Paseo Grill Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated my birthday with my husband and another couple. We called ahead to say we were running late and were told it wouldn't be a problem. We arrived 15 minutes late. The hostess greeted us with a warm welcome and immediately sat us at our table. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. This has been our go to spot for special occasions over the past 5 years. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something unique in an upcoming area.
I had not been here in years. The food was divine, service felt very special and the atmosphere was cozy. Great for a date. I had the surf and turf, steak & scallop was cooked perfectly. My hubs had oyesters and a Caesar salad. Next time we will get the surf & turf for 2.
My wife and I love this place, so we decided to treat my brother and sister-in-law to dinner for New Years Eve. We started with the shrimp cocktail and the charcuterie platter. (I probably spelled that wrong! lol) Anyway, they were both fantastic!!
My wife ordered the filet, medium rare. She thought it was cooked perfectly. My sister-in-law order the same, only she likes hers medium well. My brother got the elk, which was a NYE special. It was amazing! I ordered the NYE surf & turf, which consisted of two small filets, a lobster tail, and a crab cake, along with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The lobster was melt-in-your-mouth great! The crab cake was probably the best I've ever eaten. The steak was great, as usual.
We did share a couple of desserts - the cheesecake and key lime pie, which is to die for!
We love Paseo Grill and were happy to share it with others. The only thing that we weren't happy about, was the fact that it was really drafty where we were seated. My wife kept her coat on her legs, and my sister-in-law and I never took ours off.
As always, Paseo Grill delivers with great food in a great atmosphere (love the tables with privacy curtains). The service was decent, but not great. I think our waiter decided that since we were not having drinks that we didn't deserve as much attention as the table around us. The filet was excellent but a bit underseasoned. I'd go back, and I'd recommend to friends for a romantic dinner date.
We loved the ambiance of this restaurant, with the gauzy dark curtains surrounding each table. However, we were not happy that on a cold evening, we were seated at a table next to the front door, despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty on our arrival and we had reservations. Still, we enjoyed our appetizer (hummus with pita) and entrees (hubby had the meatloaf, which he raved about and I had the vegetable moussaka, which was very tasty). Portion sizes were large and prices were reasonable. We also got a kick out of the pair of reading glasses that were left on each table: cute touch! We would definitely return.
I really love Paseo Grill. The cream of mushroom soup is out of this world. It tastes so fresh. It keeps me coming back. I also really like their Happy Hour menu. This is why my sister and I chose to come at 5:00 PM, to sample the Happy Hour menu. (We thought we would get 1000 points for dining at 5:00 PM on Thursday, but we did not. I do not know why we did not receive the 1000 points. I did modify the reservation, as we decided to dine on Thursday, instead of Friday, or maybe it was some other reason that I cannot figure out.) anyway, the Grilled Oysters for $2 are delicious, as are the Pan-Seared Sea Scallops ($6). I had the oysters and scallops before when my husband and I came for our anniversary. The only problem this time was there seemed to be a few traces of sand (grit) in two of the three scallops I had, however, it did not really detract from the meal.
We will be back again as I have already reserved a table for us in February.
Outstanding service. Courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and timely. Excellent cocktails.
The food was good. Sea bass was excellent, the duck was very good, but the elk was overcooked, making it a bit burned/tough. The pumpkin side dish with the elk was excellent. The manager did take half off the price for the elk. We will be back.
A Birthday lunch for my daughter. I made a reservation and we were seated at the worst table in the place. Tiny table in the far back corner. Table was just big enough for one. Service was average. My soup was good. The crab cake appetizer was over priced and not good. Can buy better quality at Uptown Grocery. Overall very disappointed.
Combined birthday dinner and anniversary dinner. Staff was excellent. Service was excellent. Ambiance was excellent. Dinner was excellent. Actually, the food was exceptional. The wait was a little long, but well worth it. The food was simply the most memorable part of the experience. Unbelievably good.
We went to Paseo Grill for my wife's birthday and were very pleased. The ambience is a perfect alternative to the crowded, noisy restaurants that are so common today. Booths at Paseo Grill are shaded with sheer curtains and the winding layout lets you feel private without being too blocked off.
The dinner menu isn't long, but her Salmon dish and my steak filet were perfectly prepared. Out waitress Emily was helpful without being intrusive. And the bartender personally delivered a new drink when my wife thought hers was too tart. The manager came by our table to make sure we were happy.
Since Paseo Grill has been around for years, some may assume it isn't hip anymore. They couldn't be more wrong. This is what we should all want in restaurants -- great food, attentive service and an atmosphere that allows us to actually talk to each other.
I hadn't heard of Paseo Grill but on my last visit to OKC I took some friends to dinner, and this was their suggestion. Good for them! Wonderful steaks and seafood, an interesting "speakeasy" atmosphere and attentive servers made it a very nice evening. I'll be back!
Paseo Grill is one of my favorites in OKC!
John is always a well-versed waiter. Enjoyed a small date with the meatloaf -out of this world comfort food. If you want impeccable service, finest fresh fish, unique wines. Then Paseo Grill is the place. Definitely use Open table.
