Food was good, a little pricey however this review is meaningless as it was their last night of service in Easton, MD. It is now permanently closed.
They have really upped their game. Menu selection, food preparation and service was outstanding. We will definitely return. It's nice there is another great dining option in Easton.
A wonderful and cozy respite on a bitterly cold evening. Seated in front of the fireplace with flickering light was intimate and romantic. The service attentive but not intrusive. My husband's tenderlon was fork tender and my salmon seasoned to perfection. Wish we'd had room for desert. We will definitely return!
It was a birthday dinner celebrated by 6 family members. All of the others were happy with their selection of beef or pork chop. We shared the pasta with baked salmon special---DELICIOUS!!!
Every course was delicious and presented expertly. Service was very attentive. Atmosphere was relaxing and classy. The mood and the food fit nicely. Would recommend Pascal's to anyone interested in a special meal to impress.
We went here for Valentine's Day. The atmosphere and ambiance is lovely, very elegant like an old family home. This is formerly Mason's restaurant which we really loved. The menu was interesting and has enough variety and had appetizers that could be ordered as a main course if you don't want to eat too much. I ordered Caesar Salad and the lamb shank. The Ceasar salad had a lot of brown edges on the leaves which I had to return. The second salad had some more brown leaves, but I ate most of it anyway. I don't think a restaurant of this caliber and expense should be serving salad with any brown lettuce! My lamb shank was delicious with lovely brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. It was a huge dish so I took half of it home. My husband had the Venison Chili which he thoroughly enjoyed. Even though it was an appetizer, it was plenty for a meal with the corn bread. When the bill was presented, we were double charged for the chili but the waiter quickly took it off when we pointed it out. Overall, it was a very pleasant evening, but there are a few kinks that need to be worked out.
Very disappointed. We waited ten minutes at the hostess stand before anyone came to speak to us even though we had reservations. My husband's medium well steak was rare. The trio next to us had to send back a steak and a raw salmon. When the bill finally came, the waiter brought us a bill for $286 (our actual bill was about $136). We pointed out that it wasn't ours. It had 4 entrees and apps when we had none. He was polite, but given that the restaurant was not that busy, it was a mistake that should have been caught. We had looked forward to dining at Pascal's for awhile and will not be back. We hope others have a better experience.
My husband and I were traveling from North Carolina. We were seated right in front of the fire place. The ambiance was romantic, cozy and lovely. The food was exceptional. The short ribs are to die for. We will definitely make this one of our favorite Easton eating places. Great job
With Bartlett Pear closed, this is my current favorite in Easton. Good bar execution and limited, but appropriate wine list. Steaks done correctly with nice sides ( oversized, regrettably as I hate to waste food). A further High point was service.
Eating at Pascal's Chophouse was a treat. We were seated in a lovely dining room with a fire going. Very welcoming. The food was delicious, as was the service. Great restaurant!
Food was very good. Service was good but not outstanding. The wine steward/som was gracious...they were out of the first 2 wines we ordered so he offered us a nicer bottle at the same price point.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with 5 good friends with some hearing issues. Restaurant was busy but quiet enough for our conversation. Service was impeccable and the food was quite good. Our salad was especially amazing. The ambiance was upscale and felt like we were dining in someone's home. A perfect meal for an excellent weekend with our friends.
Count me among those sad to see Mason's gone. But if it was going to go.... at least it went to a place whose food is so delicious it will not disappoint. Also, I love the more masculine decor - very warm and cozy. We were so impressed with the food and our wonderful server - yes, it's expensive but worth every penny.
Pork Chop was great. Didn't attempt to finish the oysters as they were not. All other foods were okay. Service could definitely be improved. Dishes were not cleared between courses. Forgot steak knives. Staff didn't seem to care much about service. Was pricey for quality. Sides are large and sharing is advised. All in all a mediocre experience.
Our first dinner here since it changed ownership. It was even better than expected! Food was delicious and enough to bring home left-overs. We enjoyed the 60s music and each of our three courses. Our server had perfect timing. We were both very happy, and look forward to our next meal here.
We heard bad things about this place, but we adore it. It's been a tradition for just 2 years now. Last year, they were in the transition from Mason's to Pascal's and we enjoyed our meal last year obviously . So coming back, we heard that the place "stinks" but I'm chalking that up to people disliking change period or the place not offering their favorite Mason's dish, embrace it don't hate it. Atmosphere great, menu is EXCELLENT and "Fletch" the bartender came from Capitol Grille and knows how to take care of people. If you like a nice meal here and there and have some money to drop, go for it! This place holds it's value!
Food was awesome!!! Haven't lived every bite in a long time!!!
Arrived for a luncheon date and heard immediately from the staff that Pascals was closing for lunch in a week. Food was just so-so and over priced. Formally Masons Restaurant, the new owners clearly made a mistake in changing the menu. The restaurant was 50% empty a week before Christmas. Not worth the price.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so we were looking for something upscale and tasty. We found it. The atmosphere was classy, the service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious! They didn't even have a problem when I made a request to switch around the offerings on one of their specials. The stuffed mushroom caps are truly to die for and next time I may just get them as my meal! Everyone was so nice- we will be back.
What a wonderful surprise. The server was just super and so was the food. Loved the décor and the fireplace. Will definitely go again.
The food and service were amazing... especially so considering we discovered this gem on a Monday night ! Traditionally not a great night for dining out but this place was wonderful! We'll be back!
Slow service. Took 90 mins to get entrees. Nobody seemed to care. Veal chop tasted like it was a few days old.
Picked for dinner before our first time going to Avalon.
Bit expensive but very much worth it.
Wednesday evening and we had the dining room to ourselves the whole time.
Service was outstanding, everything was timed perfectly.
Both had Filets, one of the best steaks we have each ever had.
Sharing the large sides worked out very well which would have been difficult if either of us had selected an entree that included sides.
The menu has enough variety that there is something for everyone. My husband had the 10 oz filet and said it was done to perfection - he loved the bordelaise sauce too. I had the herb crusted halibut - beautiful presentation served atop spinach filled crepes.
The downside was the noise - we were seated near the bar and the bartender had the habit of throwing empty bottles and dumping plates when busing with no concern for the noise it made - truly irritating. Even if we were in the adjoining dining room it was audible - it really sounded like he was trying to break glass.
Our server was friendly, knowledgeable but less than attentive.
All in all ambiance and service suffered on this visit, but would go back because the food was wonderful.
My friend and I love coming here for lunch. The fried green tomato BLT is the best sandwich we have ever eaten. And now it is on incredibly delicious homemade bread that is crispy and bursting with flavor. This was off the menu for a while and we are so glad it is back. It now comes with a choice of sides. We haven't tried them all yet, but the coleslaw is perfectly seasoned and so fresh! The two of us split this sandwich and the spinach salad. This is the perfect lunch! Nancy, our server, is always so friendly and helpful. With the fireplace going, tablecloths, warm greetings and delicious food, Paschal's Chophouse is the perfect place for lunch! In the right weather, the outdoor seating on the patio or on the porch is also wonderful.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent. We will be back!
Best restaurant in Easton. Great food and drinks, excellent service, and not noisy. Lovely all the way around.
Great food, excellent setting, competent and pleasant service.
This was our fourth visit to this restaurant. While on previous visits the quality of the food was very good, this time they discontinued our favorite prime porterhouse. They suggested instead the "Tomahawk". The meet was not first quality and it was not cooked properly. The price was very high and not worth it. We will not go back to this restaurant.
This was our third excellent meal in a row at Pascal's Chophouse. They really have the format down to a science. The menu selections are great and all of the accompanying side dishes are stand-alone excellent. Steaks were cooked to perfection as one would expect in a high end steak house. Their bearnaise sauce is the BEST I have ever tasted in a restaurant (as good as what I make from scratch at home) Desserts are excellent as well. Definitely a foodie stamp of approval for Pascal's Chophouse.
