Pasticceria Bruno Ratings and Reviews
Went for brunch and was totally unimpressed! The waitress was terrible, she didn't bring me my complimentary champagne or my juice. It took 15 min to get my coffee that I had to finally ask for and the omelet my child ordered with mushrooms came without. For the price it was totally not worth it and honestly I will never go back for brunch again.
The food was the stand out , regional italian specialties not the American Italian slap red sauce on anything and call it Italian. Portions for brunch were very large and easily sharable. The pastry sampler , mmmmm. The pastry case will have you taking home some home baked treats!
There was a prix-fix Mother's Day Brunch Menu with a variety of options. We each ordered something different and it was all very tasty, well cooked and nicely served. The brunch also came with a complimentary glass of mimosa, which was very well balanced. There is also a bakery in the establishment and the aroma of the fresh baked goods was pleasant.
I met a friend/colleague for lunch and we spent a very pleasant hour and a half at Pasticceria Bruno. We both thought our pasta entrees were excellent and greatly enjoyed our meal. The service was also excellent. We were there on a quiet afternoon, so I don't know how noisy the main dining room might be in the evening, but we found our surroundings pleasant and well suited for conversation.
We went for a special occasion brunch, Everything was fine, the food was just sort of flavorless. Great sounding menu options, as I am someone who loves brunch. They also bring pastries and fruit to the table to start, and include a brunch cocktail with the meal. It's expensive, so it's nice they include the extras, but the eggs Benedict was lacking. The eggs were perfectly done, but the ham almost seemed to come out of the freezer, get a quick zap in the microwave and go on. The dish needed salt badly. Overall, the lack of flavor is why we probably won't go back.
We've been to Pasticceria Bruno's before for dinner and decided to give it a try for breakfast. It did not disappoint! Nice breakfast menu, great portions, priced well. Eggs Benedict was very enjoyable, French Toast was delicious as well. We will definitely be back. Definitely one of the better breakfast options on Staten Island!!
Warm fresh pastures, fresh fruit, fresh coffee, prosecco, and a wide assortment of fabulous, creative entrees to pick from for a fixed price. A wonderful brunch in a lovely environment. Perfectly poached eggs on the Benedict, fresh salad, polenta with short ribs and a poached egg. Can't beat this brunch.
