Pasta Pasta Ratings and Reviews
2 of the 3 dishes were very good. Service was completely ambivalent right from the hostess to the server to the way the food was ultimately served. Hostess was chewing gum and completely dismissive in her greeting.
We come to Pasta Pasta for two favorite dishes. While 2 of 3 of the dishes were very good the attention to the customer was very lacking.
As a former restaurateur one of my golden rules was never to have a bus boy or runner from the kitchen serve the dishes. The "who gets the ABC dish" is not part of a premium dining experience.
Restaurants rely in repeat business and reputation. Be wary of the scenario that has you losing one customer at a time. Eventually it adds up.
First time my husband and I went here it was great.
This time not so much, food was ok wine was very good selection.
Waitress was a bit off hard to explain, it was the last seating at 9pm maybe she was tired.
We needed a wine glass switched out and asked the hostess if she could help us and answered with a loud "HUH"? My girlfriend had to ask "do you work here"? She said yes asked her again nevervsaw the glass after that and next time we saw her a few minutes later she was sitting off the dining room tucking it up with other employees quite loudly disturbing our meal.
I know it's the end of the night but the prices are the same no matter what time it is therefore the service food and ambiance should also be consistent,
We had the pleasure of going for dinner during Long Island Restaurant Week. The service was excellent and the food was top notch. They didn’t skimp on the special menu. I was not crazy about my entree which was pumpkin ravioli. That was just my taste buds, not the fault of the chef! My husband enjoyed his dish of rigatoni, chicken, mushrooms and prosciutto. The bread was outrageous! We even had two loaves! Our appetizers were extraordinary: calamari with a wonderful wasabi sauce and a spinach salad with apples and scallops. We shared both and enjoyed them immensely. We have been to Pasta Pasta for other special occasions and Restaurant Week was just as sumptuous!
I ate a lovely meal at Pasta Pasta with my parents. I personally did not love my entree, but I would attribute this to my own personal tastes and not the quality of the food. The appetizers I tried, the shrimp and cheese wontons and the sesame crusted calamari, were both great, and my parents both enjoyed their entrees. For dessert we tried the apple ravioli, something like that, which was amazing. The restaurant is located in the charming shopping area of Port Jefferson, and I would definitely eat here again.
Food was too greasy and over done. Fried ravioli? No good. My date had some dish that had Parmesan on top but they were literally slices of cheese rather than shredded or grated. Basically they have no idea what they’re doing there. Our bus boy asked us 3x if we were done after only 10 mins of getting our dishes which was followed by another waitress asking us again. We barely sipped our water and they kept refilling. There was no privacy during our time there. I wouldn’t go back but there aren’t many options in the area.
Pasta Pasta is one of our favorite restaurants! Every time we go, we are always very pleased with our meal, the service and the ambiance! The owner, Steve has a real gem and he continues to maintain the high quality of food! Due to his commitment, the restaurant has been around for a long time and hopefully, will continue to thrive. We LOVE PASTA PASTA!!!! :) :)
Pasta Pasta is an old faithful for us because its always consistent. Food, Service and Ambiance couldn't be better. We ate here the night we were engaged, and we also ate here the night my wife went into labor with our first child. We have many wonderful memories here!
Came here for our anniversary dinner. Last minute plans so I wasn't expecting anything. Seems like a busy Thursday night for the staff because the hostess was MIA when we got to the restaurant and on our way out. We got seated next to the kitchen which wasn't the best spot to be considering the occasion. Our waitress was running around and I noticed that she took the order of the party who came after us before she got to our table. Food was decent. I wouldn't come back anytime soon.
Pasta Pasta is just plain lovely! The staff is always super nice, and veryattentive. The food is always outstanding, delicious, and creative. The ambiance is also great...cozy nooks for date night and a larger, more open area for a group. I can't say enough about this restaurant!
Food was outstanding! Literally....Ambiance was nice.
Only minor gripe I have, is the service was almost too good, in that as soon as a portion of my water was sipped a woman came over and refilled the glass immediately. Also, the lady who took the plates away was literally standing over us, as we were provided with a table in front of the wine bar. She was harmless, but it felt a bit awkward as my wife and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary...all in all - it was a good experience...just slight room for improvement in terms of "too much" service.
Sadly disappointing. I have been going to this restaurant for at least 20 years, but it had been a while and it has gone seriously downhill. Went for lunch on Tuesday of this week to celebrate my husband's birthday on a rainy afternoon. The place was seriously understaffed for the number of diners they had. Our server, Yvonne, was working very hard, but she seemed to be the only server for the entire restaurant and service was very slow. She could not have been nicer, but she could only do so much. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth waiting for. The appetizers were uninspired and the pasta was downright bad. I have always loved this place for the location, the ambiance (lovely tables on old oak floors) and the food, but it has definitely taken a turn for the worse.
We had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night and found that we were ready to eat earlier than that. When he walked into Pasta Pasta at 5:15 the hostess was very accommodating and seated us right away. She was very helpful and we ordered a variety of appetizers which we shared among the four of us and enjoyed each and everyone of them. There were plenty of small plates etc to order (something I was not expecting). We had just had some wine on the dock so we did not order any alcohol. The waitress was totally accepting of our choice not to drink anything other than water. The service was very pleasant and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant for either a regular meal or a drop in as we had done that evening.
