Typically the way our dinner works is start with a salad and appetizer then we are ready to start the dinner, so you should expect to the dinner to last about an hour and a half. You should expect one dish of differents kinds of Pasta, Seafood and chicken.
We do accommodate larger parties as well.
Really disappointed. The noise level was too high, the service mediocre. The concept is good, but they were unable to pull it off. The food was only average, and it would have been helpful,to know what we were eating. One of our diners was vegetarian. We would get served something from the chef (we were never told what we were being served) and our friend sat plateless. Then we would watch while he ate something.....
The whole atmosphere was hectic and out of control...dirty dishes nearby, lots of plates flung onto the table...
We were served spaghetti? and it was WAY overcooked and bland. The chef should spend more time in the kitchen and less time in the front of the house.
Dessert was doubtfully made in house, a selection of bland, cloyingly sweet and forgettable.
I will not be back.
Always amazing. Tell them what you won’t eat and let the chef take it from there!
Great food and service. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you as this is the true European experience of taking your time, enjoying your food and company you are with.
Wonderful staff, very attentive. They take care of you. We weren’t expecting the pre coursed special dinner, but were pleasantly surprised by the experience.
Mike is always the best and the food is ama!!
As long as you know there is no menu and do not have a super picky eater in your group, you are in for a treat. Loved the food, the chef was gracious, we were so pleased with the meal! It was busy and glad we had reservations. There is not a ton of tables but it would have been worth the wait. Was our first time but already planning another visit!!
An absolute must for the food adventurous when visiting Seattle.
Delicious food and wine paired with it. Very relaxed dinner, don’t go if you’re in a hurry
Perhaps my favorite restaurant in Seattle! I love the uniqueness of not having a menu. Food is always delicious and we try to take out-of-town guests here every time they visit!
Absolute perfection. Don’t come here expecting a typical dining experience. If you are close minded and want a cookie cutter meal go to your neighborhood Chili’s and get the number 2. If you want an authentic Italian meal with a family vibe, rush to Pasta Freska. Now. You’re Welcome.
One of my favorite places to eat. Service is fabulous. Food is always good. Noise level quite acceptable for easy conversation.
My husband and I are visiting from Boston, the owner of the houseboat were renting suggested we try pasta freska. At first arrival we were greated by the owner who sat us quickly and offered some wine, a bottle was left on the table after a pour. The meal was preplanned and very good. We were waiting for a menue that never came. We decided to make the most of it and go with the flow. We were so happy we did. The food and hospitality we exemplary. A true dinning and food experience. We felt like we were having dinner at an old friends home. Loved the experience and wonderful memory.
Awesome meal!! Great service!!! Definitely will be back.
Restaurant Pasta Freska has a set menu which was a delightful combination of seafood, beef vegetables and pasta. The owner chose the wine, as well. We could not have enjoyed our meal more. A great meal and value.
It was a great surprise that the chef chooses what you are going to eat and you get to try 5 different Italian specialities!!!
It is a cute restaurant!
This was absolutely the best dining experience we’ve had in years!!! We went with the flow - small plates selected for each diner by the host. But the food!!! Delectable, perfectly prepared, hot and savory. The wine flowed and the desserts were delicious. Who could ask for a better prescription for a wonderful evening?! Fantastic!
A good time! Always wonderful food and a great
We went for our quarterly, ladies dinner out an had a ball. Perfect for Date night too because the staff doesn’t bother or interrupt conversation. They just bring you delicious things to eat and drink. I always love Mike’s chicken Marsala and he outdid himself with mango chicken this night too. The fish was perfect!
Pasta Freska NEVER disappoints. Not only is the food amazing, but the experience is unusual. With no menu, it allows the diners to let go and just enjoy the food and the company.
Great chef's choice menu! Worked great with a big group, they just asked for allergies and preferences and brought out tons of great food.
The noise level was so high we gave up trying to have a conversation. A warm day with windows open brought in a lot of traffic noise, but my ears hurt from the shrieking laughter of one of the diners nearby.
Any recommendation I would give would be conditional.
I've been to Pasta Freska a number of times on business, and was really excited to bring my family here while we were on vacation in Seattle. We were not disappointed! Our server was fantastic, and Chef Mike made sure that he knew what we could and couldn't eat. The weather was perfect for eating outside upstairs, and the food was just as good as I have always remembered. From the first course through dessert, amazing! I can't wait for my next trip to Seattle so that I can come eat here again. Thank you for making this dinner on our vacation so memorable.
Absolutely delicious dishes, great service, and nice ambiance. Very pricey though and there is no heads up on that which is a shame. You are served a lot of food and are given dessert without asking and are hit with a huge bill which is not fair. Because of this I will not give five stars. With that being said, this is one of my all time favorite restaurants. There is no menu, the head chef comes out and asks what you do not like and prepares dishes of his own concoctions based on that. He is pretty good and sensing what people will like. Other than the steep prices it’s well worth at least one visit. Bring money or be careful with what you order to drink.
Always a good experience and the food is the best!
Fantastic meal in a fun friendly environment.
Amazing place. No menu to choose from. The owner/chef asks for allergies then after that he just brings you several courses of what he is preparing that night. All the food was amazing.
Great family style restaurant. Delicious homemade Italian food!
Fun meal with a very friendly staff that is clearly excited to work there and serve
One of our favorite restaurants. Our almost 9 y/o daughter demanded to go there to celebrate her birthday, and once again - they delivered !
This was our second visit. This time we brought two guests and had a great time. It is an unusual concept for a restaurant and some my not be that receptive about giving up the option of selecting from a menu. This is the only restaurant I have ever attended that comes with an interview with the proprietor of your likes and dislikes. The attention and care are excellent.
Amazing! Chef Mike is the best! A chef that actually talks to you! Great food too!!
This was my second time eating at Pasta Freska and, once again, I was impressed with the outstanding and friendly service and the delicious 5 course meal. I LOVE that you don't have to choose anything from a menu and they just bring you the dishes as long as you don't have any dislikes. The surprise glass of Prosecco at the end of the meal was such a thoughtful touch - HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!
Very Italian. Five course meal at a very reasonable price. Outstanding food—don’t miss the dessert plate!
What a fantastic range of tastes! Pasta Freska was a unique experience, in that there is no menu. The waiter sat down with us and talked about our food experience, our likes and dislikes, then he poured the wine. What followed was dish after dish of flavorful, authentic Italian fare. I’ll be back, and I am recommending it to family and friends .
Excellent food, ambience and fantastic waiter!
What a fun evening. Not is the food incredible, the staff including owner are very personable making for a superfluous experience. Every unexpected plate featured was excellent. We’ll be back!
Lovely evening with friends to celebrate my birthday. The owner and servers were lovely. Many delicious courses. Could have taken 4 hours to eat and drink and talk—in true Italian fashion. Took just 3 instead. A great experience, as always!
I always try to visit here when I travel to Seattle. The best my favor place.
With all the dining options in Seattle, it’s not clear to me why anyone would ever come here. Why spend all the $$$ to not be able to choose anything you order (it’s “chef’s choice”, which only makes sense if it’s some unique gourmet place catering to adventurous eaters), eat forgettable below average food served in a visually unappealing way, and sit either in a cramped wedge indoors or an unkempt “patio” not actually set up for diners and listening to the sounds of Westlake Ave. The owner seems friendly enough but the serving and wait staff doesn’t speak much English. Most of all though, it’s the idea of paying real money for mystery food that also disappoints, which means we won’t be back. There’s clearly a reason the restaurant has to offer discount coupons in the mail and online to bring in fresh customers.
Our favorite place in Seattle.. Hands down
