This neighborhood restaurant is vintage New Orleans, from the service to the decor. The oyster bar always manned by a friendly shucker. The oysters are fresh, salty and delicious.
The old time oyster bar and cocktail bar offers raw oysters on the half shell and all types of cocktails. We offer fine seafood, Italian specialties and delicious steaks.

One of our favorites! Great lunch specials. Always good.
Great place! Loved the food.
Server was nice, but forgot an appetizer we ordered, delivered after our main course.
We had a party of four. Every person enjoyed every dish.
This restaurant treats every patron as a guest.
Service is professional.
Timing of service was excellent.
The dishes are not ostentatious but are cooked to showcase local cuisine at the highest level.
Great food, the crab cakes are amazing! The staff was on it. If you get a chance to go here, I recommend it.
Mike did an amazing job taking care of us. Mike’s food and wine recommendations were spot on. The food and dining experience was so great! When we walked in Thomas was shucking oysters and he was so much fun to talk too. Highly recommend!!!
Never disappointed. Great food and service everyrime
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant has consistently delivered these elements. The waitstaff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. It is always a pleasant experience.
Excellent as expected with service by kitty! Turtle soup back to great as was bread!
The food was delicious and as good as I had remembered from years ago. The service was excellent and friendly. The room was quiet and the lunch was at a leisurely pace so we could enjoy each course. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Food, service, waiter and atmosphere were fabulous. Waiter and his staff did a great job, made fine recommendations and handled special requests beautifully. We had a wonderful evening and cant wait to go back. Pascal's Manale rocks!
The waiter was so nice and helpful when ordering. He was honest as well.
(1) Outstanding food. Among the best of New Orleans.
(2) Excellent, courteous and attentive service.
(3) Nice ambiance. Feel comfortable and at home.
Thomas truly is the World’s Greatest Shucker!
Love this place! You have to go ! Old New Orleans at its best!
Great experience with Jason providing excellent service
Still Terrific. The BBQ shrimp seemed less spicy (a little less pepper and Worcestershire sauce?) but still great. Oysters Bienville are wonderful and the marinara is fabulous.
Some things should never change! Don't ask "where do you want to go", rather, "what do you want to eat", and if it's BBQ Shrimp in New Orleans...Pascal's Manale is the answer. The wine list and the bread pudding are also special.
Food was great. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Cain our server was a lot of fun and kept us smiling and laughing the whole time. Even the pecan pie was good, but the bread pudding is the best.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance!
Plenty of parking on site with security.
We had a lovely evening! Food and service was very good. It did get a bit noisy in the middle of dinner when the room filled up.
As always, delicious! The chef specials always exceed expectations.
Best shrimp and grits in the South, and I just ate at multiple places in Charleston and Savannah.
Creole Italian restaurant with long history in New Orleans, creators of famous New Orleans style "BBQ" shrimp with stand-up oyster bar. Really cool, classic place with good food and service. We enjoyed the Combination Pan Roast (oysters, shrimp and scallops casserole) for an appetizer, and had BBQ and Striped Bass as our dinner entrees -- everything was great, service was leisurely but attentive and appropriate. Overall a great meal.
So fun to watch the man open serve oysters. We had a wonderful date night there!
This restaurant is much too loud - the clientele were all drunk and yelling at one another - food is good - but do not, do not - I repeat do not go on a busy night - seriously -the drunken yahoo clientele were louder than a rock concert
The food and service were terrific, however the tables of revelers in the room made conversation very difficult. My ears felt like I had gone to a concert afterwards. I don’t recommend going on a weekend night.
Always a great experience and wonderful seafood. Fresh oysters prepared multiple ways (my favorite is raw at the oyster bar), great fish specials, and of course, the BBQ shrimp. Service and ambience is old school New Orleans which is always a pleasure and the staff ensures you have a wonderful experience.
The food was outstanding and Louie who served us is the best. Start with the combination remoulade and fresh oysters on the half shell. My wife's favorite is the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and my favorite is the fish grilled with crabmeat in a butter sauce (have to ask for it this way). Great value and a true New Orleans experience.
Wow! Our trip was the fourth generation of family to eat at this institution and it could not have been a better experience. The BBQ shrimp were a standout especially when you pair the the sauce with perfect crunchy French bread. Pillowy lasagne, perfect fresh fish, and bread pudding to sing about. Restaurants like this are an American treasure. It was wonderful to see it packed and hopping again after the last year. I've not eaten better at the some of the best restaurants of Rome, London, or Paris.
Food might have been better than pre-COVID-19, if that’s possible.
How could sautéed soft shell crab with jumbo lump atop all with a lemon butter sauce not be superb? Oh, and preceded by a dozen St. Bernard oysters and a Stoli martini at the oyster bar.
Great, waiter was excellent. Wonderful place.
I ordered BBQ shrimp unpeeled and they were delicious. Several people ordered them peeled and it was clear that they were not just fresh made and then peeled.
The peeled shrimp were way over cooked, They had shrunk from sitting too long and they were clearly way over cooked.
You should not serve them this way if you are not going to make them fresh and peel right before serving as it is your signature dish and it is your reputation on the line.
People at our table were convinced that the already peeled shrimp were just frozen shrimp. I didn’t agree, but they did look completely different and when I insisted they taste mine, they were even more convinced that they were not the same shrimp.
Do yourself and your reputation a favor, if someone isn’t willing to get a little messy by peeling their own shrimp. Insist they order something else.
Food was amazing. Waiter had a great sense of humor, and was on point. Will definitely be back!
Known for their barbecue shrimp- not as good as I remember ... but the veal Marsala was incredible and the oysters Burnsville excellent!
the food was mediocre at best, the interior needs updating, the server was glib and using old bar pickup lines on what he assumed were single women. Much ado about nothing.
Nice table in corner. Service saw we were meeting and were subtle in approach and timing.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant in the Garden District. Very warm and professional service, excellent food, especially the barbecued oysters! Very noisy, but energetic.
