Food and service were excellent. Their BBQ sauce is VERY spicy. Don't take the Green Trolley there. It takes forever....be sure to drive, take a taxi, or Uber
We had such a good meal at Pascal Manales. I tried bbq shrimp for the first time and loved them. Our waitress Christy was very attentive. Such a fine old New Orleans tradition.
Always a very nice experience and the food is always delicious!
Was in NOLA for a wedding, hadn't been to Pascal's since 1975, but remembered it being a great place, with incredible food. So, 40 years later, I wasn't disappointed ! Great atmosphere, incredible food, and our waiter, Eric, was the BEST !
We we expecting more. The BBQ shrimp was slightly over cooked and not as exciting as everyone who recommended it stated. Everyone has different tastes..... This just wasn't our thing.
a classic, great for family meals or client dinners and for guests from out of town
Wonderful service and delicious food. Soft shell crab with 5 barbecue shrimp was excellent!
Louie is the BEST!
New Orleans tradition that has great BBQ Shrimp and many other top notch menu selections.
Pascal Manale’s is always a special experience. The food is just outstanding. The barbecue shrimp is unique and very special and always delicious. The service the staff and the team are top notch and all about good customer service. This is the place to go back again and again. Thank you Pascal Manale’s
Very nice old school new orleans family reataurant. Dinning room is dated but thebfood was fantastic
I had heard this is the place for the original BBQ shrimp, and my husband was ready for some original New Orleans flavor. We were not disappointed. We dined here for lunch. My BBQ shrimp and grits was excellent (shrimp are peeled and deveined), cooked to perfection. My husband had the red beans and rice with sausage. He loved every bite. We will f course had bread pudding for dessert and thought it was delicious. The service was superb. The staff were attentive and cordial. We enjoyed the location being in the lovely and quiet Garden District away from the noisy crowd of the French Quarter.
We walked into this very inviting bar attach to the Resturant. It had great atmosphere. Seated immediately despite long line of walk-ins. This dining room was well decorated but not cozy like the bar. Service was prompt maybe felt a little pushed to move evening. Crab cakes were very dark brown and not as good as other NOLA Resturants. I had red fish with etouffe and asparagus. The people watching was great
Enjoyed the experience!
Unfortunately bbq shrimp was mushy. Sent back twice.
Everything was wonderful! Barbecue Shrimp sandwich is a must, sauce is to die for, butter and black pepper. Our waitress, Wendy, was exceptional! Great experience overall!
The bbq shrimp was as always wonderful, never disappoints. Would recommend
One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Every time I am in New Orleans this is a must stop. Do Not miss it if you are visiting NOLA. This restaurant has been in the same spot for 105 years and I have been going there for 25 of them. I am sure that all their food is good, but I order the same thing every time, crab and shrimp salad, BBQ shrimp, and bread pudding.
Our friends told us about Pascal's, so we expected good things. It was very good. I hope I have friends that I can also recommend it to. It was in an unsavory part of town, but after Katrina, the area has greatly improved.
I met up with a colleague and her family for dinner. I went there on a recommendation from my parents’ friend. I was told to order the bbq shrimp, because that is what the restaurant is known for. The wine and bbq shrimp were delicious.
Excellent dining and evening.....except for the French bread which lacks texture, crust and flavor of true French bread.
Pascal's Manale was recommended to us by a local as a great place to go outside of the French Quarter. They were particularly known for their unique spin on BBQ shrimp. Being soft shell crab season, I was struggling choosing between crab and shrimp. As it happens, one of the specials on our visit was a full soft shell crab topped with a generous portion of their BBQ shrimp. IT WAS AMAZING. The BBQ "sauce" is really a rich roux like concoction of which you will order more bread to sop up every drop! We also had turtle soup, gumbo, the wedge and house salad and oysters two ways - all of which were outstanding. Wine prices by the bottle were very reasonable. Tip of the hat to the owner and crew!
Once one of our favorite places but no more. BBQ shrimp was over done and tasteless. Out of the six of us dining, none of us had a good meal. Won't be going back.
This place never fails to serve a wonderous repast.
Well worth the drive from anywhere especially to get out of the Quarter.
Great service and great food. This NOLA landmark is worth your time!
Absolutely, a wonderful experience as always! Outstanding service and the food was fabulous. Don’t miss going to dine here, every opportunity you have.
Shrimp wasn't up to par but they handled it well and our experience has always been great so we will be back again
The bbq shrimp is exceptional. It’s a loud dining room but it’s a small price to pay for said exceptional bbq shrimp. I don’t live in Nola so it’s hard to say I will go back anytime soon, but if I’m visiting and I have the time, I will go back.
I have been dining at Pascal’s for over 15 years and when I am within 4 hours of the restaurant I will make an extra trip to dine here. Worth the drive and the food always awesome. Bread pudding best anywhere in the country and the bbq shrimp is the best. The oyster bar is fantastic and a great spot to meet new people.
Still great after all these years. Great food and good service
Everything about Pascal’s Manale is superb! From the glorious raw oysters (happy hour prices!!) to the fabulous dinners, you can’t go wrong planning a visit here!
The food at Pascal’s never disappoints. The oysters, gumbo and bread pudding are the best anywhere!
We.LOVE.This.Place. We are from Houston and were in New Orleans visiting two Tulane. I've been coming here for over 35 years! It's always so so good! My son tried the turtle soup and loved it! We always get the BBQ shrimp! The service is always impeccable!
We had a 7o’clovk reservation ;however we arrived a little early and found s place at the bar to enjoy a cocktail. The bartender was rude and unfriendly . The dining experience was great. Service was excellent. The food was authentic and tasty. A bit noisy for a date night but all in all was a good dining experience. Will go back.
Food was excellent. Best raw oyster in town. Great seafood. Great pasta. Very good service.
Great neighborhood restaurant. Packed and loud but good food and good service. Our go to place arrival day in New Orleans.
This restaurant came highly recommended by several people and it did not disappoint. BBQ shrimp was amazing, dipping their fresh flaky bread in the sauce is so good! Walk up oyster bar where they shuck in front of you is part of the charm of the bar. Definitely would come back.
This place is always a favorite. The BBQ shrimp are amazing but we love the pasta and meatballs and pasta Alfredo. Our kids love it. We love it. A must visit when in Nola.
Food was better than expected given previous experiences. Wife enjoyed oyster rocker fella and turtle soup. Surprisingly she thought the soup was as good as Commanders which is the gold standard. My blackened drum with crawfish topping was outstanding. The waitress did not know her menu and did not correctly describe the specials. The dinning room is drab, but has a nice view through the large window.
Returning to New Orleans for regular visits to our old home town, Pascal Manales is always on the restaurant list. BBQ shrimp is unique and the best in the country. Be warned, it is spicy-swimming in butter, messy as you peel and eat large sized shrimp - heads on.
