My friend and I spent 4 days in Greenville and without a doubt our favorite restaurant for food and ambiance was Passerelle Bistro. After dining at Husk the evening before, and paying substantially more (which we don't mind if it's worth it), we were so happy to return here for the 2nd time. We had lunch our first day and ended with a wonderful brunch when we departed on Sunday. Chris, our wait person, was super friendly and accommodating. The tuna salad croissant, which they make fresh in-house, was outstanding. The omelets and salads were also excellent. If we're ever back in Greenville, we'll go back for sure!
I'm not from Greenville, but I certainly make a point to go to Passerelle each time I come to town. The location next to the park and bridge is beautiful. Good people watching on the weekend. Try the croque monsieur!
A favorite of ours, and a credit to Greenville. Set in Falls Park, the Bistro serves classic French cooking with flavors that are hard to match. Our mussels and escargot appetizers were near perfect. Two of us had the fish, and two had chicken. All four dishes were perfectly thought out and served. You need to go to see what this chef’s magic can do.
My husband and I travel to Europe and this is almost exactly like a small cafe on a side street in France. We loved everything about our dinner! I had the beet salad and mussels. My husband had the lamb shank!
The dinner was very good. The quality of food was very good. We enjoyed our meal. Server forgot my drink but she brought me a drink on the house so that was handled very well. They brought my husband complimentary dessert for his birthday that was nice. It was a dead night so we had the inside restaurant to ourselves, and very quiet. The inside is fun with cafe lighting. We would try this place again. The menu was interesting with other things we would like to try.
Because outside seating was full, we ate inside and still we enjoyed our Saturday lunch salade niçoise, croque monsieur and 2 omelet specials of the day. I like Passerelle very much, especially because of the location/view.
Loved the place!!!! The mussels were superb!! I had a filet and it was cooked perfect. Great night out!!!
Nice atmosphere. Incredible staff. Location was hard to find based on the instructions on the website. We were restaurant hopping so we only had the charcuterie appetizer & it was superb.
We had a very pleasant Valentines dinner and the food was excellent.
Menu could offer more selections, not much variety
Excellent beet salad, great wine choices at a fair price and interesting entree choices. Been to South of France many times and this place similar to the bistros I visited there. Suggest more seafood dishes, however.
Met a friend for brunch. Food and service were very good.
We went to Passerelle for our Anniversary. Everything about the evening was wonderful. Fabulous food. Attentive staff. Great wine. We will definitely go back when we visit this lovely town again.
Very loud. Didn’t do very well in regards to incorporating French style foods and taste. The ambience was mediocre. Waitresses were GREAT. Couldn’t ask more for them. My food came out lukewarm. Creme Brûlée was excellent, needed a little warmth too it tho. Fish was adequate but once again, the French style taste was not there. To claim it is a French Restaurant is not the smartest thing to do. It’s more of an over priced American restaurant. Once again though, servers were excellent.
The food was very good, especially the trout, but the highlight was the people. From the host/ hostess to the servers and even the chefs, who pitched in. Everyone was gracious, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the experience very enjoyable. Thanks to all of you.
Good meal. The coconut cake for dessert was wonderful.
Santiago, our server, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Our pre theatre dinner was perfect in every way. We were welcomed promptly and our special request honored. The food is always exceptional and we were very pleased with the mussels and trout Passerelle has become one of our favorite spots in Greenville!
Great atmosphere and the food was fantastic.
The mussels for appetizer was very good and for the main course the seared trout was even better. Don’t forget the lemon brûlée for dessert
Everything about our visit was just "OK." and nothing to write home about. I think we will return once the weather improves and the outdoor seating is fully opened. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and although the muscles are always good, the other items we had were bland. The choice of music playing (modern rock/pop) and the basketball game on the tv really through off the ambiance I was hoping for on a date to a French restaurant.
My wife and I went to dinner as part of restaurant week and did the 3 course special. We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. It is really overly average. We stated with the Cheese platter and the Cheeses were good but he Baguette was very thinly sliced and had to be a day old. We then went in the apps of the Beet Salad which was good and the Mussels we just Meh. No flavor in the broth and the Mussels were not the best quality. For our main course I had the Trout which was fresh and cooked perfectly but they so over did the béarnaise sauce on the vegetables and over cooked the capers to make them as hard as Pepper corns. It wreck a very nicely cooked piece of fish. My wife had the Vegetarian entree and it again was not well executed. Dessert we had the lemon creme brûlée and I had the apple Tartin. These were very forgettable desserts. They were understaffed and not very attentive to service. They were giving us New utensils for our main and just dropped them in the table without clearing the other utensils from our apps. Overall, way too many other options in Greenville than to bother going back.
I had an absolutely great dinner from the restaurant week menu with excellent service. Our table was very near two other tables but it wasn't noisy and I could not hear their conversation and I don't think they could hear mine. The mussels were especially great and as were the escargot and the crème brulee. My dinner companion had never been there and was very happy with the meal.
Ate here for brunch on a Saturday. It was nice outside so we took advantage of the outdoor seating. The drinks were pretty good and the food was also pretty good. I got a Niçoise salad which was delicious. I’d go back!
It was restaurant week so it was busy. Maranda was making drinks and taking orders. She did a great job. 3 of us had the tasting menu which was fantastic. 3 ordered from the menu. It was noisy because the restaurant was full. Restaurant week is a great way to try restaurants.
Lovely dinner celebrating family visiting. The best escargot in town! Mussels also were amazing and a meal in themselves, great for sharing. Trout was so tender and flavorful. Beef bourguignon was also delicious. We were lucky enough to get a table during restaurant week with 3 courses , a great value.
My husband and I had a wonderful lunch at this lovely location on a beautiful day. Confusion about Greenville Restaurant Week was handled nicely by the staff. From the GRW site I had made reservations through Open Table for 1:30 thinking this would qualify for the special. It did not but staff handled it well. I love mussels and theirs were the best I'd ever had. My husband ordered the escargot which were wonderful. He also enjoyed his tuna. The cheese plate was good but would have been nicer if the cheeses had been identified. The staff were very nice but spread thin between the several dining areas.
Excellent French food, pleasant surroundings and good service at a reasonable price.
I brought my mother here for brunch on a Sunday. She is a former French teacher and I thought it would be fun for her. We are new to the area and have been trying out various places. Our table was right by the kitchen and the wait staff congregated there to have extended conversations. It was just distracting and a bit noisy. But while one of the young men who delivered food was up there he was picking his nose, flicking it, and then carrying plates out to tables. It just kind of grossed us out. My mom loved her French toast so the visit was overall very successful but not what I had hoped. I brought my mother here for brunch on a Sunday. My favorite restaurant in Greenville. Always excellent food and service.
We dined inside due to the weather. However, this is a place that you want to eat outside as it has a fantastic view.....
What a pleasant evening at this delicious restaurant. This was my first time dining here and I thought it was very good. The brussel sprout soup was excellent. So were the scallops and escargot. The beet salad was good. After that, i wanted to try more, but we were too full. Will definitely be back.
Second time here, and was as good as our first visit. We will return when we go back to Greenville in the future.
This was a very standard French experince. Our guests were not accustomed to this type of dining. The beet salad, crusty bread and mussels were phenomenal. The steak frites were very chewy (also very French) were not popular!
The wine was awesome!! We will come back!
Delicious food served by a very attentive staff. I’ve eaten here different times. The service and food has always been excellent. I look forward to the next time!!
Quality of the food has gone down since they first opened.
I would NOT recommend the charcuterie, it was incredibly sparse and the meats tasted as though they came from a Costco package.
Wonderful meal! Oh, the fabulous beet salad! Most excellent in every way!
This was a fantastic meal and simply outstanding service. We will not hesitate to return.
Great bistro atmosphere along the river. Despite being cold outside, the restaurant was warm and thriving. Good we very good - steak special was super. Shrimp appetizer was awesome. Would definitely come back when in town again, and hope for warm weather to enjoy the outdoor space along the river.
Love the intimate informality, just like in France & caring professional staff.
The absolute best chicken dish I’ve had anywhere! The Bethel Trails Farm Chicken was so fresh and you could taste the difference! Cooked to perfection!
Exellent quality food, cheap prices, waterfront/waterfall view, what more can one ask for? They sure beat our expectations by a country mile and would most definitely be back!
