Perfect before the game
We were a party of 10. Arrived at 5:30pm for the game. Gave food request promptly. Server pleasant. BUT worst!!! service I have ever had. The drinks were wrong. The appetizers came late and also wrong. The main course took forever. And I mean we missed the opening pitch without dessert. My burger (which was good) came medium well. I ordered medium rare. The restaurant was not busy.
Although we got to the restaurant early and it was fairly empty we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Not a complicated order...all sandwiches.
Is a pleasant alternative to hot dogs st the seats but service should be improved.
Filet sandwich was excellent
Loaded fries were awesome
great food. however TV was too loud and a bit distracting.
I went there with my father to watch the Mets game and have a sit down meal at the ballpark. Food was great, service was outstanding. Food was pricy but it was at a ballpark so that was to be expected.
Food was nothing special and certainly not worth the price. Waitress was pleasant however, we waited quite a while though there were only 4 other tables occupied at the time. Waited even longer for our check to arrive so we ended up being late to the start of the game even though we were seated 2 hours before the start of the game! 4 burgers and coffee shouldn't take 2 hours
We decided to try the restaurant as Club Access came with my Tickets. The restaurant was very hard to find ( we asked 3 different Citi employees; and they could not tell me where is was or what floor it was on!) Pat LaFrieda's chop house was nice; once we found it. The Ambiance and service was very good and we did not wait long for our food. The food quality was OK; not great and very over priced ($28.50 for a steak sandwich that was mostly bread & onions) The Total Bill for lunch for 2 people was $152.00 (appetizer, entree, beverage, tax & tip) for about the same price we could have had Steaks at the Porsche club at Citi Field.
Overall save yourself the headache and price and get burger & fries at the shake shack and eat in your seat.
Great ambiance and wonderful food. Please remember that you need game tickets in order to eat there. Also you need to contact a concierge employee to give you access to the Delta Sky 360 area if you do not hold a ticket that have that advantage.
took over an hour to get our food once we ordered. Missed three innings of the game.
Quality of the food has gone down. My filet mignon steak sandwich was full of fat. Never used to be like that. Also used to get chips on the table prior to meal. Now you don't get those or even any bread.
Visited the Chop House primarily because it was convenient to our seating for the Mets game. Until a couple of years ago, my guests and I enjoyed coming here for a pre-game tradition. However, the menu (both food and beverages) is much more limited than it used to be. While the food is very good, and the service attentive and friendly, we probably would opt for the Porsche Grill because of the wider variety of choices (assuming it hasn't changed much from when it was the Acela Club), if it were not so far from our seats.
probably the best value of all pre-game dining options at Citi Field; been there several times and very consistent; consistently good; wouldn't mind seeing them change-up the menu a bit though - adding more selections would be a plus
Excellent restaurant considering it is in a baseball stadium. VERY attentive servers, creative recipes, and a nice calm place to relax before (or during) game time.
Staff is always excellent! Amazing service. Food is interesting and delicious...well planned out. I eat here often before Mets games.
There just doesn't seem to be any reason to have to charge $26 for a hamburger. That restaurant should be full every single game and for the most part, what I have seen, is that is more empty than it should be. I believe that has to do with the complete lack of value. I've been going to that restaurant since Citifield opened and It seems that they have never quite gotten the service and value down. I am certain that this review will be completely disregarded. As a season ticket holder in a premium section of Citi Field I felt that I had to tell you what most people are thinking.
Made reservation for 6 PM. Arrived at 6 PM. Ordered within 5 minutes. Restaurant was not full. Our meal was not served until 7:15 Had to wolf down meal. Missed 1st 2 innings of game including a NY Me'ts home run. Ordered 2 $52 Sirloin steaks. Steaks tasted like hamburger grease. Was told by the waitress that the reason our meals were delayed was due to the fact that management wanted to cook the many hamburger orders they had first. It was then that I noticed the patrons who sat down well after us finishing their meals before ours even arrived. $200 bill. Missed the best part of game including national anthem. Never again!
Amazing value for top quality food. That steak sandwich is REALLY good. And the staff treated us like royalty. We'll be back, 110%!
Expensive... $25.00 for a hamburger (but it was delicious!)
Food is excellent. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. And when you're finished eating there's a baseball game outside...what could be better? Pricey, but all stadium food costs more than your local pizzeria. Plus it's a nice restaurant in a stadium... so do the math! So splurge and have a good time!
Very good food but it is a little overpriced but that is to be expected at a baseball game. The steaks are amazing. The meatball appetizer is excellent.
this was not a good visit. it took forever to get seated. we placed our order quickly and then waited for over 45 minutes for our food. when our entrees arrived the server realized no one had brought us our salads.at that point we canceled our salads . we ate our entrees missed 2 innings of the game and left the restaurant not happy. restaurant seemed to be very unorganized.
food is average to good...service (elizabeth, especially) was superb...place is noisy, but then it is within a baseball park...overall, just too expensive, and not enough choices for lunch
The food is very good, but the menu is not. For some reason they dropped fish from the menu. The only vegetarian option is pasta and they really treat that as as after-thought. It was not worth the price charged even after they reduced it to $18 from $26.
Just overpriced. As is most ball park food. The wedge salad is awesome. The entrees are just overpriced. $25/$30 sandwiches...........................
Great option to have when looking for fine dining at a baseball game. The food was excellent. The service spotty. Ordered apps before entree. They brought entree out 2x during our apps unable to time our entree service appropriately. Would go back.
We ate at LaFreida before Saturday's game. It is probably the best option if you don't want street food. The kale salad was delicious, the rest of the food - burger, prime rib, was good, not fabulous. My husband had the deep fried meatballs and the burger - later he had really bad g.i. problems, not sure if was from dinner or not, but he only had a cookie and coffee from the Delta club later. I'd probably give it another try, but would go earlier, dinner at 6:15 for a 7:15 game was
Food was very good but very expensive. 3 burgers and a sandwich, one appetizer and one soda was over $100.
Very good food, nice atmosphere, great drinks, service was just ok. The wait staff seemed to be annoyed that day but I'll give them a mulligan. All in all I liked it and would go back . The big downside is no view and no windows so somewhat claustrophobic but you can't beat the filet minion sandwich
Not accommodating. Restaurant was not busy yet got our burgers wrong. Had to send them back took 20 minutes to get them made right. Disappointing. Loved Acela. Staff was lovely. They made up for the abysmal meal. Overpriced.
The food was not up to expectations. The steak sandwich was chewy an too tough to eat. The bar menu was too small and not enough choices.
Awesome time before the game. Super great service and attentive staff. Food was great and will definitely be back.
A must stop for me at Citifield! Don't skip the chimichurri sauce and don't write this off as less than great because it's in ballpark.
This is a truly fine restaurant. The food is great and the waiter staff is outstanding
I enjoyed my dinner - a filet with grilled asparagus and my son's ribeye was very tasty too. The problem is the WAIT. It took way too long for the food to arrive - and that's with the place half empty, probably because of the sky-high prices. I can accept the prices - I'm used to getting ripped off price wise at the ballpark, especially by the Mets. But the wait? Unacceptable.
Love them so much, booking for tonight.
To dine before game.
We've eaten at Pat LaFrieda's-citifield several times and we're never disappointed. Meatball appetizer and rice ball appetizer are outstanding.
My kids love the chicken parm hero as the main course.
a little high priced, but given the location, its understandable.
Great eat before the game. Service is excellent, priced. Our "go to " place go see our Mets.
Awful waste of money.
I have no problem paying for good food but this was horrendous. Ordered a medium rare cowboy steak ($58), it came out rare and both me and my friend found that they poured excessive amounts of salt into our food. The servers took 15 min to approach us to get us out first drinks and then took 4 trips to get the order correct.
Will never go back!
FOOD WAS VERY SALTY!!! COULDN'T TAKE OUR RINGS OFF WHEN WE GOT HOME
