Just an excellent experience from the greeting at the door to the knock-out dessert and capuccino at the end. A thoughtful menu with one delicious surprise after the other. Allow time to think about your choices, there will be many. And novel combinations that get you thinking about wine pairings (and a fine list to choose from).
Pasta Pasta is a consistently terrific local spot. Atmosphere, service, food and beverages are top quality. The private party area provides some intimacy along with the previously mentioned attributes. This is a must when near Port Jefferson.
Every time we go to this restaurant.. it is always a fantastic meal . The staff are wonderful and accommodating .. we just keep coming back for more..pasta pasta never disappoints ..
Foood is always great, service is wonderful. One of my favorite date night places.
When you are so full, but need to keep eating because the food is that good!
Amazing food. And our server Anthony was great to us. Excellent service
Delicious meal as always. Service was timely and subtle. Only one big mouth a few tables away ruined the ambiance.
service was excellent meals were good, but mussels were overcooked. ambiance was nice.
on the way to the lavatory, kitchen could be seen- the appearance was less than satisfactory-appeared to be unkempt
Service was terrific. Very attentive wait staff. Food was fair. Entrée of veal Milanese and Parmesan encrusted Mahi Mahi was dry and not very flavorful. Bread and lobster bisque was great.
I feel the quality of the food has declined. The bread came out raw. Looked cooked on the outside, but the entire inside was wet and it was inedible. I got a pasta dish with lobster sand Shrimp and asparagus that had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The service was spot on. The atmosphere was nice. It used to be one of my favorites places but recently it has gone down. Not sure I’ll be back.
We’ve been to Pasta Pasta before and always enjoyed it, but this last visit was disappointing. Online menu as well as the menu posted ouside the restaurant had not been updated in some time, so some dishes we were planning to order were not available . The duck was a bit on the tough side and the rack of lamb, which had been ordered medium rare, was over done. The lamb was sent back, but naturally, by the time a new plate arrived, the other diners in the group were just finishing their meals. I expected better of Pasta Pasta.
The only complaint I have is the weather wasn’t good that night!
Great homemade pasta with reasonable prices.
Pleasant and warm service.
A must try..
A great place to go for dinner with family or friends. Good menu, good food and great service.
The server Reina was awful. I tried to get her attention a couple of times and when I finally succeeded, she was snappy. The food overall was okay, except for the appetizer. I ordered the coconut scallops which were way under-cooked. Perfectly cooked scallops should look opaque. Mine were completely raw in the middle. When I cut both of them to show the staff that they were raw, they sent them back to the kitchen. A few minutes later they gave me the same scallops (sliced into 2) I sent back just cooked a little longer! The pineapple "chutney" that the scallops came with was from a can! The server Reina barely apologized and continued to be snappy. At the end of the meal they us charged 20% tip for a party of 2. How outrageous! The service was the worst that I have experienced in many years, especially compared with the nice service we got for the rest of the LI restaurant week.
Always a very good meal and staff very nice! Port jefferson fun to visit as well!
Pasta Pasta has some great dishes, and some not so great. I think I picked wrong for restaurant week. I wanted fish, and it was parmesan crusted. That meant deep fried!. It was not what I planned. The other 2 courses, appetizer and dessert, were wonderful.
On the whole, this restaurant is a bit pricey, but we were celebrating a birthday and it was worth it. The prix fixe is a good value if you are looking for a complete meal with a plentiful amount of food. Service was attentive and although it tends to be a bit noisy, it was not crowded when we were there so we were able to talk comfortably. There is no resisting their signature bread...it’s fabulous!!!
DELICIOUS FOOD AND VALUE FOR RESTAURANT WEEK. ONLY COMPLAINT IS THEY SHOULD HAVE A COCKTAIL MENU AS WELL AS BEER AND WINE. I'M NOT A WINE OR BEER DRINKER.
We have visited Pasta Pasta 3 times now...one of our favorite spots in Port Jeff. The food was delicious. We were able to sit at a table by the front window which was very nice. I did feel the service was a little off this time, they seemed confused on what table ordered what when the food was brought out. But overall, a very nice dining experience.
Always great food & service. Anthony is the best waiter in Suffolk county!
Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff Village is fantastic! The food is always wonderful, it’s really pretty and cozy, and manager Anthony and his staff are friendly, lovely people. It’s a neighborhood spot that really feels like one! Many thanks for making my daughter’s special birthday dinner even more special, it was perfect!!!
Food was excellent, noise was high, service was good.
I made reservations for a Saturday night. We only waited a few minutes before our table was ready. The appetizers were excellent
We got the sampler which came with baked clams, shrimp wrapped in bacon and calamari. We also got fried mozzerella with prosciutto which was great also. As an entree i got fish with a lobster sauce over asparagus risotto which was awesome
My son enjoyed his fried ravioli and my husband liked his veal parmigiana. On our way out I noticed alot of people waiting. I would definitely make reservations.
Always a pleasure! My teenagers love this place too! They love the garlic or cheesy bread basket that comes out in the beginning, lol. Feels like you are eating healthy, even if you probably aren't:)
OUTSTANDING! OUTSTANDING! OUTSTANDING!
Pasta Pasta is an excellent restaurant. The food is terrific with a menu that has the old standbys that are true favorites and it always has some new innovative options to chose from as well. The ambiance is perfect. And the staff.... well, they go above and beyond to accommodate you and please you!
It is hands down one of my favorite top 3 restaurants on Long Island!!!!
I love Pasta Pasta!!!! I love Anthony too!!!
Pasta pasta is outstanding from the fantastic service, to the delicious food, to the warm and friendly greeting as you enter. We have been here several times and can’t wait to go back again
Food and service were great and I can't say enough about the "wasabi calamari", it was tender and not overly breaded and the sauce was just spicy/sweet enough.
Great good as usual. Nice comfortable place. Everyone very nice.
As always Pasta Pasta delivers from appetizers to dessert. I’m never disappointed. I w been ordering the same appetizer for 10+ years and it’s not even on the menu anymore. Deep fried ice cream Sunday is worth every calorie. 😀
The food, service, and atmosphere are lovely and this is a great spot in the town of Port Jefferson. The service people are warm and accommodating. The food, particularly for the prices, is very good. A wonderful spot for a nice meal in Port Jefferson!
Excellent service and great food
We visited with a party of 4 for on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately we were not able to order from the lunch or brunch menu cause we arrived at 3pm. Instead we had the mozzarella pinwheels as an appetizer which are shareable and good but a bit greasy for my taste. Our guests enjoyed the burrata. Also had the arugula and asparagus salad, margarita pizza all were good. Our guests had spaghetti with filet tips and the pasta special of the day. No complaints. Pasta Pasta is a different type of place as it is in an old house which adds some charm to your experience. They offer beer and wine and have a generous pour for wine. We will be back. It’s is kind of small so I would suggest reservations as they do. We’ll be back to try lunch and brunch in the future!
Baked clams and scallops with risotto on point. Meals were good as well. Wish i had dessert. Looked yummy! Its Lent so we all gave up sweets. Wil be back
All the food was delicious, fried ice cream not so much
Been here many times and I have never been disappointed
My husband and I were on a weekend getaway (from Oklahoma) and Pasta Pasta was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. We came for lunch the first day and enjoyed it so much that we came back for dinner the following day! The food and service were excellent and the fried ice cream (my all time favorite dessert!) was the best we have ever had! Great atmosphere! We highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return as soon as possible!
The lobster bisque is awesome.
2 out of the 3 meals were delicious as usual. I wanted to try something different, the spaghetti with filet mignon tips, mushrooms, and spinach in a gorgonzola cheese sauce. It sounded delicious but, the filet mignon was dry and tasteless probably because the tips were small pieces that were easy to over-cook. It was a disappointment but, I'm glad that I tried it. I'll be back to order my usual favorite dish, the tortelloni with 6 cheeses!
Arrived 10 minutes early on an evening when 90% of the tables were still empty. We were to be a party of three but the third still had not arrived - and they would not seat us. Doesn't make sense - now I don't get a second drink and skip the appetizer. I can understand when it is busy but a little common sense should override protocol. The food was very good and we had a good time. Our waitress was friendly and informative and talked us into dessert which was a good thing.
