Beautiful historic building.
We'll, we had lunch, which was terrific--food and service and price. Dinner, however, disappointed. The small filet is $39, and includes only the small steak, nothing else. Sides are, unfortunately, "family" style, which means huge, way too big for just one person. The restaurant is having growing pains, so we're hoping it's dinner will match its excellent lunch. Also, a steak house should definitely offer baked potatoes. This one doesn't. By all means, get rid of the family style (huge) side dishes, or offer that size as an option for table sharing by a larger group. For single diners, or couples, however, offer small side dishes. We wish this restaurant the best, as the employees (Nancy, Debra) are simply the best. We'll give it another try, not just for excellent lunch, but hopefully for improved dinner (and lower prices).
My friend and I were very well pleased with this, our first trip since the new owners arrived. Food was excellent, chairs were comfy (we were seated by the window in the bar area.) It was lunchtime and very quiet.
We had no problem with conversation and will definitely return.
Because we are both short people the chairs were too low for us. Felt that the food prices are a little too high for the location of the restaurant. I love to support local businesses but can't afford that kind of food bill every time we eat out and we usually eat 2-3 time a week at restaurants.
Our second visit was just as amazing as he first. Every salad are so different and incredible. The porterhouse steak for two was so delish! Our new fave place in easton!
Food incredible. Service exquisite. Atmosphere wonderful. So much better than Mason's was. Delightful. Beautiful blond server, so sweet, can't believe we don't remember her name, but she was fabulous. She was working on 8/4. 5+ for the entire night.
This dinner was a reward after a hard few days of work. We have been here before and were looking forward to some of the menu items we had in the past. We were disappointed one item disappeared from the menu, but the remainder left us more than pleased. Very enjoyable evening. We had a great bottle of wine which was recommended. We look forward to our next visit.
This was our first time at Pascal's. Cannot say enough about how wonderful the evening was The food was fantastic, the service perfect! We highly recommend this beautiful spot and are proud to have it in our town We will take our guests here anytime.
We tried Pascal's because when it was Mason's it was one of our favorite spots in Easton. Most locals that had loved Mason's menu hated the change and did not encourage our visit. We stuck to simple items and ate outside which is always a favorite part of that property, no matter the name. We had wonderful service and though we did only have their burrata salad and short ribs, we enjoyed both dishes. I do think there is room for improvement to the menu and make sure the ingredients are as close to farm to table as possible but I would try them again and as a guest cottage owner in Saint Michael's, I'd like to think highly of them so that I feel as good about sending them to Pascal's as I did to Mason's.
This was my first time to this spot. I was in town for business. The service and food was very good. We will return when in town again.
Had dinner with friends recently and it was outstanding, food and service
The Scallops I had were simply fabulous, other favorites were tuna tartare and foie gras starters
We will return
My wife and I have been fans of Morton's of Chicago for years but our last visit there was a real disapointment. The Menu at the Chophouse is reminescent of Mortons with some differences. I can say that there was nothing disapointing about our Chophouse visit. The steak was perfect and well seasoned. The scallops were out of this world and the sides (we had creamed spinach (my personal favorite and my wife had the lobster Mac and Cheese) were equally good. the servers were attentive and quick. An overall great experience. We'd go back in a second.
The only criticism we had was that the dining chairs were very large and we are not. My wife is under 5 feet and she could not sit back in the chair. To their credit we asked for and received a bolster pillow on a moments notice which made all the difference.
My husband and I enjoyed picking small plates from the starters and the "accompaniment section." I had a small chopped salad and asparagus with crab meat and Hollandaise sauce. My husband had grilled shrimp, lobster bisque and the lobster tail. All delicious!!
We had a great family dinner with the best steaks ever!
This was our second time eating here, and both times they have been wonderful about accomodating our dietary needs. The food is delicious and the service has always been spot on. The fig manhattan on the cocktail list is amazing, and the guitar player there on Friday nights is fantastic! We actually came back specifically on a Friday to hear him play again.
Everything was good. Rolls were not.
Our food was very good but overly salty! Thought we should have been offered two rolls immediately instead of having to ask for a second.
The resturant is an upscale prime steakhouse, but the steaks were not outstanding. The service was what I would have expected at a diner, inattentive at best. The side dishes however were superb. The potatoes au gratin and the grilled shrimp were prepared perfectly, the salads were excellent and unique. The wine list is extensive, with a wide price range.
Steaks were perfect as ordered. Sides are HUGE but delicious.
A perfect setting for lunch with visiting relatives. We all had salads --huge, fresh, delicious. I may dream about the herb crusted fried goat cheese on my spinach salad.
Had the prix fixe with wedge salad, salmon and carrot cake. Husband had prix fixe with shrimp, NY strip and carrot cake. Great anniversary dinner. All was superb. If you like shrimp and bacon, it is worth raving about!
Perfect Birthday Dinner
We looked through Open Table for a good review in Easton. We decided to try Pascal's Chophouse. It was an excellent decision. We had dined here when it was Mason's. We were pleasantly surprised. My wife had a salad and the perite filet. It was cooked perfectly and it was tender and delicious. I had the special Allen Bros. 16 oz. steak. Expecting the very finest my wife's filet was actually better, but it was still very good. We had the au gratin potatoes and the mushrooms and onions. Ideal compliments.
The wine list was excellent and we loved the cab we picked.
A small dessert with a candle completed a very nice dinner.
We dined at Pascal's as part of our 45th wedding anniversary celebration weekend in St. Michael's. Another restaurant in St Michael's was originally recommended, but, they could not accommodate us so we went on line and found Pascal's. Am I ever glad the other restaurant was full up. From the moment we walked into Pascal's we were treated wonderfully. Our server, Hannah was warm, friendly, efficient and attended to us perfectly, yet, did not hover and let us enjoy our meal without constant interruption. The food was superb, the wine list had exactly what we wanted, and the chocolate cake was a delicious "death by chocolate" finish to a wonderful meal. We were also treated to a complimentary glass of champagne in celebration of our anniversary. Paschal's staff is a class act all the way, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable for a high quality dining experience. We will be back.....
I have eaten at Pascal's Chophouse in Easton on six occasions, and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Family and friends have all enjoyed everything on the menu, but I am a steak guy and love the steaks I've been served. I plan to continue visiting this Easton restaurant and encourage anyone to give it a try.
This was a very disappointing meal, especially given my desire for there to be a truly good place to get steak in Easton. Prices are just a shade lower than DC Ruth's Chris or Mortons, but the quality is dramatically less. The rolls had the taste of being at least day old, and if they were freshly baked, were then simply of low quality. My wife's filet was inedible--it was not only not tasty, but it had a "off" taste about it. My 16 oz ribeye was average, but it did not appear to be "prime" as was advertised, and to the extent that it was 16oz, it was achieved with length and width, rather than thickness. The brussels sprouts were very good, and five of the six oysters I ate were very tasty--the sixth had already gone bad. Really unsatisfying dinner, and so I will continue to grill my own steaks at home.
One of the best steaks I have ever had; that being said, I found the menu pricey--shall we say overpriced....but I would still recommend to any friend although they probably should get at least one seafood entree into the menu. Overall very good; I will definitely return....
It was very OK, but not excellent for the cost. I feel we need a great Steak house in Easton. I thought this was a good steak house not Great.
I have eaten lunch at this location three times in the last two weeks...twice with my husband and once with a friend. The décor is very pleasant, the service was excellent, but, most of all,
the food was exceptional. We are looking forward to going back to enjoy the dinner menu. So
happy to have such a fine new restaurant in our town.
How disappointing. It started with 14 Hands Wine I purchased last week for $10/bottle being served at $9/glass. It moved to a shrimp appetizer being smothered in an overwrought oily/cheesy covering...it then moved to a trio of overcooked chicken, thin sliced, tough brisket, but a passable small ribeye.
Unfortunately the waiter never asked how I wamted the ribeye cooked and it was overdone.
The dessert was NOT cheesecake. They said it was cheesecake on the menu. imdo not know what it was. But that was not cheesecake. It was a spoonful of something cheesy with no crust, alongside a several spoonfuls of fig something.
No. I am not returning.
Greeted by Robert Pasquel, lovely menu, all kinds of wonderful choices to be made. French onion soup was wonderful. Brussel sprout salad was virtuous. Half salads are a great choice. Meat options are expensive. Filet very well cooked. Pay attention to cooking recommended choices. Boar was only ok by 2 diners. I had scallops-- salty and did not like my risotto but liked the lobster that I picked out. Blue cheese and truffle sauce had no taste.
If you're a fan of upscale steakhouse dining, this is the place for you! O e of the best steaks I've had, lobster bisque to die for....I could go on and on. Service was good, and I'm sure will get better. A great 2 piece ensemble playing great jazz, but it was a bit loud for dining and chatting, I'd recommend getting the volume down a bit. Expensive but worth it.
My wife and I went there for our 15th wedding anniversary. The decor was top notch and service very professional. The Lamb was the best I have ever eaten in my life and all other foods were 5 star. We jokingly asked our server if she could play our wedding song "At Last" and within 5 minutes it was playing in our ears. They really have made this into a true Chophouse destination. Thank You Hannah and the entire Staff!
The atmosphere was great and the food was good (potatoes au gratin were excellent) but the steak was New York priced but the quality was lacking. The trout was not served properly and did not have the expected flavor. While I might go back, I would be very careful on my menu choices.
Tuesday night dinner was wonderful, as it was not crowded, so we enjoyed some banter with the waitress and good laughs. The new seating is very comfortable; the wait staff was knowledgeable and helped me select Gluten Free options.
Restaurant week serves as a preview of what to expect from a restaurant during busy dinner hours. The service and food we had were only fair.
For an "upscale" steakhouse, this is the greeting we got: Would you like some water or drinks? Zero interaction for most of the meal until it was almost time to settle the bill! We got more attention from the other server who was helping out. On top of that, my wife was served the wrong dessert and cold coffee!
I had the fillet which was done perfectly. My wife's pork chop was nothing to write home about(The Houston restaurant chain serves a much better pork chop!). The Brussels sprouts and mushrooms were excellent. The Mac n cheese were cold. They looked and tasted like plastic.
I understand it is busy during restaurant week. This very same scenario will repeat itself on any busy Saturday evening. For the same value, I would rather make the drive to go to Capital Grille or Ruth Chris.
Absolutely not worth the $.
This is a new restaurant and if the owner can keep the quality of food and service that I experienced it is sure to be a winner!
We attended restaurant week and the menu offered was quite good. Surprisingly, as a "Chop House", I was not pleased with my entrée which was the mixed grill. The pork belly was fine, but the steaks were awful, tasteless. I didn't finish them. Having said that, the rest of our meal was quite good, including the salmon entrée and the chopped salad. The grilled spiced shrimp and our desert was amazing! We'll go back for sure.
Best all around meal we've had in Easton. Qty/quality/innovation
As a party of four we went on opening night. Our group experience was excellent. From a well thought out menu to a nice prime meat selection we would highly recommend The Chophouse to others. We also felt the price point was in line for prime meats in comparing with other well know steakhouses. We look forward to dining there soon.
I have lunch here probably once a week - I live a town away but nonetheless it's always reliable with good food and good service. I tend to come either early or late for lunch because it gets very loud and it would be impossible to have a decent conversation during the busiest lunch hours. The flatbreads, soups, entree salads, and big sandwiches are consistently delicious.
I have never dined there at dinner time and would probably hesitate to do so because of the noise level. There is a bar, but I have not noticed that that is the draw. The wines by the glass list is excellent.
