Pasha Land had two padlocks on the doors and was closed despite Open Table confirming my reservation and continuing to post availability of reservations. Also, Pasha Land was listed as a recommended local favorite dining establishment on the same day as I made the reservation even though it was no longer open. It was very disappointing to arrive at the restaurant and find it closed!
I made my reservation, but when we arrived the place was closed!
The appetizers of eggplant and hummus was outstanding. The Moroccan dishes were disappointing, even though they cannot serve the food in a Tagine it lacked the Moroccan spices and the combination of ingredients that you find in Morocco.
Love this place. The food is fantastic and they have a belly dancer on Friday and Saturday
A hidden authentic Moroccan gem of a restaurant in the suburb of Maryland. This place has everything including the decors, music, belly dancers, specially poured mint tea Moroccan style and kind owner who comes by to talk to you. The lamb dishes here are delicious and inexpensive. A nice place for an exotic dining with your special guests.
Great experience, delicious food, excellent service.
We enjoyed our meal very much. We each had lamb that was cooked perfectly and we were pleasantly surprised by the Moroccan red wine that we had with our meal!
I would recommend Pasha Land to anyone who's looking for a great atmosphere and delicious dessert. The almond creme cake is to die for!
Food was delicious, owner was kind and present, and there was live music and a belly dancer! The prices were very reasonable which is good because there are a lot more dishes I want to try there.
One of our favorites; this quaint restaurant is traditionally decorated (not tacky). Live music and belly dancing (frequently). The Food is fantastic (my wife is Moroccan; and I we are tough critics). Family owned and ran; Ahmed Zouine (owner) and his wife and kids are warm, inviting, fun and informative. They frequently make amazing pastry specials which are 100% authentic, 1000% delicious. Please please support this family owned small business. They cater large events as well...would make a great company catered event or an amazing wedding catering service.
Top notch; you will agree. Visit and enjoy!
On a Thursday night our group of four were among only a few diners, so noise was nearly non-existent and service was impeccable. Two of us had lamb chops, one had lamb cous-cous, and the other chicken kabob. All were wonderful, as were the humi chicken, humi lamb, and lentil soup. The taste of cardamom is prominent in the cappuccino, so don't expect Starbucks. Overall, highly recommended.
Excellent food and ambience (great Moroccan live music and dance performance). Great and attentive service. Owner is also very nice.
Had a lovely dinner. Service was great. Food was exceptional, as always. Ambiance is fun. Enjoyed the music by live performers, and the belly dancer which started shortly before we left.
PashaLand is one of my son and my favorite restaurants for dinner out. The food is delicious - and well presented. There is clear pride in the dishes they do. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. Owner is very welcoming and warm.
Excellent food. Service was good, but only had one person who was waiter and bartender, so a little slow.
A really fun evening. Food was excellent, service was outstanding, and the restaurant pours a full glass of wine. The Moroccan coffee was a great after dinner treat along with the delicious Baklava.
There was entertainment that set the mood - the elder members of this family restaurant played music through most of the evening. A performance by the belly dancer is a regular Saturday night event.
The owner comes around to greet each of the patrons. The waiter was very attentive and courteous.
My wife and I enjoy this restaurant for an enjoyable date night out. We have always had a great meal here.
Food was ok; service was very slow; house wines; not much choice of wines; entertainment was good.
The owner is wonderful and was very kind to kids and members of our party with physical challenges. The food is delicious. I wish them continued success.
Great food at reasonable prices. We loved the plush seating!
Went here with a friend and our three teenagers. The food was outstanding. My one complaint is that I made a reservation on Open Table about 3 hours prior to coming. There were plenty of time slots available. When I got to the restaurant they told me that they didn't have my reservation because I made it "after 3 pm". The owner said he "told Open Table not to accept reservations after that time". Sounds like a problem between OT and the restaurant - but not my problem! He seated us anyway and there remained plenty of open tables throughout the evening.
The belly dancer is a little in-your-face aggressive. I'd definitely go back for the food but maybe at a time when there is no belly dancing!
The food is very good. The belly dancing is fun and great fun to see customers joining in.
Excellent food in a fun atmosphere. Many food options for all tastes and entertainment that brings smiles to folks of all ages.
This was our second time Pasha Land and we enjoyed it very much. The owner is from Morocco and since we had just returned from Morocco, we wanted to go to the restaurant again. We enjoyed it even more this time since we were more familiar with the Moroccan decor and of course the food.
The wait staff is excellent, the food is delicious, the live music very well done and the entire time we were there we enjoyed ourselves.
Do make reservations as they are very popular.
It was pretty early on a Thursday night, so probably quieter than normal (which was exactly what we wanted). It started to fill up as the night went on. I wasn't as impressed with the food as I thought I would be, based on the reviews. I thought it was average, maybe I ordered the wrong thing (I had chicken kebsa, which was flavorful, but the chicken had a lot of tiny bones in it and the ratio was a lot of rice to chicken). My teenager liked her kebob and was thrilled with the cheesecake at dessert!
The service was impeccable and the ambience was charming. The owner came out at the end of the meal to ask if everything went well and he was so nice and engaging. I'd go back but would try another dish next time.
Happened to be in the area and found this restaurant. A very nice experience. Family operated, friendly , nicely prepared and generously portioned food. Good wines and very good mixed drinks. All very fairly priced. The owners were clearly invested in showing us a good time. Saturday they had belly dancing and live North African music.
Friendly and personable service in a charming Moroccan style interior, with live (but not overpoweringly loud) music. Very good Moroccan stews and bastilles along with nice, compatible selection of wines.
The owner came out from the kitchen to check on us and on our meals 2 or 3 times - he is charming and has a good sense of humor. We enjoyed talking with him. We each had a different lamb dish - both were very good and good value. The portion size was large. Try Pasha Land!
We had a lovely dinner with our daughter's family. The service wasnvery good. The server was patient with our grandchildren's questions, even the one who follows a vegan diet. The food was excellent, as always. Love the authentic ambiance.
Super food. There was live music that was nice and the service was super. Portions were fair and the tastiness of the food was amazing.
This is a great restaurant that I've been to before for a birthday party. The food was great and the birthday girl got cake and a dance lesson. This time however Valentine's Day and our anniversary, didn't go as planned. We invited 10 people and raved about the food AND the affordability of the menu. When we arrived per reservations we learned of the $40/person pri-fix menu! It was very limited and hardly anything I wanted to order. It was a disappointment. The lamb chops were still good but I wish we had the chance to get the authentic menu choices. Ballet dancer was awesome and the owner as well. Will go back. But make sure call on special occasions for menu options.
Wonderful people and service and the food is fantastic! We enjoyed a special Valentines menu and can't wait to go again
We visited Pasha with a party of 10 for family birthdays. The middle east music is relaxing and the belly dancing was fantastically fun. My toddler was mesmerized and there were several small children in the audience. The owner visited us and did some magic tricks with candy for the kids in our party. One of the most fun evenings we have probably ever had as a family at a restaurant. A good time for all ages.
We went with a group for Valentine's Day. It was a great experience to share with two other couples. Food was great atmosphere was good and we will definitely back again.
We went to the restaurant with my husband for the date out. We came there at 5.30, the restaurant was empty, the waitress gave us the table for two when one partner is sitting on the coach, while another on a very uncomfortable chair. It was evident that the married couple came to have some peace time without kids. Right after a lady with 6 years old boy came and they entered them next table to us ( the restaurant was EMPTY!). Then the waitress forgot part of the order, and we were waiting for the food almost 25 minutes ( I am not talking about the meat, I am talking about hummus and salad which is supposed to be on the table immediately. We did not feel that the restaurant staff tried to make our visit comfortable. The food was okey, it was fresh and cooked from the scratch which is nice. But we will not return to this restaurant anymore. We are not welcomed there.
The food, ambience and belly dancing were a blast, however the service was very very slow. It took 30 minutes for appetizers to be served and another 45 minutes for dinner to come. We kept asking for a dessert menu but that also took 20 more minutes to come. What made it especially frustrating was this restaurant is pretty small and had at least five waiters but it still took forever to get service. Overall I would definitely eat here again, but order everything at once to save on time!
We come here often for the chicken bastilla and home made hummus.
Above average food. Flavorful and well presented. Small place with one room. Visited a couple of times and service was slow. Each time there was an apology from the owner and explanation why. We'll be back.
Our first visit to Pasha Land was a bit disappointing. Although we were the only aprons in the restaurant the service was both slow and inattentive. The lunch menu is rather limited, especially in the appetizers -- four kinds of hummus but not much else. There were some soup, salad, and sandwich options. The falafel sandwich had wonderful falafel, but the pita bread was dry and crumbly. The Moroccan soup that had was rather bland in taste, not much in the way of herbs or seasonings, but it was hot and good for a cold winter's day. My companion's salad was fresh and fairly substantial.
I would be interested in seeing how the dinner menu differs; hopefully there are many more options and better service.
The decor is quite Moroccan, and while a small confine, inviting to the eyes.
Hopefully they do more business than what we experienced on our visit.
Food is wonderful, aromatic with wonderful flavor. Lots of vegetarian selections. Lentil soup is warming on a cool evening and the vegetable bastilla was tangy with a bit of sweetness.
The food was decent but the service was subpar. It seemed that there weren't enough servers working. After we ordered our drinks, it took about 15 minutes for the waitress to say that they didn't have the ingredients to make a martini. I ordered one of the special drinks off their menu that had champagne in it. The champagne was obviously flat and the drink tastes terrible. The music was so loud, I could barely hear my husband speaking and the belly dancer was intrusive, not to mention that her very long hair was swinging around plates of food which seemed unsanitary.
