   I tried Pasta Trattoria for the first time a couple of weeks ago for a special birthday, and returned this week with out of town visitors. We had many kinds of ravioli and they all got rave reviews -- burrata ravioli, butternut squash ravioli, braised short rib ravioli, plus chicken picatta - everything was delish! The service was amazing. Dessert was delicious. Can't wait to return!

   We had an outstanding Mother's Day dinner at Pasta's last night. Great food, including chicken picatta and bouillabaisse with a terrific bottle of Davis Bynum Jane's Vineyard Pinot Noir. Service provided by Alexis was efficient and entertaining.

   Good overall experience! First time here & service was very friendly and efficient. Our server was great, and made a couple of nice suggestions when asked. The place was a bit noisy, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, especially if it’s a sign that the spot is popular. Food was great, and everything we ordered were delicious and well-presented.    What a dilemma! Pasta's is a great local restaurant. Count on it! Server Alexis and her team were terrific. BUT! The foursome to the right of us, seated before we arrived and due in no fault to the restaurant, were obnoxiously loud, continually used foul language and had a total disregard for fellow patrons. We weighed whether to ask to be moved or endure the behavior. Better if the manager had taken a pre-emptive action and spoken with them. But that didn't happen.

    Excellent dining experience - either for lunch or dinner. You get a nice variety of traditional and new pasta dishes as well as specialty menu items. I had the rib-eye and shrimp dish, preceded by a delicious salad and followed by chocolate and pistachio gelato. The wine selection was outstanding. I ordered the Alden Alli (Russian River) Pinot Noir which paired delightfully with my dinner. I highly recommend Pasta's Trattoria in old town Pleasanton for lunch, or an elegant dinner experience.

    The waiter was excellent and checked on us every 10 minutes to see if everything was okay. She got everything done quickly and was on top of her work. Amazing service from her. The food was very delicious and rich. Although for the value, it was a little overpriced, but still enjoyable. Would come again.

    This is exactly what we want in an Italian restaurant. Warm and inviting atmosphere, stellar service, excellent food, and a nice selection of wine. We keep coming back for the chicken parmigiana— crispy cutlets, cheesy goodness, with a side of angel hair pasta — but everything on the menu has been really good especially the braised short ribs.     The service was very bad in respect to server did not communicate with us we noticed people that were seated after us received their food before us, server did not check back to see if we needed any thing or update us on why our order was taking so long. Once we got the food it was great food was fantastic.

    My wife and I love Pastas. Always good food, great service and an enjoyable time. The prices have gone up quite a bit, which makes it more difficult to eat there more often, but still love everything else. :-)

    Mario, our server last night was attentive and delivered perfectly. Noise level a little loud at the windows, but still worth the setting. Chicken piccata is so tender. Portion size great for a big appetite, but i Love to bring home and have for breakfast. LOL

    Overall, we were pleased with our experience at Pasta Trattoria. Noise level was extremely high, however. Food was very good though it was rather expensive. Service was outstanding. The restaurant was packed and people seemed to be enjoying themselves.

    I’ve been a customer of the restaurant for more than 25 years. I generally like this restaurant a lot. I ordered Fresh Fish 3-course dinner set last night. The source of the fish dish is somewhat disappointing. Didn’t taste good at all (at least to me). Not tasty enough, too plain! Hope the restaurant would look into the recipe for this dish.

    The waitress was top notch. My friend had special dietary restrictions that were accommodated. However $29 and $35 for two pasta dishes with chicken on top I think was excessive price for lunch!

    We were seated promptly. Our server stopped by quickly, but was completely unfriendly throughout the service. I had an espresso martini, and found it overly sweet. My husband had ravioli with burrata which he enjoyed, but it was really small for a main pasta dish. I had penne alla vodka that had a filet of salmon on top. The bed of pasta was delicious. Unfortunately, I found the fish on top very bland, and a little undercooked for my preference. The restaurant looked really pretty decorated for Christmas. Overall an okay visit, but we expected better service and better food and drink for the price.
