The first table in the booth was rocking back and forth. We asked the server if he could fix it. After he tried and couldn’t, we moved to another booth.
Server was nice in the beginning and then we did not see him again after he brought our orders. Even though we were eating, other people kept repeatedly coming by during the meal asking if we were done and if they could clear the plates. One did so while my friend was actually putting food in her mouth and with her entree still on her plate. Later the manager came by asking the same questions. The last time, he asked if my friend was done with her dish and she said yes. He took it and then dropped off the check and walked away. I was able to catch his attention a little while later and said that we were not done with our meal and that he hadn’t offered us coffee or dessert. I also told him that we felt like we were being rushed by he and his staff. He said that he was very busy and short handed, somewhat apologized and then brought us coffee. Immediately after he put the coffee down, I asked him for a spoon but he had already run off again. After a few more minutes, we caught the eye of a busboy and he brought us a spoon.
I always tip 30% and have great respect for the hard work these servers do to make the patrons’s dinner experience pleasurable. It pained me last night to even give them a 10% tip. I was embarrassed and apologized to my friend whom I have not seen in a long time. This restaurant was not what I expected from the reviews and I would never recommend it to anyone. Food? Not great. Pasta was mushy from being overcooked.
Sat outside and had a very pleasant experience. Food and service were good.
Probably the best italian food in Phoenix!! They will make or adjust anything you want that is Italian.
The pasta e fagioli was as good as my mothers.
Great Italian food in Scottsdale. Veal picatta my favorite. Small back room for quiet area. Great service, good prices.
Had a reservation and stood at the front for 10 minutes until a waiter finally asked me if we had been attended to. Food was ok but to expansive for what it is and thew waite staff was terrible. I always tip 20% but not at this place.
Pasta was overcooked. Spaghetti noodles are very thick so overcooking resulted in thick paste with thin sauce. Two of my items were wrong and the server acted like it was my fault. We have been here before, but probably not again
As usual everything was great! This is a local gem.
Once you walk in, you forget that the restaurant is in a strip mall and are transported by the charm. Very attentive servers, delicious and scratch-made pastas and sauces, seasonal focused specials, and reasonable prices for the food quality/quantity. I would definitely recommend!
Pasta Brioni is a solid neighbourhood restaurant with good comfort food. Servings (as in most American restaurants) are generous and tasty. Prices are moderate. It's a good place to go if you want a decent meal without being too challenged.
Nice place with great service and food. My wife and I enjoyed pasta on National Pasta Day. We will frequent Pasta Brioni more often than National Pasta Day.
the eggplant parmesean was good enough, but not spectacular. But the sauce on the pasta had no flavor at all. literally just tasted like tomatos, with no garlic/basil/oregano. and my husbands chicken was rubbery. the wine and the ceasar salad we had, was delightful and the service was great.
Excellent service and meal was outstanding! Perfect for families & evening dinner
Great food and excellent service!
Perfect atmosphere and a good place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, date night and to gather friends and family.
Exceptional food options to choose from. There is something for everyone.
We will definitely return! We highly recommend Pasta Brioni as a go to place that is sure to please your palate. You’re guaranteed to leave with a full belly and a big smile on your face!
My wife and I visited this fine Italian eatery on a recommendation from a local patron in Scottsdale. The atmosphere is awesome, and the service and food is 5 star all the way. The salads are fresh and the taste is exceptional. The lasagna is one of the best we've ever experienced, and was large enough to share. After our amazing dinner we indulged in a slice of pumpkin cheesecake, which was quite the nightcap to a perfect evening at Pasta Brioni. I would highly encourage a visit to satisfy your craving for the best Italian
cuisine in Scottsdale.
Best Italian in the valley hands down! Food is interesting and plentiful!
We have a couple of nice family memories over the years of this neighborhood spot. We had not been in so very long.... Restaurant Week gave us the incentive to return. This is a lovely old school Italian dining room and separate bar. I remembered low lights, but on the evening we were there it seemed too bright. Not obtrusive, just not part of the experience I recalled. No music, we wondered where the croons of Dean and Frank were. Finally as we were finishing up it came on, amazing how much music can make the difference! We had a cozy booth for easy conversation. Our server, Will, was friendly, funny and attentive. He made us feel at home like a regular. Chewy bread reminiscent of pizza dough started us out. opted for oil and balsamic versus the honey rosemary butter...two sweet for the moment. We shared a decent bottle of Malbec and moved on to the dinner offerings. Crisp tasty caesar salad. My veal with prosciutto, eggplant and mozzarella was a change of pace. It actually tasted better on the lunch reheat (the secret joy of leftover Italian). Housemade pasta and a light red sauce was also very tasty. Partner enjoyed the seafood and pasta. Our friend shared his light and delicious Eggplant Parmesan. My dessert was another fond throwback. A fluffy cheesecake with a slight raspberry glaze. Flourless chocolate cake with enough to take home! We were all impressed and content.
It had been quite some time since we had visited Pasta Brioni's since it's not in our immediate neighborhood but as always it was worth the drive. We had a reservation, we were seated right away. our waiter Will was very friendly and attentive. It was restaurant week and the menu was quite varied. Our food was very good and I even had to get a to go box for my entree. I can't find anything wrong with our experience.
Scottsdale's hidden treasure! The food, the service, the ambiance of the "newer" dining area! All first class. My friends and I will return often.
Loved the food , waiter was awesome. Would go again
Long time Scottsdale favorite!
Excellent food.Authenic East Coast Italian......Very Good service...
Nice ambiance. Good vibe...
I had not been to Pasta Brookes for a few years & decided to try it again for restaurant week. We had the caress salad for the first course and it was very good and fresh. I ordered the veal sorrentino for my entree. The veal was sauteed nicely with a thin slice of eggplant and topped with mozzarella. Unfortunately, it was very bland with no flavor. The cheesecake was a basic style and was adequate. Years ago, I remember the food tasting much, much better but not now.
This is home away from home. Our favorite spot for everything. Amazing food, amazing service , amazing people.
Disappointing. Fish had no flavor. Most likely it was frozen. Rolls at a Italian restaurant, I don’t think so. Extra for different pasta for a side dish. Service was good!! Could have more craft beers.
Once again we had a productive business lunch near our office.
Great time celebrating my wife’s birthday. Service and food were amazing.
Really impressed with the quality and variety of Italian food. Nice ambience and great service.
First class service with delicious authentic Italian recipes. Wonderful experience all around.
Our first time there and had a great time. The food was delicious and Happy Hour drinks satisfying. Very personable service.
I understand from friends in Illinois there maybe a Park Ridge connection. We will inquire the next time we are in.
Eggplant Parm was great as were the meatballs.
Had not been ina few years, as I did not have a great experience before. Food was ok, chefs don’t know their pastas. Service, not so good. I probably will not be back after giving them a second chance. Too many other and better Italian restaurants to spend my money .
Great Italian food and always consistent. One of my favorite restaurants.
The pizza was very good! We had a handicapped client who the staff accommodated and was very helpful. Good to note is that this establishment is handicap friendly.
Enjoyed the food. I had Veal Saltimboca and it was excellent. My Perfect Manhattan cocktail was mixed perfectly. Very enjoyable evening
We had a wonderful meal, and enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere
Authentic old school Italian. I had the veal parmigiana which wasn't on the music. Amazing, tender, and fabulous. Their take on Tiramisu was the best I ever had. Thanks to Evan who made our experience memorable.
Food was just ok. Saturday night and only 3 tables there.
Great food and great service. Our server was able take our order with no paper and got everything right, very impressive!
Don't let the strip mall locatlion fool you ... this is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Scottsdale. It's cozy and the food is fantastic! Tender veal, probably the BEST eggplant parmesan I've ever had -- thinly sliced eggplant layered with ricotta and topped with mozzerella and a yummy marinara sauce. Been here numerous times over the years and never had a bad dish or poor service. It's a little slice of Italian heaven!
I have been going here for 22 years and it is still as great as ever. Excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices.
Excellent waiter, BRIAN and terrific food!
I have been coming to Pasta Brione for at least 20 years & have always enjoyed the food. Their service is outstanding with friendly waiters who know the menu & can make good suggestions. Michael is in the lounge now but as you can imagine he is just one of many that have made my dining experience great.
