If you’ve ever eaten at a family-run Italian restaurant back East, you’ll appreciate what Pasta Brioni is all about. From the second you walk in the door to this Scottsdale establishment, the management and wait staff treat you like family – in fact, it seems that there are so many regulars at Pasta Brioni that many of them may be family. Rich wood paneling and a gorgeous wood bar, white linen tables, stained glass lights and Rat Pack music playing all add to this incredibly inviting ambiance.

What a perfect evening. If I lived in the neighborhood It would be my favorite hangout. Our meals were, veal piccata, linguine chicken pesto, and Parm chicken. Everyone thought they had the best dish. We will definitely return and tell our friends.

We decided to give it another try. This was a much better experience all around and I can’t wait to go back for the wonderful house made pasta. It was served satisfyingly hot, to the tooth, not oversauced, and in a generous portion. I took my leftovers home and made a frittata for dinner the next night. Hubby had the meatball special and I had the primavera which was abundant with fresh spring vegetables. The dinner rolls were divine. This is the local place that you really want to love.

It was Friday April 7th and we made a spur of the moment decision to have a "Veal Luca Brazzi", our favorite, at Pasta Brioni. In plain language, a Luca Brazzi is the same as Veal Milanese; a veal chop smashed flat with a salad on top. When the waiter appeared, my wife ordered a vodka martini without vermouth , I ordered a Manhattan straight up and we both ordered one Luca Brazzi split between us (they are very large). When my wife's drink came, it was made with Tito's vodka which she hates. However it was her mistake for not specifying the vodka she wanted. They were understanding and took it back and returned with a Gray Goose martini made with vermouth. She said nothing more and just drank it. My Manhattan was fine.
When the veal came, it was covered heavily with salad. On further examination, we found that, in fact, under the salad were two veal cutlets. We asked the waiter where the "bone" was. He said that they had taken it out. A lie. When he finally brought the check he admitted that the veal was, in fact, two veal cutlets but added, "It's OK, they're cheaper anyway".
To sum things up. they tried to pass off veal cutlets as veal Milanese and lied about it.
Needless to say, we will never return to this restaurant !

We were asked if this was a special occasion when we arrived & said yes that 1 of our friends was celebrating his 86th birthday (& we pointed him out). We were expecting cookie, piece of cake or something with a candle so we could acknowledge his celebration however our information to you fell flat without notice!!

Pasta Brioni is our go to restaurant. Unfortunately, this visit was not as good as the
last few times we've gone. The food we ordered was not up to par with the past
meals we've had there. Either we ordered the "wrong" dishes or we didn't order
the right stuff. In any case, we were disappointed with this meal.
We'll probably be back but we won't order what we ordered this time.

Hot rolls but butter, oil not brought. Had to ask when we could catch somebody walking by. Meanwhile rolls cooled. Unfortunately because they are delicious. Food was delicious and the way the beet salad is presented was a picture.

Service was indifferent. Calamari was over cooked. The veal piccata was very good. If our waiter had spent even a moment being friendly it would have made all the difference

The portions are huge so come hungry. Prices are fair. Wine is good. The caprese salad was amazing. The chicken parmesan was so delicious. Salmon wonderful. Bread great. Friendly waiters. I hesitated to try this gem because it is stuck in the middle of a parking lot in a strip mall. But please don't let that keep you for enjoying this restuarant.

Our host and waiter, Mike, was pleasant, attentive, efficient, and gracious. It was obvious he likes where he works - and respects the venue's long history of good food and service. The food was fabulous! It always is! We've dined at Pasta Brioni since it was a small "cafe" and take-out place... The lovely, warm and inviting dining room is a great addition - and the quality of the food and service has remained its hallmark.

Definitely a Scottsdale local star... I hope it never changes into what has become typical of Scottsdale's rowdy, sports bar, "entertainment" district - and that Pasta Brioni remains a wonderful place to dine for lunch or dinner.

While visiting Arizona we have always had dinner at this restaurant, last year it was very good and the year before not so good. This year we were very disappointed with the food, but the service adequate. Will think twice about going back.

The food and service....fabulous!!!! The only downfall was that the kitchen is right by the entrance and the food counter is right there where people are walking in. Other than that, it’s a great place to eat.

We found Pasta Brioni by default. It was a last minute decision to meet some out-of-town friends for dinner and needed a 7:30-ish reservation. Hard to do in Scottsdale in February! A search on OpenTable's survey of all Scottsdale restaurants' availability in our desired time slot made us aware of Past Brioni. What a find! While we waited for the remainder of our party to arrive we sat at the bar and talked with a couple of regulars. Super nice staff and excellent food, especially the pasta, which is handmade fresh every day. I had the lobster ravioli, which was five stars all by itself. Go with confidence.

I was away from home for my birthday, but still wanted to do a birthday dinner. The food here was great and so was the service. Mike was really attentive but not overbearing as servers can sometimes be when you dine alone. If I lived in AZ I would visit Bioni regularly.
