Pasta Fever, in Boca Raton, serves delectable Italian cuisine with an emphasis on hearty pasta dishes in its casual and friendly eatery. For an ideal start to your meal, enjoy the snail puff pastries stuffed with mushrooms, provolone and garlic and the Cleopatra salad with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and balsamic glaze. Pasta Fever's main fares, homemade pastas, are completely customizable. You choose a type of pasta, such as penne, spaghetti, fettuccini, farfalle and gnocchi and then select a dish with a sauce and its fixings. Some of these most popular dishes include Erics, with chicken, sundried tomatoes, crema and diced pepperoni, the cozy, with andouille sausage, shrimp, scallops and tomatoes and the sultana, with meatballs, artichokes and asparagus. There is also a menu devoted to ravioli varieties.
Desserts at Pasta Fever are just as welcoming, like the decadent homemade Snickers bar cheesecake.
If I didn't wait an hour just to get bread and and hour 45 for dinner it would have been spectacular
The food was amazing and my girlfriend felt the best she had . Thank goodness for friendly neighbors who waited even longer.
restaurant rules should be a free bottle of wine easily for this..I thought I was actually being given this as waitress kept filling my glass..but then I got stuck with the bill for them!
and so it is! lol :)
We have dined at Pasta Fever many times and were looking forward to going again this season. Unfortunately, ownership has changed hands, and even though they have gotten the original chef back, the owners are not supporting him with appropriate staff. In addition, the new owners are hostile to customers.
We had a confirmation from Open Table for our reservation but they claimed Open Table had not "called" them and they could not honor the reservation. They managed to find a table for us within 10 minutes, but then neglected to serve us. No one even brought a menu and we never did get bread or water. I was assertive about getting service, but the ONE server could not handle the crowd. She was understanding and tried her best but she was working against the management.
It was a terrible experience for virtually everyone in the restarurant that night. We at least got our meals although many items were poorly thrown together and others they had "run out" of such as bread! We asked for some kind of compensation for the extended wait of more than an hour for appetizers, but the owners were unwilling to make any concession. Others who had arrived before us and did not get even appetizers for two hours did leave without paying and we applauded them.
Don't go unless the ownership changes hands again. It's sad because this has been one of our favorite restaurants since it opened a few years ago.
Have been here a few times (see my past reviews) however, this place is no longer Italian, Pasta Lover. It is a French Bistro, and the food and service are outstanding. Not sure when they will get around to fixing this name thing, but I will be going back!
This is now the fourth time we been here, this time with another couple. I can't say enough good things about this small intimate place in a strip mall. First of all, forget the name (they should as well) yes, there is pasta on the menu, but that's not why we keep coming back. The food is prepared with lots of attention and detail. The menu is small with lots of daily specials that are a cut above of what you would expect. Two of us had escargot appetizer and the other 2 was French onion soup and mussels, all "extremely" delicious. Dinners were rack of lamb, shrimp dish and a chicken dish, all on the "price fix" menu that included appetizer, entrée and desert. I'm sure we'll be back!
We had eaten here several times before and enjoyed the Italian food. We came in with a party of 7 to celebrate my husband's birthday. The reservation was made through Open Table for Pasta Fever. The restaurants website said Pasta Fever and displayed the Italian food menu that we had previously enjoyed. Upon arriving, the restaurant signage said Pasta Fever and the interior looked the same. When we opened the menu that said Pasta Fever on the outside, the inside said Eric's Bistro and had a French menu. There was no Veal Parm as we had been looking forward to. We asked and were told that it had changed. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. It was a rainy night, we were a party of 7 and we weren't about to start looking for a new restaurant. The chef tried to accommodate us as best as he could, however this was not at all what we were expecting. A restaurant should make changes clear in all areas before making them. Pasta Fever misrepresented itself at our expense.
The restaurant did not serve pasta and the vegetables were frozen, what more can I say. The help and service people were very friendly.
The food was wonderful and so was the service We were surprised that the restaurant changed names but that did not deter us from going. The wait staff was very accommodating as one of my dining companions is gluten free. The shrimp were expertly prepared and the fish dishes were wonderful. We will definitely go back.
Consider changing the name because this is FINE CUISINE and not a Pasta Restaurant. The Menu has "Chef Eric's Bistro" on back. That would be a great Name.
Not a pasta place at all. Actually more of French cuisine. Small place and very nice. Food is amazing. It tastes like you are at your friends house who is a gourmet cook. Very homemade flavor. Very friendly and wonderful staff. Truly a great place to dine. Highly recommend it!
Food quality & taste had dropped drastically since our last visit. Split Pea soup was tasteless and like dishwater, other items we had served were bland. Restaurant was empty but we received 2 different emails changing our reservation from 7:00 to 7:30. Will not go back.
We have been searching for a small romantic French restaurant and we found it. They should have FRENCH MUSIC either piped in or piano and it will be the most romantic French restaurant in S. FL
Nothing ostentatious about them. Simple French Bistro
The name is only Pasta Fever on OT. It is called Eric's Bistro. Strange! No pasta on the menu at all! Luckily- there was a ravioli special( my husband is a vegetarian) Delicious Caesar salad & grilled salmon. Ravioli flavored nicel also. When we arrived, 2 people said"welcome to Pasta Fever". We don't get it. Other patrons were mixed up also & wanted pasta. Great service & food!
Change the name on OT‼️
We always enjoy going to Pasta fever.
Great value with their prix fix dinner.
A lot better than you might guess! This small intimate place will impress you with the attention that is given to the preparation and presentation of the meals. Have been back a few times now and they have been consistant. They have a nice menu and plenty of specials
The choices for the Sunset Menu are great. The food is fresh, plentiful and delicious. Just remember that it is cash only for the Sunset Dinner and you have to be there between 5-6pm. I like the chicken piccata the best but haven't tried all the entrees yet. Includes salad/soup, entree and dessert, all for $17.50 as of this review.
The food was very good, service very professional. Attitude of owner was poor. We were overcharged for meal since he would not accept the conditions of a discount coupon. he instituted additional rules which caused us to be overcharged. Would never return to this restaurant.
Good food Good service,Good value ---- The music can be too loud at times
We were surprised to find that Pasta Fever was a great restaurant. Tucked away in a small strip mall, the food is very good, nice wine, good service and an overall pleasant experience. There are price fixed menus that are great. Try the baked clams, ceasar salad, veal parmigiana...
We will definitely return.
The first two times we visited it was packed. End of summer 2013 and late fall 2013. The food was great yet both times the waiter not so much. We were craving Italian and returned last week. Made reservations as we knew it would be packed. Arrived for the 645 reservation with only one table seated in the house. Strange. The waiter was excellent. The stuffed clams appetizer was mediocre at best. I had the veal parm and while the flavor was ok, it was very tough and chewy. My partner had linguini Louie. I had tasted it in the past and it was much better in the past. I'm not sure if it was an off night (Saturday) or perhaps a different chef but we were both disappointed in the quality and flavor. I hope this is not a trend.
it was good food soup was ok but baked clam was good had chicken parmesan snapper franchise and grilled salmon all the food was enjoyable
would go back if it was closer
My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times this week with friends. This adorable little restaurant offers excellent food and service!
We had a great meal and booked Thanksgiving dinner for 26 people. Love the baked clams and pasta dishes.
I've eaten here a couple of times over the past year. The food in this chef owned restaurant is wonderful and the service is great. This place is in a small strip mall and nothing fancy. However the food is consistently delicious and I strongly recommend that you give it a try.
The restaurant is decorated in a stylish Paris-bistro décor ; the menu is an eclectic mix of French and Italian favorites. We each ordered from the Summer menu -- an appetizer, entrée, and dessert -- $25. My wife ordered the caprese salad and sole meuniere. I had the vegetable iuree and chicken parmagiana. My wife raved about the caprese -- and the puree was wonderful -- full of flavor and texture. We traded bites of our entrees -- both our entrees were excellent.
Every time we have been to pasta fever, we thoroughly enjoy it.
Always enjoy going there. The food is very good and their summer special is a gret value
Restaurant is a comfortable neighborhood place. Service was excellent. Superb waitress. Summer menu was full of variety. Will return.
Always enjoy the meal here. Pleasant surroundings and good food.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here last week. Food and service were outstanding.Delicious bread served w/ Olive oil and herbs.we both had fish. Very fresh and tasty. Desserts are to die for!
We have once again brought new guests to this delightful restaurant, as always the eveningng was enjoyable. Our friends will also return.
We love returning to this Charming little restaurant. The menu is well chosen and beautifully served.
This restaurant was more French than Italian. It is a small intimate space. Service was very fast but with an attitude at times. There was plenty food for the money. The plate all looked the same due to the accompanying pasta and mixed vegetables.
Great chef, family run restaurant, great value & excellent food!
The food is very good and the service is also good.
The food here is consistently wonderful. It's just like having a home cooked meal in an intimate dining room only the best part is that you don't have to cook it. It's also definitely better than most people's cooking. The service is also efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend it!
Our second visit in the same week. and still a wonderful dining experience. We met the Chef and Hostess (husband and wife) and were very impressed. Our only suggestion is to somehow change the name because this is a fine continental, not pasta, restaurant.
We will return very soon and bring more friends.
Staff is very accommodating, excellent service. I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it, it seems to get better every time.
Our favorite new dining find. We loved the food and charming atmosphere. We are returning with friends this wek!
Food is delicious, service is friendly and efficient. It is consistently a pleasure to dine at this restaurant. The name is misleading. I would consider the cuisine to be continental or French.
The wed site was misleading. The food was just ok. The waiter was not very good. He was not professional at all.
