This neighborhood restaurant is vintage New Orleans, from the service to the decor. The oyster bar always manned by a friendly shucker. The oysters are fresh, salty and delicious.
The old time oyster bar and cocktail bar offers raw oysters on the half shell and all types of cocktails. We offer fine seafood, Italian specialties and delicious steaks.
We go here frequently and have never had anything less than an amazing experience. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. A staple in New Orleans.
Left after eating mediocre appetizers. Way too noisy!! Seated next to swinging service door. Food being served to tables around us looked totally unappetizing.
Been going for years every visit to Nee Orleans. This is traditional New Orleans and what it’s all anout
Wendy did a great job as our waitress
Thomas did a great job at the oyster bar
The Special was speckled trout which was outstanding
I was super embarrassed that the entrance and bar area really smells badly. It needs a thorough cleaning.
It smelled like a sleazy french quarter bar.
This was my 10th time over as many years. The oyster bar is always my first stop, as usual oysters chilled were good, we sat in the west dining room, the service was great, the food was just ok, I had the shrimp which held its own, others had local Cajun dishes, and Italian fare. We all hope the restaurant continues under the ownership of the family to continue a 100 year legacy
Wonderful lunch (the barbecue shrimp are divine) and James Carville was seated at the table next to us. That’s a pretty big NOLA sighting.
Food was great. I had BBQ Shrimp which was amazing as usual. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was good. We had reservations but had to wait a few minutes for our table but not too bad. Had a drink while we waited. Wonderful Evening!
We weren’t seated til nearly 8:45. The bartenders in the waiting area were overwhelmed as was the host. The server was knowledgeable and made good recommendations. A little slower to get dinner than I’d like but the food was good.
Atmosphere was pleasant with local charm. It was like going to your neighborhood bar. Dinners were ala carte. We had barbecue shrimp and grilled fish special with shrimp. Sides were expensive. We had grilled asparagus which was basically $1 per spear. The spaghetti was tossed in garlic butter and covered in green onion but wasn’t drained so it arrived in a pool of water. We started the meal with oysters which were shucked and put on counter without a plate. You just ate off the counter which was messy and didn’t look too clean.
Wonderful food and history and service. Too loud in dining room to hear the server talk about the specials.
Great food, lovely place, fantastic waiter. Highly recommended.
Wonderful Garden District neighborhood restaurant second visit in 20 years and still the highest quality. Shrimp po boy' outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Good authentic eats.
Good unique variations of classic New Orleans fare. A stand out among the many good restaurants.
Was recommended by a friend who lived in New Orleans years ago. It was probably amazing then. The place is tired looking The food was average. The service was dull. It did feel friendly New Orleans.
Amazing service and equally amazing food - the choices are traditional and always delicious
First visit. Our waiter Michael was spectacular! Food fantastic!
Let me say we are from NOLA and have been going to Pascal’s for over 33 yrs. It is one of my family’s favorite restaurants. We were celebrating my daughter’s engagement. I knew something was off when I checked in and wasn’t greeted by the hostess(no smile, just seated). We sat down and were given water and waited for our server. We waited no server. Another table was waiting like us. A manager? was talking to people at a table and turned around and could see we had no menus or drinks but he continued to talk. Finally one of the female servers came over to us and said there was a mixup and started taking care of us. When our main dishes came I was shocked. I always order the Veal Parmigiana and it is alway a large slice of veal with sauce and melted cheese on top. I was served two small patties of veal with very little sauce and one slice of cheese on each patty of veal. It was baked too long because it was very dry. It came with a side of spaghetti with sauce. The sauce was watery and flavorless.
The most disappointing thing of the night to me was the way the staff treated it’s customers. They are very proud of all the celebrities that have eaten in their restaurant, but they should be honored by every customer who walks through the door.
These guys do have the best BBQ Shrimp perhaps in the world.
I hadn’t been to Pascal’s Manale for a long time but they do have the best barbecue shrimp and bread pudding I’ve ever had. The service was good. It was a quiet night but a very enjoyable evening.
This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. It was the first one we ate at when we moved here 25 years ago and we love going there anytime we can.
The food never disappoints and the staff is always so friendly and makes such an effort to welcome you...from the wonderful security guard out front who is aware of everything going on.. to the waiters, busboys and greeters.
Seafood—especially barbecued shrimp - Italian specialties and salads are wonderful and we go back agin and again!!!
Great waiter, delicious huge shrimp. I love how they have matches.
Always a fun time. Food is excellent as well as service.
Terrible food! Not worth the price! Terrible waiter!
Delicious food in a casual atmosphere. Waiter Louie was excellent! Would definitely recommend!
Service was great. Waitress was really friendly and attentive. Two different veal dishes where tough and overcooked. Desserts (key lime pie) were really good.
I have been here a few times as it is one of my father in laws favorite restaurants. This time was the last time. The maitre d was dismissive when I got there, pushing my away until everyone got there telling me to come back around again (the waiting area was empty). I came back less than 5 minutes and he acted like he had no idea who i was. He set us in front of the bar door at a table for 2 with a party of 3, when we asked the waiter to move to another table which was available, he said its not really my job. We go at least 2x per year and hosted my husband's family there before our wedding. I was very disappointed, service was lacking and we were rarely checked on. As a local I expect more. We will not be returning.
Excellent. Food and service was very good. We had t he prix fix restaurant week menu which was an excellent value. Veal Oscar and BBQ shrimp are the best.
The whole party thought the food was exceptional and a real bargain to boot! Will definitely return even without the bargain menu. A memorable experience.
Wonderful catfish with crab meat on top and Beurre BLANC sauce
Food was very good and the service was great. I had forgotten about Manale's but will return soon.
Very good food and very good service in a nice environment. The BBQ Shrimp are always good and the crab cake fettuccine was great. We also had the caprese salad and bread pudding for dessert. Overall a very good dining experience. Highly recommend.
It was really nice
What a disappointment! We went to this restaurant years ago and just loved their BBQ Shrimp. So last week we took our friends there and all four of us ordered the BBQ Shrimp. It was horrible - the Shrimp was mushy and had no taste whatsoever. They obviously don’t make it the same way. It is supposed come with bread but we had to keep asking the waiter or busboy for bread.
Our waiter was terrible. He kept talking about himself. He said he jogs in the 100 degree weather and that he works out with the Israeli army. He kept saying that he grew up next to the restaurant and that he still lives there. We all found him to be very annoying.
We will never return to Pascal Manale’s and advise others of the same. There are too many GREAT restaurants in New Orleans!
In NO for a few days. Had wonderful evening at Pascal’s Manale.
Outstanding as always. Plenty of room between tables, great service, and, of course, excellent food. No need to worry about parking also. Pascal's has their own parking lot. I'm a local. Get your rear end over here for some fine dining.
Amazing food for the "Coolinary Specials" in August. Great Service throughout.
Lived in New Orleans all my life, never been to Pascal’s. I have heard mixed reviews. We decided to try for the coolinery menu that most of the restaurants do for the month of August. Well, it did not disappoint, six of us dined and every plate was “licked clean”. The BBQ shrimp were amazing, the baby veal with lump crabmeat knocked our socks off! Atmosphere was old school New Orleans, the room is very loud, don’t expect a quiet dinner. I will definitely put this in to the dining out rotation.
Best bar b que shrimp ever! Toy was great waitress and dessert of key lime pie, spectacular!
