Pasta Brioni Ratings and Reviews
I was away from home for my birthday, but still wanted to do a birthday dinner. The food here was great and so was the service. Mike was really attentive but not overbearing as servers can sometimes be when you dine alone. If I lived in AZ I would visit Bioni regularly.
We wanted to love our dinner at this long time favorite Scottsdale restaurant, but tonight was not the night. Our entrees were delivered lukewarm after our waiter came to our table 4 times apologizing for the delay. My husband’s veal chop’s cheese had begun to contract and the sauce had lost its luster. My ravioli carbonara was not carbonara in any sense of the word, but rather ravioli filled with something impossible to identify (didn’t look like peas or bacon) and over sauced with bechamel, not tossed with egg and cheeses as one would expect. It was a lukewarm sea of an off white mess. Two entrees, one small salad, and one drink for $85 (before gratuity) places Pasta Brioni in the poor value category; add very mediocre food and service...we won’t be back. It is the kind of place one would want to love; but hey, this is Scottsdale and we have lots to choose from.
We have a long history with Brioni and this time was a little disappointing. We love the atmosphere, but the food and service was not as good as usual and we were there very early for dinner. Maybe it was just an off night - we'll definitely be back. They make the best meatballs of anywhere I've tried!
We went to Pasta Brioni adter finding this gem on Open Table. It was a Saturday night and we expected a lot of places to be booked. We are new to the Scottsdale area and aren’t familiar with all the restaurants yet. After looking at the reviews we made a reservation. The food was wonderful! I had the beet salad and lamb chop feature with risotto. My husband had the chopped salad and spaghetti with meatballs(the pasta is made there). We could not have been more pleased. They have a good wine list by the bottle and excellent desserts as well. We will definitely be back.
First time in, but it’s close to home. Initial impression was good (though a bit bright for 7pm). Was seated promptly, but it took awhile to figure out who our server was, and who the helpers were, or for us to get someone to talk to us rather than just walk by (the latter was common through the meal). Food was good, calamari was chewy but everything else I’d order again. The manager took our appetizer order as our sever never asked us. We never ended up ordering entrees, mainly because we were never asked. When I go out to eat I like the whole experience, and a personable, attentive server is something that can make or break a return visit for me. Service throughout the restaurant, I noticed, was filled with fly-by “how are things?” amongst the silent passing-by’s. Manager seemed to be doing the work from host, to Busser, to server... they’re lucky to have someone that cares. I’d suggest that servers get to know their customers. I’ll be back soon to try an entree (love the daily entree specials)
I have eaten here many, many times. We have celebrated important events with many friends and family. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. I guess every restaurant has an off night. Unfortunately for me, it was the other night.
I almost didn't complain about my overdone lamb chops- I asked for medium rare and received nearly medium well which was quite grey by the time I gave up waiting. The waiter insisted he would get replacements made up quickly. As my husband and friends completely finished their meals...I got tired of waiting and captured the waiter saying...take this off our check. It was embarrassing to watch everyone enjoy an obviously delicious meal while I just waited and waited for something suitable to eat. Eventually...I gave the waiter 'the look' and he ran into the kitchen- I'm guessing someone forgot to even start my lamb chops. He came out to say they'd be out soon and since everyone at the table was done- I just told him to forget it.
Stick with the pastas and Italian specialties...
Consistently good! They just keep doing it right. Service is friendly and attentive without interfering. This is not a place where you'll struggle to find one good choice on the menu; there are many and you'll be challenged to select from many appealing options. Salads, pastas, meats, drinks... not a single blemish.
We love Pasta Brioni.........we go there for all our special occasions. The atmosphere.....the staff, the food........everything about it is warm and welcoming. My husband is now in a wheelchair and they are extremely accommodating. The food is incredible. The staff is exceptional. We've told friends and taken friends.
This place is an absolute hidden gem our server was amazing the food was 100 percent spot on. The patrons were very friendly as well. We would gladly return. One of the patrons beside us was a 20 year customer this speaks volumes in my mind over any possible review.
first time visit, I have eaten Pasta Brioni at catered parties. While overall most was good, the chicken gorgonzola was a bit ordinary. Our server was either stoned or just not very smart or both. Really slow on drinks, water refill never happened, had to place our entire order twice, the second time he decided to write it down. Disappointing due to service. He did not know the menu too well either. Food or drinks.
Wonderful food. The entree was one of the specials for the night - Chicken Picasso. It was a thin slice of chicken covered with a slice of eggplant , roasted red pepper , asparagus and top with mozzarella cheese. It was great. The other entree was Veal With mushrooms and Marsala Sauce. That also was great and is a classic We always make it a must when we are in the area.
Everything in the new dining room was perfect! It is so, so nice to have a restaurant dining room that doesn't have TVs booming, a rowdy bar in the dining room, and all glass walls. It is private, great for a business luncheon or dinner, lunch or dinner with a friend, and even for romantic dining. I'm just hoping that when the lounge indoor/outdoor area open for business, the noise won't carry over into the new dining room!
