Open Table shows it $$ dollar sign for cost. It is not. It is outrageously expensive. I would equate this to a $$$$ category.
To top things off, one of my dining companions wanted to swap the side dishes on one pork dish with another. The waiter said it would cost 10.00 dollars to do so. Unbelievable! Next, we asked for additional bread. The bread was served warm but nothing fancy, plain French bread. They had the nerve to tell us there is a charge for additional bread.
Their entrees easily average 55-60 plus. Their ravioli costs 65.00. What??? Yes, you heard me! You would think they could offer more than one basket of bread.
I don’t mind spending this type of money for dinner but certainly not at this restaurant.
Open Table, please update to the correct $$$$ so that future diners know what they are getting themselves into.
Very expensive for quality and portion sizes. Quite surprising to see my steak delivered with one asparagus spear! The service is also haphazard. The Malbec though is fabulous.
Great place to eat and visit with friends. Reminds us of Argentina with excellent cimichuri and empanadas.
I've been there a number of times. Food is good, nice atmosphere, but in my view, very over-priced.
We used to love this place, one of our fave neighborhood restaurants. To tell you the trust it was already pricy but to our surprise, after Spring Brake we went strait there from the airport to have dinner, they re do the menu, no new dishes just a huge increment in the prices!!!! Sorry to say but they just lost our business and we were regular there!!!!
Great place. The Parrilladas are simply fantastic.
Party of four, late Saturday evening gave Patagonia a try. Place is nice and cozy, service was impecable, food was good but not outstanding. Prices are way up there, but I guess there is no other way to stay afloat in that neighborhood unless cranking up prices. I did not have steak, but my son did have the T-bone which at $58 with the house salad was on the high end of prices I would be willing to pay. The empanadas argentinas at $6 dollars each are way over priced. My suggestion js to make them a bit bigger than a one bite size snack. Venison sausage was good, but again $26 for 2 sausages takes away any good taste the sausages bring to your mouth. House wine was good, bread was good, but additional basket at $3 in a 58 dollar steak house restaurant is a slap in the face.
Give them a try and let me know if I am wrong
Restaurant and food was great. Just a little pricey.
Our go-to spot for great steaks with excellent service. While a bit pricey, the food does not disappoint. The meat empanadas are usually tasty, this time a bit salty. Hopefully that's a one-off. Other than that, awesome evening with family including nice background music.
The noise level was a little too loud when the saxaphonist was playing. My wife is hearing impaired and this did not help. Other than that we enjoy this restaurant.
Food and service was very excellent. The only bad thing I can say is the wait to be seated. Waited over 30 minutes even though I had a reservation.
The best argentinean Steakhouse in Houston
5.0 rating says it all. We had 7 in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal and the outstanding service. One visit is not enough.
Ordered a steak for “2” (were told that is was 30oz) @ Medium Rare. First steak couldn’t have been more than 18oz and was completely well done. Sent back. Second steak was about the same size and was still medium well and not anything close to what was ordered. Will not be returning. Quality doesn’t justify the steep price
This place is a gem! The food was amazing from start to finish, everything was well portioned and fresh and delicious. The lunch menu specials were a great deal and this is the perfect spot to have a sophisticated meal with the special someone.
This is my second visit to Patagonia, both times I have been pleased with my entree choice, but the service has been exceptional both times, this last time the bottle of wine we selected was out of stock. The waiter recommended another bottle at approximately the same price and it was excellent. I highly recommend this place albeit a little expensive
nice restaurant in a simple strip center
but very expensive for the quality. I tried the most expensive item on the menu wanting and expecting to be wowed. I wasn't. 68$ for a conventional braised lamb shank with mash potatoes, green beans, and spinach is, in my opinion, excessive. The executive lunch menu does not offer anything Argentinean of note. My guest ordered the...salmon! he enjoyed it but...salmon? All non executive lunch choices of interest were also expensive. in my opinion compared to more high-end steakhouse restaurants...
Excellent spot. The second time eating there didn't disappoint. The prices are premium, but worth it.
As always food and service was excellent- we always enjoy going there!
The quality of the food and service were on point. It was a little pricey for a neighborhood restaurant but top shelf just the same.
The holiday decorations we're very tastefully done.
Myself and my wife truly enjoyed celebrating our anniversary. The food is beyond fantastic. Very authentic Argentinian place.
Have been there for dinner on numerous occasions. The food is always great and portions are generous. The wine list is extensive. Saturday evenings usually includes calm live music. There’s a screen behind the bar that runs through some beautiful Argentine landscapes. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Had the braised (beef?) ribs...gotta say they were horrible. Did not taste like beef at all...very heavy "fat" taste...and not in a good way. The porcini raviolis on the other hand were fabulous!! Best I have ever eaten. May have been an off night, they appeared to be preparing for a couple large parties...
Made reservations for 7 pm on a Saturday night and when we walked the place was nearly empty. Probably should have a red flag, but I was hyped based on the reviews I saw. My wife and I had the mixed grill, a plate of mixed grilled meats. The sausages had a unique flavor that we not found of. The short ribs were charred on the outside and tough and sinewy. The char gave the meat a bitter taste. The "fajita" skirt had a unique flavor that we just weren't feeling. One of the plates was ravioli and my daughter was wowed or blown away. The last plate was a filet mignon that was ordered medium and came out medium rare and sent it back to the kitchen. After making the correction the filet mignon was good. If I go back I would be because the steaks listed on the menu are at a better than fair price. I like to try them before totaling writing this restaurant off.
We have eaten here many times before. The restaurant is a good place to meet and be able to have a conversation. The food is close to what you can get in Buenos Aires. The staff is very attentive. Some food items are done very well and others not so much. The Beef Filet (Lomo) is excellent as well as the salads. This time I ordered the long bone ribs which were disappointing, tough and dry. We will be back again and order what they are good at which includes the empanadas.
If you do not try this place you will be missing out on a terrific experience. This is a DO NOT MISS restaurant. Our post theater group of 4 was wowed! I cannot say enough good things. The Cab from Patagonia was a recommended and a pleasant surprise also.
Everything was perfect, the live saxophone, wine, food, ambience and the staff...it exceeded all of my expectations. I definitely recommend Patagonia!
Came here for wife’s bday. The empanadas were pretty good, normal, but the meat platter was outstanding. We substituted more sausages for sweet breads which we felt was a solid move. The steak and short ribs were really really good and the wine picked by the waiter was great. Definitely worth a try and I’m sure we’ll be back at some point. Wish the location was better.
The food here is always wonderful, especially the business luncheon selection. You can chose from various appetizers, 4 entree's, desserts. I had the tilapia this trip; no take home box needed...
Our waitress was Veronica. A cheerful, attentive person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was excellent.
We had never heard of this restaurant and were looking for some place new in the Memorial City/Town & Country area and I googled the area zip code and found Patagonia Grill and thought we'd try it to meet our friends. We all 4 very pleased and impressed and now this is our new favorite restaurant. Such nice and friendly staff. Our only issue would be that sometimes the live music was a it loud for us to converse with each other but LOVE, LOVE the live music. There are few, if any, restaurants that provide live music and we were so pleased that you have it and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back. Thanks for making our first visit so nice. Food was great, wait staff was friendly and accommodating, and music was wonderful. Thanks to all of you. Tried uploading our photo and it wouldn't take it. Sorry.
Wonderful meal! The service was amazing and the food was incredible. This is a great restaurant to go to no matter what your occasion!
Great food and atmosphere. I really enjoyed our meal of the mixed grill for 2 - there were 4 of us and that and 2 appetizers was plenty of food.
Great Aregentinian food in unremarkable location. Inside the decor transports you to a different world. You forget your in a shopette near a Home Depot on I-10. Food is quite good but pricey with an extensive wine list. An Aregentinian star.
The food is always great and the staff is extremely attentive. Highly recommend this spot!
.Bottles of Wines we wanted not available and when we ordered a glass only one choice available.
Overpriced for quality of food.
Coffee tasted like instant coffee. Nobody could drive bk it. Party of 6-will not return.
The food was great and we ate from the Houston Restaurant Weeks Menu. The regular menu really has some interesting items on it and we will return to try some of them in the future.
We loved Patagonia. We were so surprised to find such a lovely restaurant in a strip center. The food was really good and the service was phenomenal. We were there for HRW week but we will definitely be back.
Food was just okay. The value for the HRW was not there. Our party was still hungry after we finished our meal, but the regular menu was very expensive.
Background music was pleasant but we were on the other side of the restaurant. I am not so sure it would be pleasant if you were seated by the music.
Our waiter was good until it got crowded and then he was ok.
Overall review is ok, food nothing special and pricey.
Our entire experience was fantastic. Really enjoyed the live music. It just made the evening that more special.
