Love the food. Great staff. One of our favorite Sister Bay restaurants!
Great food, ambiance, & service! Judy is a wonderful wait person! Hooked on the new cheesy garlic bread & chicken alfredo!
Had the reservations for several weeks. When we got to restaurant it was”closed for the season.” We received no notification from Open Table nor Pasta Vino. We contacted Open Table and were told they would give us 1000 points for the “mistake” in taking reservations for a restaurant Rabat wasn’t open but we never received the points. About 3 days later we received an emails from restaurant inviting us to their “Asian Night.” We have heard this restaurant is closing for good so someone needs to be aware of what is going on here.......
I have mostly good to say about this restaurant. The bread they stretchout with was great and the Caesar salad‘s were excellent. I had shrimp scampi which was delicious but my companion had chicken Marsala and rated it quite poorly. The drinks were good as well except they use low alcohol substitute so be aware of that. Apparently they don’t have a liquor license that allows them to serve mixed drinks unless they use the low alcohol substitute. If not for the chicken Marsala, would rate this a solid number four plus restaurant
We have been waiting for a fantastic Italian Restaurant in Door County and now found it! The food was outstanding and so worth the drive. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good meal. Be prepared to have a wait, the server did take his time, which I would have loved to have time to have a coffee afterwards but we had to leave for a play, but that was the only negative...again the food was wonderful!
Good food and service. Small place and noisy. Tables were close together. I would not recommend for quiet conversation and atmosphere. We were seated in the original dining room, the porch is larger and may have been quieter.
Great Italian food! We have been coming to this restaurant for years, even tho they have changed locations periodically. AND they take reservations, too!
Tables are a bit crowded, interferes with conversations. House salad has always been fresh and tasty with homemade dressing. Bread is delightful, fresh. I yearn for the return of Pete D’mico era variety of menu with lemomnchello shrimp and pasta. Meat balls are excellent but only 2 per plate is a disappointment from old days when 3 found the dish.
The restaurant was very quaint and homey feeling. The wait staff was very attentive. We were seated a little before our reservation time and very pleased with the service level.
We made a reservation for 5:15 on Sunday (Oct 7) so we could take advantage of the "Early Dining" menu (available from 5:00 - 5:30 pm Sunday - Thursday). When we only received the normal menu, we asked the server and she said the the special menu "was not available today." Didn't want to argue, but staff should be better informed. Food was delicious.
I would definitely return for another meal. Service was excellent, food was delicious with quite a number of options. Very good wine selections. I recommend highly.
What a hidden gem in the heart of Door County. We sat outdoors, and even in the cool weather it was lovely. I can't say enough about the food, portions perfect and the taste so yummy. We had four different dishes and each one was delightful, so full of flavor. WE intend to go back every time we are up in Door County!
We like the nice casual atmosphere. Very good food and service. One of our favorite restaurants in Door County.
Excellent food and service. One of our favorite places to eat in Door County.
Very good Italian food. Waitress was very friendly and helpful.
Fabulous food and great atmosphere. We will definitely go back.
Our first night in Door County and we wanted a good meal, a great bottle of wine and to go casually dressed. While a little difficult to locate, it was worth it! Excellent menu selections, nice wine list and attentive staff - this restaurant was just what we were looking for. Small so glad we used Open Table for a reservation. Would go again!
Excellent choice of entrees, nice service with thoroughly answered questions. Never felt rushed. Enjoyed cocktails with spaced time for entree presentation.
Soup could have been hotter. Food was good but not exceptional. Close seating areas made hearing everyone’s conversation hard to ignore.
Always a great place to dine.
The wait staff were friendly. Seating is very tight as I was literally less than two feet from another party. My wife and I spent our meal listening to this couple loudly discussing their horses and expensive vehicles. I ordered the chicken marsala which was a mistake. I am accustomed to having Italian food on Taylor Street in Chicago and this just didn't measure up. My mistake for expecting that it might. My wife enjoyed her ravioli.
This place needs a better cocktail list.brandy manhattans are a given in Wisconsin.
The manicotti here was great! What I like about this place is that you get a generous portion and it includes a soup or salad, but prices are still very reasonable! The Italian wedding soup is delicious, as is the free bread and olive oil. But I think my very favorite thing is the tiramisu for dessert. Best I've ever had. Definitely save room for it!
Had a great dinner. Seafood pasta. Lobster crab and scallops great service been there many times!
Amazing dinner! My husband and I came here unsure of what to expect as most of the food we had eaten in Door County had been mediocre. We were not disappointed. I had the short ribs and he had the sausage and peppers. We loved both of our meals. The servers were so friendly. I highly recommend the mussels in garlic for an appetizer. Absolutely delicious!
Excellent Italian meals and wine! Loved the fresh bread with the dipping oil and spices. Very nice atmosphere for a date, family gathering or celebrations.
Nice little neighborhood Italian restaurant. Excellent food, good selection of entrees. The Veal Parmigiana with spaghetti very ample portion and tender veal. Wednesday specials carafes of red or white and sangria for $15.
Went for Early Dining and had an excellent meal. Great value for the money with salad, entree and dessert. High quality food and great service.
The best chicken alfredo ever!
Early dining menu great and very reasonable! Appetizer/salad, entree, & dessert for $15.95!
First time at this restaurant. Not nearly as good as their sister restaurants. Bread was very disappointing! Caesar salad was boring! Main entree was ok. Had the scampi. The quality of the shrimp was excellent but the sauce was too thick. Maybe they need more time to work out the kinks.
Have been here many times. They have evolved into a first class Italian restaurant.
Date night choice. Neighborhood treasure. Good wine selection. Warm welcome and quick seating upon arrival. Server was prompt and friendly. Wine served almost immediately. Nice variety of menu items, all carefully selected to offer. My Chicken Marsala was scrumptious and my partner enjoyed his dinner also
Generous portion of Tiraramisu. Reasonably priced. Quiet enough for conversation and unhurried presentations.
Loved it very much. Food and service outstanding, eat here on each
Trip to Door.
A party of 6 of us. Got there right at the time of our reservation and our table was ready. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious. Definitely would go back!
Very poor service left without anything to drink. Drinks not replenished. Sangria was good. Got water near end of meal. Chicken Marsala good. Waitress unattentive and rushed.
The food and the service was just fantastic! The atmosphere was very quaint and comfortable. We will be coming back when ever we return to Sister Bay.
Pasta Vino is located in a non-flourishing shopping center off the main road in Sister Bay, so it can a little difficult to find, which is unfortunate because it delivered very good food from appetizer through dessert. We ordered mussels as an appetizer, which we might not have done had we known the dinner salads would be so large. That would have been unfortunate as the mussels were excellent and we sopped up every drop of broth with bread. There were some execution errors with the salads, as various items were not distributed equitably, but this was a minor issue. Three of us ordered pasta entrees and the pasta was fresh and al dente, and the meatballs were moist. The veal and beef tortellacci were exceptional. The fourth person in our party ordered a seafood special and devoured it. We also had desserts (e.g., chocolate cake and strawberry sorbet) which were excellent. The ambiance at Pasta Vino is average and it could benefit from updated decor. Initially, there were some service errors, as too many staff were involved in taking beverage and food orders, which led to confusion and minor delays. There also was an inordinate wait for our entrees, but frankly they were worth the wait. These issues resolved as the meal progressed. All in all, Pasta Vino delivered high quality Italian food in a comfortable setting. Staff was very friendly, but better coordination would improve service. We definitely will eat there again when we are in Door County.
Small venue that is located in an odd strip mall type setting. Food was not authentic. We heard our waitress tell a neighboring table that they do not make their own Caesar dressing. This is super odd for what is supposed to be a nicer Italian Restaurant. Chicken Marsala was bland and the Panko breading was soggy. We would not be back.
great food great service nice atmosphere very friendly best moscow mules
Our host also was our server. Great food, good portion of food, and a good price. Definitely will return on our next trip.
