All in all the food was good . I will return
I'm giving the restaurant two stars because the sangria was very good and my friends liked the calamari. The other three stars were not earned by the service... Long story short I made a reservation, it was my birthday, they sat us at a table in the front. The food took forever to come out (main course over an hour). We even waited 10 minutes for menus. We'd finished our drinks, with no waiter coming over to ask if we wanted more. It looked short staffed. Here's where it gets bad.... Our main courses finally arrived, two minutes into eating the hostess comes over and asks if we mind moving our table... a large party was coming in. As if we had a choice??! Also, there were plenty of other empty tables when we arrived, why seat us somewhere you're going to need for a reservation. It was awkward, she said they were waiting on us... meanwhile, the service was super slow... it wasn't like we were just sitting there. We moved to a different table, nothing was said to us about any form of compensation. When my friend asked, the waiter said he'd give us free dessert. I have a business and customer service background... this was handled horribly. Never once did the manager/owner come over to apologize or check on us. When we left we were not thanked. There's so many restaurants on Long Island. Customer service goes a long way... I'd rather patronize a restaurant with good service.
Everything was delicious and service was outstanding! Celebrated birthdays with a group of friends. They did not rush us and we had a great evening. Look forward to returning.
Abbreviated menu but you could still order from the regular menu
Large enough portion for take home
Will be back
Have eaten there a number of times - never disappointed. The food and service are always outstanding.
This is one of our go-to’s for Sunday family dinner. Love it.
We have been to Passione several times and we were not as pleased with our dinner as we have been in the past. My husband ordered the Alla Mama and thought the noodles appeared "wet." I had the Bronx Tale Veal. It was just ok. I kind of picked at the meal to find the meat. The noodles were not very tasty as well. I was slightly disappointed this visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. Our waiter Moses was excellent and the other staff were friendly. The linguine and clams was excellent but we wished the clams were meatier inside. The chicken francaise and baked clams oreganato were also excellent. Downside was the noise level. We dined at 6 pm and there were many noisy children. Our first table was in the traffic path of the kitchen and entrance, but they moved us without an issue.
Great as always!
Disappointing. I have dined a few times but the food was very mediocre, drinks incorrectly filled. All of us were less than thrilled. Sorry!!
Took a large group and provided additional appetizers. Dinner took 45 minutes to get on the table. We weren’t hungry but wanted to get back to our hotel.
The restaurant is set in a strip mall with other restaurants and stores. Not the likely place for a great restaurant.
The menu is vast, while the wine list is small but has very decent inexpensive wines of good value and quality.
The menu has so many selections of Italian food, anyone can find a few choices.
The appetizer we had was the trio. Excellent meatball, eggplant rolletini and a rice ball. Two different sauces for the three items. The marinara sauce is insane!! A perfect blend of acid and sweetness of the tomatoes with good size chunks of tomato to bite into.
My wife had a chicken and shiitake mushroom dish over broccoli rabe that was perfectly presented and the cloves of garlic were wonderful to bite into
I had the best veal parmigiana I’ve had in years! A huge chop pounded, not to a tissue, but just the right amount of meat per bite that you can cut with a fork. The burrata mozzarella on top with their marinara sauce made this dish wonderful.
The focaccia bread served at start with a small dish of ricotta and garlic/oil was delicious. They have a pizza place attached to the restaurant. I’m sure their pizza is also devine.
This is a place I definitely will return to AND bring friends and family.
Great food as usual, I love this place. Always extra friendly. And I always eat too much, because the food is so good.
Food and service were fantastic. Have been there numerous times and we always enjoy our dinner there. It can be loud so it’s best going in a group rather than a date night.
Great food and service as always!
We had great time having lunch there. The food are excellent. The booth was perfect for my son. The service was great.
this place was amazing, food was wonderful, and drinks was perfect. definitly have hit new top favorite places to eat
Awesome, fun, great food!
Love this place. We will be back!!!
We’ve been coming here since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and service.
Asked waiter for recommendation of best seafood plate - he pointed out the most expensive item on the menu (Naples Seafood Pasta). I went with it and was underwhelmed. Dish has very very little seafood, a few of the clams weren’t opened and needed to be discarded and it was expensive. My wife had a pasta dish and it was good.
Emilio is the best
Great restaurant never dissappointed
This is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in the area that I live. We started off with the Fried Calamari appetizer which was delicious and was surprised to be given some meatball appetizer on the house which also was delicious. I tried the Baby clams & shrimp with the Risotto this time, changing from my favorite Bronx tale veal and was extremely happy with this choice as I usually order the same dish most of the time but wanted to try something different. My significant other had the Lasagne as always and was very happy with her choice.
Passione is an amazing Italian restaurant with an incredible Italian menu. Food is always beyond expectation and superb. Cocktails are great too.
The food is excellent and the service was great. Everyone is very friendly
The calamari was crispy & delicious for our appetizer. Our main course was delicious also. The service was excellent!! Have eaten here many times and food and service was extremely good 😘
Food very good and aromas when you walk I smelled like home cooking
The food was excellent, the hostess was friendly. Just waited too long between each course. With a party of three, we spent two and half hour there which was not expected. Towards the end, the scope of ice cream did not come for over 30mins. But having the corner booth made the wait seemed shorter.
Made an online reservation for my husbands birthday I arrived 10mins early And was told the kitchen was closed and they turned us away
Lovely restaurant with plenty of old world charm. The owner/manager?? Is quite charming and the hostess is very sweet and attentive. The waitress was a bit of an air head constantly apologizing for everything including bringing the menus. The rice balls and chopped house salad were delicious! My balsamic chicken was wonderful not overly tart. The burnt broccoli was way to oily and not burnt enough and my boyfriend's stack of veal Milanese was just 'ok". I would certainly give it another try though!!!
I have been to the restaurant several times the food and the service have always been excellent this last time our service was noot good the table sat at did not have bread plates for everyone when appetizers came they did not give us plates so we had to use our napkins or our bread plate when our dinner came only 4 of us got our food seems they forgot to put in the 5 order then was told they would give us a half of glass of wine to person whosevorder they forget not even a full glass but that person was not even drinking wine. Had to ask several times to get a cherry coke for one of the guess. The food as always was delicious
Second time eating here will be my new favorite spot food was great service was great we really enjoyed our evening will be bringing the family back
Wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, good food. Seated immediately, we took our time ordering, and were not rushed out the door. Perfect for a night out with friends.
We have been to Passione Della Cucina many times and have never been disappointed. The food is amazingly good and the service is excellent.
Sat in a booth near front door which was loud. Service was timely but forgot to bring a side order. Upset that purchase of alcohol at the bar was nearly 25% more than the same items ordered at the table.
Good food was had by all from apps to main course
Truly one of Long Islands gems. Since discovering this restaurant a few years ago have made it a point of dining there when in the area.
When I first started dining here it was amazing. Today's meal was good but not the same as before. The host said we could sit wherever we wanted no menus were brought over. Buratta salad was good so was fried calamari. My gluten free pasta Napolitano was good but not the same. Same with the spumoni. My partners snapper was good. I just expected consistent excellent service from this place. They fell short.
Excellent food great service
It seems to have lost something. Not as good as usual
Overall it was OK
Place which was usually hopping was very slow
