Food was good as was the value. However, we could not get past how rude our server was. Not only did she ignore us after bringing the food, but we were there early enough that it was just us in the dining room aside from one other so we could hear everything she was saying about my boyfriend and I to her co-worker. They both proceeded to stare at us all night, moving from one person to the next as she gossiped and pointed at us. We asked to speak to the manager and were pacified for 15 minutes waiting for the manager who did not come until my boyfriend called the restaurant and asked for him by name. After we told him what happened he apologized and said “how do you want me to make this up to you” which just means I don’t know what you want from me. We didn’t want anything, simply for the staff behavior to be acknowledged and corrected.
Aside from this situation, the food was great. Wine selection was nice and their dessert even was great. I highly recommend their kitchen staff, whom ever was cooking that night. Just be weary of the servers.

Pasta Primavera is a neighborhood restaurant just of I-680 north of Treat. The menu is not huge which usually means that they make the limited dishes very well - and Pasta Primavera doesn’t disappoint. The Caesar salads were really good and don’t miss the bread and dipping sauce. The special was Chicken Rigitoni which was really tasty and really hot, which is good. They are only too happy to modify dishes to suit the patrons as proven by my wife ordering the seafood mixed plate over linguine with a pesto sauce - her favorite - instead of the spicy marinara sauce that it was listed with. It turned out great - they should put it on the menu that way! The other couple we were with had salmon dishes and since they are known for their seafood, the dishes looked great and from the evidence of the clean plates must have been so. The bill was very reasonable and will will certainly be going back.

We went as two couples who have been friends for over 25 years. We ordered two salads, each split between a couple. We had 4 entrees, which we shared 4 ways. And we finished with 2 desserts. We split a bottle of Pino Grigio. The salads: one was spinach (with bacon), other spinach and arugula. Both we served split on two plates. Dressing light and nice. We asked for a received extra plates on which to share our entrees. The dishes were the bread and butter dishes, a bit small, but larger plates may have overwhelmed the table. We put the entrees in the center; the waitress brought us extra spoons and forks. We had fun dividing things up. All of us agreed the best dish was the Dijon Chicken, followed closely by the Butternut Squash Ravioli. These received an A+ and an A respectively. The Veal Piccota was a strong B with a good citrus taste. But the Paella was not up to the other three dishes. The wine was good with all the dishes. Our desserts were the lemon tart (not on the menu but it seems to be there whenever we go) and the semifreddi. The tart is really nice with a tart taste that gets cut with the wiped cream. The semifreddi is espresso ice cream with wiped cream. Good but not creative. The ice cream was smooth and free of ice crystals. The waitress had fun with us. We asked for a lot and she was on the spot with good, friendly service. We have eaten there before and she thought she recognized us. After we paid, when the restaurant had slowed down, we had a bit of a conversation with her about this and that, which was nice. All in all, a good evening.

We love eating here as the food is fantastic and the staff provides outstanding service.

They serve the best seafood jambalaya and salmon dill pasta.

We felt rushed as soon as we got there... ordered cocktails and 1 beer.. the beer was served right away but the cocktails didn't come until the salad had been served... we had thought we'd have a cocktail and then order wine but we were forced to drink the cocktail with the food. The music was too peppy for fine dining and too loud where we were sitting. We asked that they turn it down some and they did. The food was good as usual but it was not a soothing pleasurable dining experience. There were no people waiting and some empty tables when we left so I don't understand the rush. We'll be back because we love the food but I wish they would slow down and think of the customer's experience instead of their own schedule.

Our go-to (meaning go to 3-4 times a month) pasta restaurant. Everything is delicious and the service is consistently excellent. Can't go wrong w/the butternut squash ravioli and this is my favorite house salad (always fresh and crisp).

We were in Walnut Creek for the weekend and had not been back to area for a few years. Food was good, service was excellent. Our only disappointment were a couple of menu items we liked were not available any longer but things change and we still enjoyed our dinners.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the past 12 years. The food is always good, and the one time I did get a pasta dish with chicken breast, the breast was very tough and dry. When I mentioned it to our waitress, she graciously took it back and gave me a new order which was superb, not only in taste but service. I do find the bar drinks somewhat pricey. The atmosphere is very tastefully done and beautiful. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

We were returning home after a 10 hour drive and thought that Pasta Primavera would hit the spot. It was a bonus that it is right next to 680 offramp going South. The food was good, the service was good. But it lost a star because on this very hot night, the air conditioning was not able to keep the place cool. We went through 2 glasses of water each! A plus was the waitress. She suggested a light dessert: the lemon bar. It was the right amount and really hit the spot!

I started going to this restaurant with my boyfriend (now my husband) in October of 2010. We were always impressed with the service, ambiance, quality of food, and the amazing bread and oil dip they give you at the beginning of the meal.
The one complaint I always had was that they never cooked my Farfale on my Chicken Piccata Al Dente. My husband explained that this may be because it is a fresh pasta so it is harder to do.
Over the past 7 years the service and quality of food, in my opinion, has continued to go down-hill. This may be simply because of my maturity being 36 years old now as apposed to 28, and having a better knowledge of high-quality cuisine.
First of all, the wine list is horrible. If you have any sort of palate for exceptional wine, you will be highly disappointed and not be able to stomach any selections on the list. The food is just mediocre.
Our waitress was an older (46-55 year old) woman. She was not inviting, she did not make us feel like our business was appreciated and she did not smile once. Our host who sat us, was very sweet and amazing! He was funny and sharp, and made us feel appreciated. I wish he had been our waiter instead.
This restaurant could definitely use a professional coming in and evaluating the situation to make them the successful place they should be.
I also remember a time a few years back, when I spoke to the owner about his "quarrel" with his cousin who owns "Primavera Ristorante" in San Ramon.
He told me of how they used to be one entity, but then fought about some menial things, and he expressed his dis-taste for his cousin very boisterously, which I also found very un-appealing and un-professional. After dining at both restaurants many times over the past 10 years, Pasta Primavera in Walnut Creek has better food and food quality, where-as Primavaera Ristorante in San Ramon has a better ambiance and service standard. Either way, I will not be visiting either location again. Not worth my time, or my money.

Waited over 30 minutes to be seated after reservation time. Manager telling host when the host was trying to get help, 10-15 behind on reservations and that was how it was. Not very professional. Other people with reservations left because of the wait. Some muttered why have reservations if not going to be honored. Had to wait for over 30 minutes for dinner, forgot to serve Cesar salad and yet it was on our bill. It took over 15 minutes to get a new bill.

We used to go here once a week 20 years ago and had not gone back. Decided to try it for old time sakes. Very disappointed.

We had a 5 o'clock reservation. They brought our sodas but forgot my husbands water. It took 25 minutes. 45 minutes later our appetizer arrived at the same time as our meal. The order was wrong and one had to be sent back. I was finished eating by the time my husbands meal arrived. Terrible service, especially considering that the restaurant wasn't even busy...

Service is horrible. We were seated for at least 10 minutes before the server checked in with us. One of our meals was wrong and it took a long time to get in the replacement meal. The server apologized and brought us free dessert but then it took another 10 minutes after we got our bill for her to come pick up our credit card. There is a manager but he just stands at the door. He could go around and check in with people, collect payments, etc. It's been a couple years since we've been there and we had written a Yelp review that basically says the same thing back then. The food is really good, but the service continues to diappoint. We won't be back any time especially soon.

Love the food and service! Bartender did not know how to make a martini! I like dry with a twist, which means so olives, but they put in olive juice, didn't realize that's why it tasted so off until I got the second one. Sent that one back too after giving up and ordering wine. But they were very willing to swap out!

I had reservations for a big group for a special occasion. I was lucky and got a parking space. Unfortunately everyone else had to park about a block away. That's the worst part about this restaurant. Once we were in we were greeted nicely and shown our table in a semi private room which was nice. The employees are very friendly. Not a big fan of the loud saxophone player who was performing 5 feet from us. We could hardly hear each other talking. The food was good and my drink was good. If not for the parking situation and the saxophone performance I would have gave it 5 stars.
