different bubbles since lockdown
Great Sunday lunch
No parking , recommend tube
Service could be better. Forgot to bring wine to table. Food good but for the price presentation and service needs to be better.
Food was great and the cocktails were very nice.
The service was quite slow and we waited about 45 minutes for our first drink to arrive.
We weren't very close to a heater but they did provide blankets which was great.
Good food & good service but a bit pricey at almost £100 per head!
I was delighted to be coming out to eat after lockdown and was, before lockdown, a long standing regular of D&D restaurants including PCH. I was also excited to be seeing PCH’s new location. Unfortunately the experience was somewhat disappointing. For whatever reason we were initially seated under the only heater that did not work. When we were moved there was also a lack of outside heating at the second table (and the outdoor gas heater was not running at full power). There were warmer tables (including ones that became empty while we were there) but for whatever reason we were told we could not be moved to them (despite spending, between four of us, almost £700 on dinner). Maybe those other (mostly younger patrons than us) were friends. Who knows. Finally, the food. Whilst tasty enough, 100g of fish for a main course (£32 turbot), most of which was bone (I cook turbot at home, I’m astonished they found a piece of the fish that was so full of bones), is really unacceptable.
Not sure I like the new location and room, quite industrial and smaller. The terrace is bigger which helps during the current situation! However the food and service were excelent and the covid precautions making it a pleasant experience
Great wine, lovely food and giving circumstances a very well run restaurant
The restaurant may have moved down the road but the food and service is still bang on. Special thanks to Hannah and the team for the great welcome and service.
Its no where as good as the old restaurant and the food was cold
But the cocktails was very nice and still using the old photos of the old restaurant on the web page its lot smaller and first dates don't use this place anymore
Food and service was amazing - Covid regs were really good. Cant fault this place - went with my extended bubble as a single person living alone- most table were in two's, and very very well spaced out. It was my 50th and they made a very odd time extra special. thanks so so much ..
My Sister is a big fan of the tv programme ‘First Dates’ so we chose the restaurant to celebrate her birthday as this is where it is filmed.
Food is very good, fantastic service and they made a real fuss of my Sister.
Delicious food, excellent service
A great place to dine
The restaurant is closing and it really showed! Food was reasonable but unfortunately everything else was a real disappointment. Certainly not like the First Dates restaurant! It was my wife’s 50th birthday and unfortunately it fell well short of expectations!
Didn’t help that we had eaten at the Asia Ivy earlier in the week which was brilliant!
The food was very tasty and very good value. Staff friendly and attentive
Lovely restaurant, perfect for a special occasion given it’s a little more expensive. Complimentary dessert saying “happy anniversary” would a brilliant touch.
Had a birthday dinner celebration here, and what a treat it was, from the delicious snacks all the way through to the desert.
Service was great, and the birthday surprise was fantastic.
Definitely would go back again.
Food was lovely and service pleasant. It was very quiet and there was no real ambience in the restaurant which was a shame!
Relaxed brunch, buzzing atmosphere. Value for money on the unlimited bubbles!
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Managed to get a last minute table and really well accommodated for. Busier than expected for COVID measures but still felt reasonably safe. Food was divine and the staff were lovely.
Took a friend and we had a enjoyable evening . staff were polite and helpful. Had the steak which was excellent. i would defo recommend the house Red too. i will revisit in the spring.
Due to covid the meal is rushed. Book earlier than 8pm.
Staff were lovely
Went for a birthday/date thing. Nice food and atmosphere.
I can’t fault the service, every member of staff was outstanding. I just felt the porterhouse was on the average side, a little cool and slightly tough. Maybe I’m just getting old, but didn’t come away thinking that was outstanding value overall either.
Lunch booking and didn't seem too busy. Sat outside, prompt, friendly service. Starter was great. Then we waited and waited and waited. Server came over after about 30 minutes and said mains were nearly ready, and gave us a glass of complimentary wine by way of apology, but it was still another 10 minutes. Chicken Kiev finally arrived soggy, partly burned, and really disappointing. Poor experience, especially given the cost.
It was a super day so we were able to sit outside and it was glorious. Lovely food and service highly recommended
Unfortunately for me I was served a well overdone steak by a moody gentlemen when I requested it medium rare. He took the excitement and the whopping price tag of 95 pounds from me with service charge included I kindly let go.
I work round the corner and thought I was in for a treat but sadly me and my guest were left unsatisfied , drinks etc staff are great. Will attend for usual drinks!
Went for Sunday roast. Sides were great. Brilliant Yorkshire puddings. Lamb was very fatty and chewy-not the greatest.
Had a fantastic day in London, followed by the best experience at Paternoster Chop House. Such good food and service.
Excellent service. The right amount of banter to make it fun. An excellent steak and Truffled butter that made Keto manageable. The terrace was lovely in the sun.
Great food and location. They are working quiet slow to ensure there is minimal contact with guests which unfortunately has you waiting a long but the food all arrived hot. Steak was slightly undercooked for medium but the flavours were amazing! Set menu was very poor but ordered from the standard menu for a little but more.
Really great vibrant location attentive and friendly staff but most importantly great tasting steak
I was there with my husband. We, in particular, did not liked the food. I mean it is okay but nothing especial. I also have to precise that it was the ''eat out'' last day and it was very busy, maybe that is why. Even so, it should not be the case.
A part that the service was impeccable, the waitress was very nice and talkative.
But I wont return there, sorry
