Passione never disappoints! Everything was excellent as always especially the food: abundant, hot and delicious.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Large selection of meals including healthy options. We were there on an early Saturday evening, not noisy nor overly busy. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a place to return to.
Everyone was pleasant from the minute I walked I until the minute I left. I arrived first of a party of five and waited at the bar where I was instantly given a warm greeting. Our server, Moses, was great, giving us a good combination of attention and “privacy”. The food was EXCELLENT and portions huge.
The food is delicious and abundant. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly.
I would recommend the food but I have been there twice and I don't know whether it's the service or the kitchen but we waited 45 minutes for appetizers and although we did get a free appetizer from the manager because we waited so long that's not what we were looking for the dining experience shouldn't come with a heavy dose of wait an hour before you see food
Food was good, nice atmosphere. Lots of large tables for family or friends.
I've been here many times before, and have always had a great meal (food review below); however, the service I received this time was just awful. Our waiter stated that he was fairly new, and we were totally fine with that, we've had new servers at plenty of places. But this guy was just all over the place. When I ordered a Hendricks and tonic, he asked me what Hendricks was. He knew NOTHING about the menu, he tried to clear our apps like three times before we were done, he couldn't comprehend how to split the check with two credit cards, even though we told him exactly what to do. We waited a REALLY long time just to get our check, and even longer for him to return with our receipts. We seriously would have been out of there 20 minutes earlier if it wasn't for that nonsense.
Again, I appreciate being new, but many establishments make sure that employees are "ready" before putting servers on their own. This guy clearly wasn't ready. You should know that Hendrick's is gin, and at least have half a clue about what's on the menu.
The food was delicious as always though. We ordered the burrata and Buffalo cauliflower for apps. The burrata was creamy and the tomatoes were fresh. The cauliflower was perfectly crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a nice level of spice. One friend had the limoncello fettuccine with shrimp, and it was delightful. Another friend had the veggie pappardelle, which I think was the best meal out of all of them! I had homemade ravioli in a truffle butter sauce. The ravioli was really smooth and creamy, the pasta was well made, but I think the butter sauce could have used a little more truffle. I don't know if I would order that dish again, but it certainly wasn't a disappointment. I'm sure that I'll return here again, I just hope to get a better server next time.
Excellent food and service
We enjoyed Passions twice over the last 3 weeks, with two different couples. Our relatives share homes in the Italy and NY...loved the restaurant. My wife’s sister in law, commented, “Best Italian restaurant I have enjoyed in the states.” We visited Passions during theweek and enjoyed selections from their “Specials Menu.” Our next visit, this past weekend was with close friends that dine out often. They absolutely loved their dish selections. The ambiance on Mother’s Day eve was most enjoyable. The food was great, but our waiter Sean was absolutely wonderful! We would highly recommend Passions to all!
It is a shame, the food was very good. Service really poor. Had to ask several times for our drinks and place settings, never got water. Tried to rush us out, one in our party was still eating and the waiter tried to take her plate away and give us the bill. We wanted desert and cappuccinos but was told only one person made them and they were really busy so we couldn't have them, but coffee was fine.
Great place for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Food was outstanding. We will be back!
The menu was extensive and interesting. My wife and I were there on the Saturday night before Mother's Day and the service was not up to speed. We'll have to try again on an average night.
Food was excellent but service lacked the finesse there was last visit. Was there the night before Mother's day and there were several misses in attention to details which I attribute to the very busy night. Otherwise, I love this restaurant and the food they serve. Would highly recommend.
Excellent service. .great ambiance!
Accommodating, did not have to wait until my party arrive. The waiter answered our questions satisfactory.
Excellent meal and great service. I enjoyed the Skinny Girl dish with spaghetti squash, crispy grilled chicken and other vegetables. My husband had crispy grilled salmon with potato wedges and sautéed spinach. Very delicious food! Can’t wait to go back.
All in all the food was good . I will return
I'm giving the restaurant two stars because the sangria was very good and my friends liked the calamari. The other three stars were not earned by the service... Long story short I made a reservation, it was my birthday, they sat us at a table in the front. The food took forever to come out (main course over an hour). We even waited 10 minutes for menus. We'd finished our drinks, with no waiter coming over to ask if we wanted more. It looked short staffed. Here's where it gets bad.... Our main courses finally arrived, two minutes into eating the hostess comes over and asks if we mind moving our table... a large party was coming in. As if we had a choice??! Also, there were plenty of other empty tables when we arrived, why seat us somewhere you're going to need for a reservation. It was awkward, she said they were waiting on us... meanwhile, the service was super slow... it wasn't like we were just sitting there. We moved to a different table, nothing was said to us about any form of compensation. When my friend asked, the waiter said he'd give us free dessert. I have a business and customer service background... this was handled horribly. Never once did the manager/owner come over to apologize or check on us. When we left we were not thanked. There's so many restaurants on Long Island. Customer service goes a long way... I'd rather patronize a restaurant with good service.
The rice balls and stuffed claims were OK. The chicken scarpariello was tasty. The veal parm was nothing special and the special lasagna turned out to be a pizza with meatballs. Our group was a bit disappointed. Our table was very comfortable and service was excellent.
Everything was delicious and service was outstanding! Celebrated birthdays with a group of friends. They did not rush us and we had a great evening. Look forward to returning.
Abbreviated menu but you could still order from the regular menu
Large enough portion for take home
Will be back
Have eaten there a number of times - never disappointed. The food and service are always outstanding.
This is one of our go-to’s for Sunday family dinner. Love it.
We have been to Passione several times and we were not as pleased with our dinner as we have been in the past. My husband ordered the Alla Mama and thought the noodles appeared "wet." I had the Bronx Tale Veal. It was just ok. I kind of picked at the meal to find the meat. The noodles were not very tasty as well. I was slightly disappointed this visit.
We thoroughly enjoyed dinner here. Our waiter Moses was excellent and the other staff were friendly. The linguine and clams was excellent but we wished the clams were meatier inside. The chicken francaise and baked clams oreganato were also excellent. Downside was the noise level. We dined at 6 pm and there were many noisy children. Our first table was in the traffic path of the kitchen and entrance, but they moved us without an issue.
Great as always!
Disappointing. I have dined a few times but the food was very mediocre, drinks incorrectly filled. All of us were less than thrilled. Sorry!!
Took a large group and provided additional appetizers. Dinner took 45 minutes to get on the table. We weren’t hungry but wanted to get back to our hotel.
The restaurant is set in a strip mall with other restaurants and stores. Not the likely place for a great restaurant.
The menu is vast, while the wine list is small but has very decent inexpensive wines of good value and quality.
The menu has so many selections of Italian food, anyone can find a few choices.
The appetizer we had was the trio. Excellent meatball, eggplant rolletini and a rice ball. Two different sauces for the three items. The marinara sauce is insane!! A perfect blend of acid and sweetness of the tomatoes with good size chunks of tomato to bite into.
My wife had a chicken and shiitake mushroom dish over broccoli rabe that was perfectly presented and the cloves of garlic were wonderful to bite into
I had the best veal parmigiana I’ve had in years! A huge chop pounded, not to a tissue, but just the right amount of meat per bite that you can cut with a fork. The burrata mozzarella on top with their marinara sauce made this dish wonderful.
The focaccia bread served at start with a small dish of ricotta and garlic/oil was delicious. They have a pizza place attached to the restaurant. I’m sure their pizza is also devine.
This is a place I definitely will return to AND bring friends and family.
Great food as usual, I love this place. Always extra friendly. And I always eat too much, because the food is so good.
Food and service were fantastic. Have been there numerous times and we always enjoy our dinner there. It can be loud so it’s best going in a group rather than a date night.
Great food and service as always!
We had great time having lunch there. The food are excellent. The booth was perfect for my son. The service was great.
this place was amazing, food was wonderful, and drinks was perfect. definitly have hit new top favorite places to eat
Awesome, fun, great food!
Love this place. We will be back!!!
We’ve been coming here since it opened and have always enjoyed the food and service.
Asked waiter for recommendation of best seafood plate - he pointed out the most expensive item on the menu (Naples Seafood Pasta). I went with it and was underwhelmed. Dish has very very little seafood, a few of the clams weren’t opened and needed to be discarded and it was expensive. My wife had a pasta dish and it was good.
Emilio is the best
Great restaurant never dissappointed
