Meals were well prepared seasoned perfect. Many restaurants use way too much salt.. not her. The calimari appetizer set the tone… perfect cooked not breaded light flour with a wondeful sauce . Scallops were prepared perfect and the wine list was wide ranging and not overpriced. If in Paciific Grove and you like well prepared seafood. This is the place. One could have an actual conversation over dinner . waitstaff was informative about the option, attentive but not intrusive and did not rush guests. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

The food was very good, although appetizer/starter portions were very small. Entrées were expensive, but ample. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is comfortable.

All was very good. Very crowded when we got there so had to wait 15 minutes for our table with reservations, but we did not mind. We shared calamari, crab salad and mud pie The three of us all had an entree and they were all great. We also shared a very good bottle of white wine and still left very satisfied and full. Even with a lot of people, the service was great. They adapt to your level of speed and we were in no hurry while other tables wanted faster service and seemed to get it. Will definitely go there again!

Unfortunately more stars would have been awarded for more attentive service. Our server was distracted by a demanding couple: talkative, with dietary restrictions. We waited ~20 minutes after receiving Dessert menu to get check. Actually declined dessert to recover lost time. The impact extended beyond us. Many folks were waiting for tables when we left. I’m sure we’ll return, and you’ll be back on track.
